ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Capital Project Manager to oversee the management and development of the school estate.

Reporting to the Head of Estates and Projects and working with the estates team, you will be responsible for delivering the capital developments across the estate, including a focus on new schools, sustainability projects and efficiency standards.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing SCA project priorities, budgets and delivery from inception to end of defects
• Managing the opening and delivery of new free schools with the DfE, design teams and local authorities
• Managing and supporting estate condition, maintenance and asset management
• Managing capital elements of academy conversion projects
• Planning, procuring and delivering high-quality estate and project services
• Managing and monitoring external technical advisors
• Managing health & safety across all project lifecycles
• Managing third-party suppliers and consultants
• Managing consultations, admissions, branding, marketing, FF&E and uniforms for new schools
• Providing professional property services and ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations
• Assisting with estate-related policies, procedures and statutory frameworks
• Contributing to capital fund prioritisation and overseeing capital projects
• Assisting in developing a carbon reduction strategy
• Managing and supporting key building programmes and reporting to senior leaders
• Contributing to monthly project performance reports

• A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a project management environment
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Project management experience within education, not-for-profit or public sector

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to join the School’s successful Development Team. Reporting to the Head of Development, working alongside the other members of the team and within the wider External Relations department, the successful candidate will coordinate and develop the School’s substantial programme of events and engagement activities for its alumni, manage the School’s fundraising and stewardship communications and activities, and oversee the day-to-day administration of the Department’s work.

Educated to degree level, with proven experience in both developing relationships with individuals and wider community engagement, the successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator and effective decision maker who will use their impeccable organisation skills to ensure the continuous improvement of the team’s work.  Fundraising or alumni relations experience is desirable, although candidates from a variety of backgrounds will be considered.

PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) is a well‑established, evidence‑based social and emotional learning (SEL) programme. It supports young children to build core life skills including self‑awareness, self‑management, social awareness, healthy relationships and responsible decision‑making.

About the role

As Programme Co‑ordinator, you will lead the local implementation of PATHS, working collaboratively with preschool teams to embed the programme effectively and confidently into daily practice. Your role will be both hands‑on and strategic, and will include:

• Providing coaching and ongoing support to Early Years settings delivering PATHS
• Modelling high‑quality programme delivery in preschool environments
• Delivering training and guidance to staff to build confidence and consistency
• Developing strong, inclusive relationships with settings to support positive outcomes for children

You'll be part of a supportive UK‑wide Barnardo's PATHS team, with access to full training, resources and peer support to help you succeed and grow in the role.

About you

In addition to meeting the criteria in the generic Programme Co‑ordinator Person Specification, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following service‑specific experience and attributes:

  • A recognised professional teaching qualification

The Supporter Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance, to ensure a first-class supporter experience.

The Supporter Relations Officer is responsible for delivering essential supporter engagement activities, ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for every contact, recognise opportunities to increase supporter loyalty, and generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. The post holder is the first escalation point for the Executives when dealing with more complex enquiries, using the experience to support on the job training at delivering an excellent supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporter Enquiry Management

· Act as the first escalation point for Executives with complex enquiries, helping to troubleshoot the enquiry in a suitable timely manner and ensuring the delivery of a warm and positive response for the supporter.

· Support the team Executives with inbound enquiries by telephone, email, post and social media, ensuring the highest standard of responses and covering absences on occasion.

· Promote fundraising, engagement and retention opportunities when talking to supporters using a range of initiatives to explain how their donations positively contribute towards the cause.

· Ensure all campaign briefings are delivered to the team to equip them for enquiry handling.

· Delivery of the promotion of and supporting supporters in the best practice in ‘in aid of’ fundraising policies.  

Supporter Stewardship

· Delivery of outbound thanking and stewardship programmes.

· Assist the Senior Officer in ensuring effective management regions at specified levels, to ensure appropriate stewardship.

· Working alongside the Executives on the delivery of the Tiering and Triage system and supporting the Senior Officer in making decisions on supporters requiring manual intervention to tier. And input into reviews of the tiering system to ensure it is fit for purpose and is offering the supporter the best stewardship journey. 

· Support the Senior Officer in managing the supporter follow‑up process to ensure funds are received promptly and accurately. 

· Responsible for ensuring the quality of our Thanking processes and content are to the highest standards.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams – Relationship Fundraising, Mass Participation and Sporting Events, In Memory and Individual Giving, ensuring that supporters are given the best level of stewardship. 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience of working in a customer facing role within an office environment.

· Experience of handling complaints and queries.

· Enthusiasm for building excellent supporter relationships and ensuring supporters feel valued and thanked appropriately.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working, you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. Overall job purpose

The role and responsibilities

• Collaboration: Work closely with our UK schools team to understand regional challenges and identify how your outreach can best support the growth of their specific territories. 

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate custom reports on our CRM database to identify opportunities for growth, cleanse Mutli-Academy Trust accounts, and analyse campaign performance.

• Market Intelligence: Develop an in-depth understanding of the UK ed-tech landscape and the evolving statutory requirements for careers guidance in schools.
   

Working together

You’ll be working with the UK schools team, and line managed by the Head of UK Sales. You’ll work closely with our Area Managers, and also have the opportunity to work with other teams across the company, including UK Primary Schools, Marketing, Employers and HE.

Key details 

• £34,625 per annum (pro rata) (Grade A), plus commission on demos booked. OTE £41,000. 

• Full time.

• Fixed term contract - 12 month maternity cover. 

• Work remotely or in our London or Edinburgh office. 

• 28 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays).

• Working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Friday.
