We have permanent office space at House of Sport in Manchester, and office space with GMCA and NHS GM at Tootal Buildings, Oxford Road, Manchester. About the Role

As Head of Infrastructure and Security, you will lead the strategic direction, design, and delivery of the technology infrastructure and security capabilities, ensuring that IT infrastructure services are secure, resilient, and scalable and aligned with business needs. • Experience in senior IT leadership roles within infrastructure and security domains.
• A strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Proven experience of managing hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud technologies.
• Working experience of aligning IT infrastructure and security initiatives with organisational objectives.
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

Mindfulness and nature retreat centre needs a (mindful) Marketing & Comms Manager!

Salary is £38,025 pro rata for 3 or 4 days per week (22.5hrs to 30hrs pw, £22,815 - £30,420) 

We need a skilled, creative, enthusiastic marketeer, with proven digital marketing experience, to take the Trust’s marketing and communications to the next level.

We are a registered charity caring for the historic Grade I-listed Sharpham House and Estate on the banks of the River Dart near to Totnes.

At the heart of the Sharpham Trust ethos is our desire to build a more mindful, compassionate and environmentally sustainable world. We connect over 3,000 people annually with nature and foster mindfulness and well-being through our programme of retreats, mindfulness courses, public events, outdoor learning and the arts.

In recent years the Trust has greatly expanded its activities, integrating and increasing the scope of our work. Our estate now embraces various retreat centres, operating all year round, together with online offers, serving a wide range of audiences and interests. 

Our marketing and communications are founded upon a desire to build lasting authentic relationships with our participants and to expand the range and number of people we engage. 

Over the last two years we have been reviewing our marketing and communications and increased the staffing resources dedicated to this area. We have worked with an external consultant and we are currently introducing a new Customer Relationship Management System (Zoho CRM), so that we are better able to understand our users and tailor our communications to be effective. 

The Marketing and Communications Manager will line manage the Communications Officer and be supported by colleagues across the Trust who are responsible for: programming, finance, bookings, health and safety, property management, gardening and catering.

The Role:
•    Manage and deliver a successful call centre/back office operational process.

Bowel Research UK is looking for a permanent Research and Grants Manager to coordinate and evaluate the management of the charity’s research activities. This role covers all aspects of pre- and post-award research management, impact reporting, grant finance management and governance, co-ordination of the Charity’s scientific committees and shaping external scientific communications to supporters and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will foster and maintain strong relationships with researchers, serving as the primary point of contact for engaging with the research community.

Your role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and delivering significant income targets
• Personally securing five- and six-figure gifts through tailored cultivation, proposals, and stewardship
• Developing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans aligned to each supporter’s interests and motivations 
• Making complex, high-value funding asks, preparing compelling proposals and growing the Chair’s Circle and Philanthropy Board programmes
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including Trustees and the CEO
• Contributing to strategy, pipeline development, and identifying new funding opportunities
• Identifying new opportunities for restricted and unrestricted funding
• Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and internal policies
• Acting as an ambassador for Thames Valley Air Ambulance and ensuring compliance with fundraising best practice

About you

You are an experienced major donor fundraiser with a proven track record of securing five and six figure high-value gifts and managing senior relationships. You are strategic yet hands-on, with excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in major donor or high-value fundraising with strong results
• Is confident engaging and influencing high-net-worth individuals and senior stakeholders
• Can balance strategic thinking with delivery of income targets
• Communicates effectively, both written and verbally, including proposal development
• Is proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities independently
• Brings a flexible and collaborative approach to work
