About the role
Sightsavers are looking for an experienced Project Finance Officer to support the Digital Futures Programme. As the Project Finance Officer, you will manage the day-to-day financial operations, donor compliance, partner oversight, and ensure alignment with programme objectives.
Further responsibilities include:
Donor Budget Management and Reporting

Preparation and maintenance of the Project Budget to ensure data is complete and maintained on a timely basis.

Work with the project team to ensure that all donor-related information is disseminated to project, finance, and logistics staff as well as partners to enable them to abide by donor rules and regulations.

In coordination with project staff and partners, prepare and regularly update the spending plan.
Financial Management:

Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports and send to the Programme Manager and to other relevant staff.

Prepare quarterly financial report as per Institutional donor requirements, ensuring it is complete, accurate and produced on time to ensure adequate review, approval, and submission to the Finance Lead-Digital Futures programme.

Capture and review transactions in AMC monthly to ensure they are correctly coded and accurately captured with clear descriptions.

Prepare and consolidate the monthly invoice and expense projection. Analyse differences between the projections and actual spending and submit adjustments as required.

Ensure financial reports are produced in compliance with Donor’s exchange rate policies, including keeping track of expenditure in currencies other than GBP and identifying the rate at which they need to be converted into GBP.
Partner Financial Reporting:

Ensure partners report as per the required reporting template for both internal and donor formats.

Review and coordinate the consolidation of partner financial reports.

Undertake quarterly financial monitoring visits to partners to review internal control processes and provide capacity building in procurement, reporting and compliance and other areas of weakness.

Coordinate with all partners for review of financial reports, payment (Funds) requests to finance and overall financial oversight. (This includes integrating reports, providing financial advice based on donor compliance rules to partners).

Undertake partner visits to review their financial procedures, capacity building and follow through on implementation of recommendations.
Procurement:

Identity program procurement needs in consultation with the Program Manager.

Supply chain procurement preparation in coordination with the Central Procurement team.

Source for quotations and analyse the quotations for review by FSSM.

Adherence to donor rules, Sightsavers programme procurement for the project consumables and Global Financial Framework and Procurement Policies.
Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will possess a relevant professional accounting qualification and a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting. You will have working experience in a similar role, ideally within and INGO environment, including a background in managing grants/contracts from institutional donors and Foundations, and have experience in financial review and compliance for public institutions and OPDs.

Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Hannah Braithwaite who is based in London. Hannah is responsible for leading ClientEarth’s fundraising efforts for its growing portfolio of programmes. Hannah has dedicated her career to raising funds and resources for climate and nature causes. With a degree in Zoology from Sheffield University, Hannah combines her scientific background with her passion for the environment to generate impact with knowledge and credibility. Prior to joining ClientEarth Hannah has held a number of leading roles at prominent international environmental organisations, including Head of External Affairs at the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre and Head of Trusts and Foundations at Fauna & Flora.
Main Duties
- Develop and implement the global philanthropy strategy as part of the overall fundraising strategy, liaising with senior leadership, programme leads, communications and finance to ensure ClientEarth can maximise the potential income from major donors.
- Develop, implement and achieve relevant KPIs and financial targets for the philanthropy team and lead on the production of appropriate reports for senior management and the board of trustees.
- Using the strategy (organisational and fundraising) the Head of Philanthropy will personally manage and support senior staff on holding income-yielding high-level relationships.
- Manage relationships and drive strategy relating to our senior stakeholders such as the Development Board, Chair of the Board and act as a key facilitator and steward of relationships between foundation staff and key programme contacts.
- Set up and implement systems to review performance against set targets and objectives and monitor funder data and oversee the effective management of our database;

Saferworld is recruiting for a Programme Development Manager (Maternity Cover) to support teams and partners to co-design and mobilise funding for peace, security and justice programmes across a portfolio of 3–4 countries (based on the candidate’s experience and preference).

- Collaborate with the Marketing team and Programme Manager to support the growth and visibility of the programme, including contributing to marketing communications and coordinating activity to maintain engagement.

This essential role will oversee the coordination, governance, and planning of the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) Development Phase. The Programme Manager will supervise the programme's daily operations, manage partner input into key workstreams (capital design, education, citizen science, inclusion), and ensure that timelines, budgets, and deliverables meet The Heritage Fund expectations. The role involves direct responsibility for preparing the Delivery Phase funding application and ensuring that the Development Phase creates a strong legacy platform for long term impact. This includes coordinating evaluation planning, risk registers, governance frameworks, and a sustainable funding strategy. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to facilitate collaboration among multiple partners across diverse catchments and disciplines.

Thames Rivers Trust (TRT) is a catchment-based environmental charity focused on enhancing river health and resilience throughout the Thames Basin. As a convening organisation, TRT collaborates with local delivery partners, statutory agencies, and funders to implement nature based solutions, support environmental data infrastructure, and improve community access to blue spaces. TRT coordinates the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP), building on a tradition of multi-partner catchment initiatives to achieve significant environmental and social benefits. The Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) is a £3 million flagship programme delivered by Thames Rivers Trust in partnership with seven NGOs and catchment groups. The Development Phase, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, runs from January 2026 to April 2027 and lays the groundwork for a three-year Delivery Phase (2028–2030) across six sub-catchments. This builds on the successful Phase 1 pilot funded through The Green Recovery Challenge Fund (2020–2022).
Project Summary: The Thames Catchment Community Eels Project (TCCEP) is a collaborative, catchment-scale initiative that supports the recovery of the critically endangered European eel by removing migration barriers, restoring river habitats, and reconnecting communities with their local water environments. The project builds on the success of a pilot phase funded through the Green Recovery Challenge Fund (2020–2022), which trained over 200 volunteers, surveyed more than 450 barriers, and helped catalyse collaborative action across the Thames Basin. During this Development Phase (2026), partners will work together to finalise the programme design for a three-year Delivery Phase (2027–2030). This includes site-level feasibility studies, co-designed community engagement, capital project planning, evaluation framework development, and a final funding application for the Delivery Phase. Alongside habitat restoration, the programme also emphasises education, equity, climate resilience, and long-term legacy, using the iconic eel as a flagship species to inspire action and foster connection.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London. The role will coordinate and run steering and advisory groups, and ‘task and finish’ groups, working with cross-sector stakeholders to enable the implementation of recent recommendations generated by research commissioned by the programme, and help with monitoring and evaluating the project and funded projects under this programme. About the role
The postholder will lead on CARE’s largest and most complex bids (particularly commercial contracts) including multi-country, multi partner submissions with budgets in excess of £20m. They will also play an important role in ensuring quality programme design reviewing and providing expert advice on bids as well as establishing, adjusting and embedding processes to ensure high quality programme design.
