Job description

Contract: 2 Years Fixed Term (extension subject to funding)

Location: Cardiff or London (currently remote)

Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for crafting digital content that sparks conversation? Are you someone who can plan, deliver and evaluate a range of communications projects?

We are looking to recruit a Digital and Creative Communications Officer with significant experience across all aspects of digital communications, with a keen eye for storytelling. 

This post requires an individual looking for a challenging new role, who is ready to take on this exciting and varied opportunity supporting a busy and ambitious team. In this role you will create, curate and disseminate digital content across a wide range of online channels including social media, website, newsletters, publications and others. You will monitor, record and evaluate the performance and reach of our content across all digital channels and work with the Communications Team to develop new and creative ideas to enhance the impact of our work in humanitarian research and innovation. You will support on digital development projects and be a digital advocate for the charity sharing best practice through workshops and training.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a digital communications role with considerable experience in implementing digital strategies and tactics that can effectively grow brand awareness, drive traffic to the website and increase stakeholder engagement, ideally within the third/charity sector.  

You will be given a high degree of autonomy in your work and it is essential that you feel confident working both independently and within a team. Being able to build successful relationships across the organisation will also be vital, along with strong communications skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
