ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Data Protection Compliance Officer to join our central compliance team.

You will play a key role in supporting the Federation’s Data Protection Officer and the wider Central Data Protection Team. You will help ensure the organisation operates in full compliance with legal regulations, government guidelines, and best practice—making a real contribution to safeguarding data across the Federation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

In this role, you will:

• Raise data protection awareness across the Federation
• Deliver, design and coordinate focused data protection awareness training, including analysing training needs
• Manage data incidents, ensuring swift containment, thorough severity analysis and accurate reporting
• Prepare targeted data protection communications for Data Champions
• Compile Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Sharing Agreements
• Liaise with the Supply Management Team to conduct data protection due diligence on new third-party suppliers
• Monitor completion and maintain accurate records of Federation-wide “All Staff Data Protection Awareness Training"
• Capture and report data protection risks and related mitigating actions, as directed
• Carry out data protection monitoring and reviews across the Federation’s academies

• Support the Data Protection Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer on Federation-wide initiatives and projects

• Coordinate a comprehensive suite of general compliance training for Head Office and academies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A graduate-level education (or relevant experience/qualifications in lieu of a degree)
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
• Working knowledge of the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data Use & Access Act 2025, including practical implementation
• Previous experience in education management, compliance, or data protection.
• Project management experience
• Experience working in a professional, high-paced environment

Funding Operations Manager

12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover

Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.

Purpose of Role

This role plays a key part in enabling the smooth running of the Comic Relief Funding Department by developing, maintaining and co-ordinating the efficient and effective management of Funding Department financial and operations processes and systems. 

This post will work closely with the Funding leadership team and key posts across wider Comic Relief to ensure that Comic Relief’s funding practice is enabled through consistent and efficient financial and operational policies, processes and systems. 

Key responsibilities:

Financial responsibilities 

· Work with the Head of Funding Operations and Approaches to oversee , manage and drive the financial aspects of Comic Relief’s grant making within the Funding Department.  This includesbeing the first point of contact for Funding Department colleagues for queries relating to grant making financial processes and systems, initially troubleshooting problems and looking for ways to improve funding team financial systems, streamline funding financial team processes and generally make Funding Department financial operations more efficient

· Act as the Funding Team focal point for Finance, maintaining good communications and relationships with the CR Finance Team.

· Proactively identify risks relating to grant finances and operations, working with colleagues in the Finance and Funding Departments to propose solutions to resolve issues that may arise. 

· Support the development and delivery of training on Funding Team Financial Systems for Funding Department colleagues.

· Co-ordinate monthly payments to funded partners and assist Funding Team colleagues with trouble shooting, ensuring that payments are made on time

· Co-ordinate monthly delegated decision making on funding, including ensuring papers are submitted, and liaising with Finance to ensure funds are subsequently allocated accurately. 

· Co-ordinate processes around CR trustee board and sub-committee board approval of funding, including liaison with finance and other colleagues

· Support the Funding Director with accurate forecasting, reporting and record keeping on CR Grant Making activity, including the development and implementation of systems for tracking grant making, and the preparation of reports. 

Operations responsibilities 

· Proactively support the Head of Funding Operations and Approaches, the Funding Director, and other Funding Team heads on the development of grant giving operational policies, processes and systems, looking for opportunities to improve systems and processes to ensure efficient and consistent grant giving practice

· Support the Head of Operations and Approaches with the continual development and operationalisation of the funding handbook, including working closely and responsively with compliance, legal, finance and data teams, and proactively supporting the implementation of the funding handbook internally within the Funding Department. 

· Act as the Funding Team focal point for data queries, maintaining good communications and relationships with the CR Data Team

· Work with colleagues within CR’s data function to support the ongoing maintenance and efficient use of the Salesforce Grant Management System, in line with Funding Department operational needs

· Be the internal first point of contact within the Funding Team for queries about the Salesforce Grant Making database, initially troubleshooting problems where possible, and providing basic training to new and existing members of the funding team. 

· As requested, and as resource allows, carry out ad hoc research requests on CR’s funding utilising the Salesforce Grant Making database. 

· Assist colleagues within the Funding Team with queries around potential funded partner assessments, compliance and financial checks, and, as resource allows, assist with these assessments and checks. .

· Support with fulfilling Comic Relief commitments to initiatives such as IATI and 360 Giving

· Support the Funding team with any other finance or operations related tasks and projects as requested by the Director of Funding or Head of Operations and Approaches.

About the role

This is a dynamic, strategic role and the successful candidate will exercise PersonCentred clinical responsibility for Woman’s Trust (WT), counselling, groupwork and other therapeutic services.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of seamless, highquality service across all of our client-facing provisions. The post holder will support the CEO to ensure the future development of WT by leading the frontline staff team in the provision of high-quality, relevant and safe services to survivors of violence and abuse in line with WT’s aims and principles.

The Head of Therapeutic Services, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, will work closely with colleagues across WT, to plan and implement quality improvement plans in order to deliver outstanding services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This role will deputise for the CEO when necessary.

Working with key stakeholders to ensure that WT counselling services are delivered to a high professional standard, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and the Person-Centred approach.

Leading on the development of new opportunities for the enhancement and expansion of WT counselling services, on the clinical representation of WT services to external bodies and involvement in campaigning for the improvement of services for women experiencing DA, and to be the safeguarding lead for WT.

The Sadie Centre at Herts Mind Network delivers a diverse and well-established programme of wellbeing classes for the local community. About the role

The Classes and Events Co-ordinator will be responsible for the effective operational management, development and promotion of the Centre’s classes, courses and related events.

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity not only to ensure the smooth day-to-day delivery of an already thriving programme, but also to help shape its future development. The postholder will play a key role in supporting service growth, broadening participation, diversifying the range of classes on offer and strengthening the Centre’s reach within the community.

The position requires a unique combination of organisational excellence, creativity and enterprise. The ideal candidate will be efficient and detail-focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside the ability to develop engaging written content for promotion and engagement. The successful candidate will be as comfortable with customer service and Front-of-House support as they are with administration, programme coordination, Systems Management, line management and team recruitment. They will have an understanding of mental health and wellbeing, and the role of community-based support services in the charity sector, demonstrable understanding of all relevant legislation for data protection and safeguarding and excellent organisational and workload management skills.

Purpose of the role

The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.

​What you'll do:

• ​Monitor Samaritan’s social media channels, ensuring content is appropriate for audiences
• Develop, maintain and update standard response templates and moderation guidelines
• Provide timely, appropriate responses to a wide range of people engaging with Samaritans over social media
• Develop social Q&As for key campaigns, policy positions and news events in collaboration with other teams
• Provide advice, support, and training to branches and volunteers managing their own communities via social media
• Work closely with our moderation agency, ensuring adequate out of hours coverage and quality check responses
• Analyse audience engagement and feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement

What you’ll bring:

• ​Experience of working on social media for a cause, campaign or high-profile brand, or in communications or marketing
• Great digital copywriting skills
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and techniques
• Experience in responding to a varied range of enquiries via social media
• Creative approach to creating and publishing digital content
• Ability to communicate sensitively, particularly around issues involving mental health and suicide
• Awareness of campaigns, news and trends within the charity sector and social media
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with Sprout Social (desirable)
• Experience working with volunteers or within the charity sector (desirable)​
