As a Conference and Events Administrator, you'll support the planning and delivery of a varied programme of in-person, hybrid and online events. Working closely with colleagues, volunteers, suppliers and attendees, you'll ensure every event runs smoothly, from initial planning through to evaluation.

At the Motor Neurone Disease Association, we support people affected by motor neurone disease (MND), improve care and fund research. As our Conference and Events Administrator, you'll play an important role in helping us deliver events that inform, connect and inspire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support across in-person, hybrid and online events
  • Manage registrations, attendee communications, enquiries and event records
  • Coordinate designated meetings and events throughout the full event lifecycle
  • Act as a professional point of contact for colleagues, speakers, volunteers, suppliers and attendees
  • Support event-related financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices and record keeping
  • Maintain accurate information across event management, CRM and organisational systems
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements where required
  • Support onsite event delivery, including registration and venue coordination
  • Assist with the transportation, movement and set-up of event materials and equipment
  • Contribute to improving event processes and stakeholder experiences

About You

Essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a busy environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and databases, CRM or event management platforms
  • Commitment to creating accessible and inclusive experiences
  • Ability to support the physical delivery of events, including moving materials and equipment
  • Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings, weekends and overnight stays
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive an Association or hire vehicle when required

Desirable

  • Experience in event administration, coordination or logistics
  • Experience within a charity, membership or not-for-profit organisation
  • Experience supporting invoice or budget administration
  • Experience analysing event feedback and reporting on outcomes

Hybrid working Expectations: 1 day per week office attendance in Northampton. Occasional event attendance will also be required.

Further information about working for the MND Association and full job description is available in the attached Candidate Pack.

We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusivity. We work to remove barriers for everyone affected by MND, employees, volunteers, and stakeholders.
