The Role

We are seeking a Director for Charities to lead and further develop the Company’s grant-making and philanthropy. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering charitable strategy and ensuring the Company’s resources create meaningful, long-term impact for young people and communities.

The Director for Charities will oversee our grant-making, steward key funding relationships and play a central role in developing fundraising within our warm, committed and engaged community of members, including growing individual giving, legacies and events-based income. The role is inherently relational, working closely with charity partners, schools, dioceses, Company members and colleagues. You will support and advise grant-making committees, convene learning and engagement events, and represent the Company within external funder networks to remain connected to best practice in modern philanthropy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be key part of our Wellbeing and Communities directorate, offering vital support and strategic direction to our Learning and Wellbeing team to achieve our vision and meet funder requirements and coordinating the development of a new partnership aimed at improving health and wellbeing for people across North and West Bristol. You will lead a team that combines wellbeing and health and employment support, as well as offering support and synergy to other teams in the directorate. You will work closely with our Senior Wellbeing and Learning Coach to develop interventions to improve confidence, physical and mental health and employment prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Partnerships

· To develop and contribute to forums and partnerships that support the growth of our work in North Bristol, including working closely with health partners (community health, Primary Care and acute services) and the learning and employment sectors to develop collaborative services.

· To oversee the Learning and Wellbeing Service and activities, ensuring they meet funder requirements, targets, and quality standards, and are safe, effective and well-managed, including oversight of reporting and budgets and providing leadership and guidance to the Senior Coach.

· To support the development and delivery of the Healthy Ageing Research Project and Community Consortium, working closely with the CEO and Wellbeing and Communities Development Manager.

· To deputise for the Wellbeing and Communities Development Manager at relevant meetings and support the ongoing development of the Communities and Wellbeing team to meet Southmead Development Trust’s strategic objectives.

· To embed community development principles across all work, including strength-based approaches, participant involvement, engagement, and the nurturing of volunteers to help build a resilient community.

· To ensure the safe and effective delivery of activities, interventions and services, including oversight of risk assessments, safeguarding processes, data recording and quality assurance, in collaboration with the Wellbeing and Communities Development Manager.

· To work alongside research partners to develop effective methods for evidencing the impact and effectiveness of interventions, activities and services.

Team Leadership and Line Management

· To lead and inspire the team to create a positive and collaborative culture.

· Coordinate, manage and supervise our Learning and Wellbeing team, and other practitioners as appropriate.

· To provide proactive performance management of staff via the Trusts’ processes, to include but not limited to, holding monthly one-to-one meetings, establishing development opportunities and training.

· To lead team meetings and ensure all practitioners have access to reflective practice and appropriate training

Systems and Marketing

· To work with SDT colleagues and others to improve systems and processes to best support services and other contractual obligations

· To be a key advocate for Beacon database

· To work alongside SDTs Communications Manager to ensure that our services and activities are known and understood by residents of Southmead and North Bristol

Relationship Development, Fundraising New Opportunities 

· Build relationships with external agencies, organisations and stakeholders to best support staff and participants and develop new opportunities for delivery and collaborative working. 

· Coordinate the Learning and Wellbeing steering group meeting, gathering feedback, advice and ideas to continually improve the service

· Work with teams across Southmead Development Trust to develop engagement and volunteering opportunities for participants.

· Produce content, with the support of the communications team, for social media, mail shots and other channels, to promote and celebrate our wellbeing and learning work

· To develop external funding bids and proposals to sustain and expand our programmes, working with colleagues from the Senior Leadership Team and across the Trust; supporting other income generating activities including supporting the development of tender responses to sustain health and wellbeing initiatives

St Peter’s Hospice are looking to recruit a Band 6 Nurse or Health Care Professional to join our Hospice at Home team, providing specialist end‑of‑life care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

As a Band 6 clinician within our Hospice at Home service, you will work autonomously in patients' homes, providing high‑quality clinical, practical and emotional support to individuals in the last four weeks of life and to their families.

• Visiting patients to review symptom control and assess care needs
• Providing expert end‑of‑life care advice and support
• Undertaking remote assessments where needed to prioritise care safely

• Collaborating with CHC and other hospice teams, with access to senior nurse and medic advice
• Supporting a caseload that increasingly includes both malignant and non‑malignant conditions, reflecting community frailty and long‑term health needs

As a Band 6, you will act as a clinical lead and role model for a large team of Senior Palliative Care Support Workers, offering clinical supervision and supporting them in work that can be emotionally demanding.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team as Administration Manager. As Manager of a small team of administration assistants, you will play a crucial role in coordinating administrative support across our Perth and Aberdeen offices, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation by providing support across several of the charity’s functions including fundraising, finance, marketing and operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar office or administration management role, ideally within the charity sector. They will be proactive in building positive relationships across the charity and will be confident managing projects, budgets and external suppliers. They will have experience of using CRM systems in a fundraising context, be solutions-focused and have a strong commitment to our mission.

This role will be based from our headquarters at Perth Airport, and occasional travel to our Aberdeen base will be required. About Citadel and your role 

Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project supporting people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness to settle into a home, sustain their tenancy, and feel part of a supportive community. 

Since 2020, Citadel has expanded across Wales and England. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, compassionate and solutions-focused individual who believes in the power of community to end homelessness, to be part of our growing community project in Hastings. 

As our support worker, you will work alongside the Citadel Coordinator and our volunteers, to provide short-term, intensive support to individuals with complex needs, helping them overcome barriers to resettlement and tenancy sustainment.

You will use a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to help individuals build confidence, independence and lasting stability.

Role Overview

You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, including policy and research, to ensure feedback is used to inform planning and supports delivery in their areas. Furthermore, you’ll be using your management skills to support and provide effective day to day leadership and coordination within the Services & Support team.

We are looking for someone with strong project management skills, who has experience of stakeholder engagement and an analytical skill set. You’ll have demonstrable experience of scoping, designing, and developing new services, programmes, or projects at a strategic level and experience of leading support services in a health charity

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. • We’re looking for an experienced, delivery-focused manager to lead our event-led merchandise trading offer during a maternity cover. This is a hands-on role for someone who can keep business-as-usual running smoothly while delivering pop-ups and two major retail peaks: Welcome and Graduation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

1. IT RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Be the first point of contact for our externally contracted IT support team, to ensure all devices are maintained, updated, upgraded, and secured, including operating systems, security patches, antivirus, and endpoint protection. 

• Lead on all IT systems across the organisation, including hardware, software, networks, cloud-based systems, and user access. 

• Be our cyber security awareness champion and link with the external IT support team on any suspected cyber incidents, phishing attempts, data breaches, or system vulnerabilities. 

• Purchase, install and configure new IT equipment and software in line with organisational needs, budget, and security requirements. 

• Support staff with installing and using approved software and digital tools, providing guidance and basic training as required. 

• Maintain accurate IT documentation, including user access, licences, warranties, and renewal schedules. 

• Support business continuity from an IT perspective, ensuring systems resilience, backups, and disaster recovery arrangements are in place and tested. 

2. Resources and Core Business Administration  

• Lead on organisational resource management, including purchasing of equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with budgetary controls. 

• Maintain and update the Asset Register, ensuring all equipment is logged, tracked, and reviewed appropriately. 

• Provide administration to support the core business team including finance, health and safety contractors, insurance contracts 

• Support the maintenance and regular review of the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring it remains accurate, practical, and up to date. 

• Assist with record keeping, document control, and data accuracy across administrative and resource systems. 

• Contribute to the smooth running of central administrative processes and support continuous improvement in systems and ways of working. 

ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
