The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention. The postholder will support clients throughout their time in the service, empowering them with the skills to cope independently, while working in line with organisational values, the ethos of recovery, and principles of co-production. The ideal candidate will have lived experience of mental health care pathways, including emergency department attendance, acute admissions, and community mental health services, alongside a solid understanding of the issues affecting individuals with a range of mental health conditions. They will be able to communicate effectively and provide support with dignity and respect, forming and sustaining trusting relationships with service users, carers, peer support workers, and professionals. Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential to engage appropriately with service users in crisis, colleagues, and external agencies, both in person and over the phone. Knowledge of recovery tools, local mental health and wellbeing support, and the ability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations to provide appropriate signposting are required. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance projects, scheduling repairs and routine maintenance, and ensuring our buildings are maintained to a high standard. This is an exciting time to join Spires and play an integral part in delivering our new Croydon Day Centre, which we are delivering in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) and CAYSH, with the support of MHCLG’s Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund.
About us: Spires is a grassroots South London charity working with people impacted by homelessness to lead lives of greater stability. Our support workers provide non-judgemental and tailored advice and guidance to adults who are currently facing homelessness or are at risk. We support people to secure housing that is sustainable, suitable for their needs, so they leave homelessness behind for good.
Part 1: The Role
This role sits within our Housing and Homelessness (H&H) team. The post holder’s work will centre around three days a week at the Croydon Day Centre, with two days working in the community, which will include working from our refugee drop-in delivery in partnership with Croydon Refugee Day Centre (CRDC). The post holder will also work at our H&H services in Lambeth and Wandsworth on occasion, and colleagues from those services will also support the running of the Croydon Day Centre. The post holder will work from our Stockwell Office on Wednesdays.
Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities
Service Delivery & Support
· Welcome and engage service users in a non-judgemental, compassionate manner.
· Provide basic needs support such clothing, and access to a safe space.
· Offer advice, advocacy and signposting on housing, health services and other support agencies.

Case Management
· Maintain accurate, confidential records of interactions and support plans.

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service
Location: The postholder will be an employee of The Spires Centre. This post is based at
Elmfield House 5 Stockwell Mews SW9 9GX. However, the post holder will be working across Spires’ drop-ins in Lambeth, Wandsworth and Croydon.
Probation: This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
Notice: This post is subject to a four-week notice period.
Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year pro rata, made up of eight bank and public holidays and 27 days annual leave. The 27 days annual leave is normally split between 24 ‘bookable’ days and three closure days that fall between Christmas and the New Year.
Pension: The Spires Centre will contribute 5% of annual salary for those who qualify for our group pension plan.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for a Senior Support Officer (Digital) to join our enthusiastic and passionate Information and Support team to help make a real difference to the lives of families and babies in neonatal care.
The Senior Support Officer (Digital) plays a vital role in ensuring that every family of a baby born sick or premature can access impactful and personalised support, at their time of need.
By leading the improvement and development of Bliss digital support services, you will help support families with babies born premature or sick to be confident, well informed, connected to the help they need, and to be partners in the care of their babies.
Terms
Location: Hybrid (3 days per fortnight in the London office, SE1)
Salary:£37,035 FTE
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week). Permanent
Role Details
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of offering support across a variety of platforms to make a real difference as part of a small, dynamic and dedicated charity.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
·Extensive experience of supporting people with emotional and/or practical support needs across digital platforms and digital support services.
·Strong people and communication skills, including the ability to support people in distress.
·Strong experience and skills for digital support content creation and moderation of online platforms
·Experience as a supportive, person-focussed line manager
·Skills for leading and contributing to project teams to improve and develop new services based on user needs.
·Strong experience of service-user involvement and co-creation, with skills to lead initiatives to ensure services are designed around users’ needs.
·Experience of working in partnership with external organisations and individuals to develop and deliver services

The role
As a Board Member you will be responsible for:
· Helping to set our strategic direction.

The role is expected to require a time commitment of around 15 days a year, including an overnight stay to attend an away day. Our meetings are held during the day and generally in London. There may be occasional travel required to other locations, e.g for a scheme opening.

Main Purpose Of Job:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in a dual-role capacity, supporting two vital services run in partnership with Homeless Oxfordshire and Connection Support. The role covers both our Step Down provision—designed for individuals discharged from hospital under the Discharge to Assess model—and our service at Mawle Court, which provides temporary accommodation and support for people with complex needs, including those preparing for more independent living or in need of emergency provision. Working as part of a small, dynamic, and enthusiastic team, you will be responsible for delivering a safe and supportive environment across both services. You will lead on the case management of clients with complex needs, working collaboratively with partner agencies to develop and implement holistic, individualised support and move-on plans. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, helping them on their journey towards stability and independence.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
To proactively and dynamically assess, monitor, manage and respond to risk for individuals and in the service.
To assess risk and suitability of referrals to the service and book new clients in.
Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
To work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the creation and delivery of holistic wrap around support and risk management plans for clients with complex needs as well as to ensure clients have access to appropriate healthcare as needed.
To work collaboratively with clients to identify and work towards suitable move on.
To work with other agencies to provide client centred support & risk management plans for clients with complex needs to identify work towards a suitable move on option within 6 weeks.
To work alongside the Client Engagement Co-Ordinator to ensure clients have access to opportunities to be empowered, build their confidence and develop independent living skills; to facilitate groups and activities as part of this.
To make and maintain Housing Benefit claims.
Ensure that IT systems are updated as required clear, concise and up to date record keeping is maintained and ensure information is shared with the team and external agencies as required.
To represent Homeless Oxfordshire at interagency meetings, as required.
Manage challenging situations and report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
