We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our operations team, someone with a strong financial background with excellent attention to detail, a flexible attitude, an ability to work effectively under their own initiative and as part of a small team, together with excellent organisation and administrative skills.
Effective financial control is central to our strategy and operating model. The finance officer plays an essential role in maintaining control over our finances and operations. You will process and monitor financial transactions, liaise with our payroll bureau regarding staff payroll and pensions and support the Head of finance. You will be experienced in using Dynamics 365 Business Central as an accounting system.
This is a part-time role for two days a week (0.4FTE), with flexibility about when the hours are worked. It's a hybrid role, working from home and from our office. You will report to our Head of finance. You will also work with all staff on financial matters including personal and credit card expenses, central and project income and expenditure, and processing of payroll by liaising with our external bureau.

We’re looking for a highly skilled individual who will help build on our relationships and networks across Westminster, to deliver ambitious political leadership on a range of issues. We’re looking for a proactive and technically minded IT Administrator to join our small but mighty IT team. We are looking for two Deputy Team Managers to join our Ofsted Registered Young Person’s Accommodation Services, with one opportunity in Camden and one in Greenwich. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will help turn our accommodation into places where young people aged 16 and over - including care leavers and young people facing multiple disadvantage - can build trust, discover their strengths and take meaningful steps towards adulthood and independence.
You will be a visible, energising presence in the service, giving staff the guidance, confidence and space they need to deliver exceptional support. From coaching colleagues and strengthening support and safety plans to responding to safeguarding concerns, missing episodes and periods of disengagement, you will help the team remain curious, persistent and ambitious for every young person. You will also make sure preparation for the future starts from day one, creating opportunities for young people to develop practical life skills, reconnect with education or employment and move towards a home of their own.
You will build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies, maintain high standards across housing management, health and safety and Ofsted compliance, and make sure young people are not simply consulted but genuinely heard. Their experiences, ideas and ambitions should shape the support they receive and the way the service grows.

We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to support our Policy and Public Affairs team and lead on engaging with our members. You will be the main point of contact for our members and support our Policy team to mobilise the collective voice of our membership to influence public policy and drive long-lasting, systemic change. The successful candidate will be competent in digital technology, have a passion for human rights, equality and social justice, some experience or knowledge of public policy and/or human rights and equality frameworks, and strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
This is a varied role that would suit a candidate with a broad range of skills and interests. Each day is likely to be different and might include drafting communications material, supporting a submission to a government consultation or arranging and servicing member meetings.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Membership engagement
Support potential new members through our member application process, prepare applications for review by the board
Arrange inductions with new members, including arranging induction meetings between senior staff and CEOs
Organise regular members’ meetings, contacting and liaising with speakers from across our membership and research networks, as well as parliamentarians and other policy-makers.
Ensure all our methods of engagement (meetings, events, comms, web content, etc) are accessible, liaising with participants, suppliers, venues, etc to ensure that access needs are met
Maintain our member and research network contact lists and support the Head of Policy and Engagement in maintaining contact lists for parliamentary contacts, using Mailchimp
Take ownership of longer-term projects to support and improve our membership engagement offer
Use membership engagement to support the wider team in its long-term efforts to protect the equality and human rights legal framework
Communications and Engagement
Draft and send member updates regularly, informing our members about opportunities for collaboration, and upcoming meetings and events
Draft and send newsletters to our audience of 5,000, providing updates on the work of our membership as well as news and updates from government and public bodies
Draft and schedule LinkedIn and other social media posts to share information about our work and that of our members.
Update and manage the website with any relevant news or information.
Monitor and report on engagement levels with our newsletters, member updates, social and web content, suggesting areas for improvement.
Use communications tools and techniques to mobilise support for the protection of the equality and human rights legal framework.
Policy and team support
Organise meetings and events; including timelines, sending invites and reminders, speaker liaison, logistics and planning.
Draft meeting agendas and send along with any supporting documentation in advance of any meetings.
Take the minutes at various meetings, summarise for distribution, and follow up on any actions.
Monitor and report on the attendance levels of our members’ meetings, working group meetings and events.
Draft and administer satisfaction and impact surveys, and report on the results.
Support the wider team to conduct its policy influencing work for example, through government consultations and correspondence with policy makers.

Communication skills:
Very strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community based integrated service providing support to individuals who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence including Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation and Sex Workers. The services are being provided in a variety of ways including through Casework, IDSVA, and MARAC. We will be working closely with key partner agencies within the Newham Borough to provide holistic support to all individuals who have or are experiencing domestic and/ or sexual violence and to improve awareness within the community of domestic and sexual violence and the support that is available for victims.
In this vital role, you will manage incoming referrals, liaise with partner agencies, provide compassionate short‑term support via our phone line, and ensure accurate case management across our systems. You'll also deliver domestic abuse awareness workshops, develop culturally sensitive resources, and build strong relationships with local community organisations to improve early intervention pathways. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help ensure every client receives a safe, respectful, and effective service, while upholding Hestia's values, confidentiality standards, and commitment to inclusive practice.
This is a hybrid role, with two days working from home, one day based in a co‑working location in Newham, and two days spent delivering community‑based work across Newham.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You will have a solid background in domestic abuse support, safeguarding, or related community‑based services, with experience handling highly sensitive information, offering advice to survivors, and working across multi‑agency domestic abuse teams. A deep understanding of the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse, gender‑based violence, multiple disadvantage, and trauma is essential, alongside knowledge of local community services and networks. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative experience, including accurate data entry, confident use of MS Office, and the ability to manage complex tasks within tight timeframes. You will be calm, resilient, and able to manage challenging situations, while maintaining excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Experience delivering workshops or training, engaging grassroots organisations, and building strong multi‑agency partnerships is highly desirable, as is familiarity with MARAC processes. Self‑motivation, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive practice are key to success in this role.
