Brief role description:
The HR Manager will provide end-to-end, operational and strategic human resources support for the charity's international workforce (excluding APAC). Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and line managers, the role will ensure that people practices are compliant, values-driven, and aligned with our strategy. The postholder will lead on talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, employment relations, policy development, total rewards, and HR vendor management, delivering a pragmatic and high-quality HR service appropriate to a small charity environment.
Main responsibilities:

2. Employee Lifecycle Management

Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through probation, development, performance management, and exit.

4. Line Manager Support & Capability Building

5. HR Policies, Compliance & Governance

Develop and Implement the annual “People Plan” in line with Sport England Guidance

MCKS Charitable Foundation works with schools to provide pantry and breakfast support to families experiencing food insecurity. We currently support over 180 schools and are now scaling our work towards 500+ schools nationally.
We’re looking for a Schools, Community & Impact Manager to help us strengthen our relationships with schools, understand how our support is being used, and capture the stories and data that allow us to grow our impact.
This is a varied, outward-facing role where you’ll work directly with schools, build trusted relationships, and ensure we are delivering support in the most effective way possible.

You’ll sit at the centre of the programme, working across schools, impact and community engagement.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service to join our Kingston & Sutton team. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment. If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. You would manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, people experiencing homelessness, and people with offending histories, offering one-to-one support to help them secure and sustain employment that matches their preferences.
You would provide person-centred guidance using the IPS approach (training is provided), helping clients build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate challenges that may arise. A key part of the role involves engaging employers, promoting the value of our service, and identifying suitable job opportunities.

This includes attending team meetings, coordinating support, and maintaining clear, client-led communication. The Role
This is a key position within the charity, responsible for producing high‑quality management information, partnering with budget holders, and driving continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
You will lead the month‑end process, oversee cashflow forecasting, support the annual budget cycle, and develop financial models to inform strategic decisions. You will also deputise for the Director of Finance and Operations when required, ensuring continuity and operational resilience.
The role includes line management of the Senior Finance Officer and the opportunity to contribute to cross‑organisational projects, including impact measurement, funding bids, and organisational change initiatives.
About You
You will be a qualified and experienced management accountant (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong track record of producing high‑quality financial analysis, business partnering, and driving improvements in financial systems.
You will bring:
· Substantial post‑qualification experience, ideally within the charity or not‑for‑profit sector
· Experience designing management accounts, dashboards and KPI reporting
· Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel capability

The Head of Programme Management is a key organisational leadership role and will be part of the CIUK Extended Leadership Team working with other heads of team and the senior leadership team to help run the organisation effectively and deliver the 4-year strategy. About you
You will have demonstrated experience working with a range of donors, including the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), with deep knowledge of how the FCDO operates, how they are structured and contract programmes, as well as their current priorities. You will also have experience delivering programmes with corporate partners, and trusts and foundations. You will have the ability to build strong relationships and have demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts with donors and influence donor positions. You will have a strong programme management and risk management background that allows you to understand and work across multiple projects and contexts, and manage risk at the portfolio level, dealing effectively with new risks and issues as they emerge.
As a leader of a large team, you will have strong people leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action, motivate colleagues and demonstrate to team members how their role links to organisational strategy and objectives. Your leadership style will be aligned with CIUK’s feminist leadership principles and values. You will need to have experience of working in donor-funded organisations, understand cost recovery models, and have experience working to deliver large-scale programming in development and/or humanitarian contexts. A good understanding of the current debates in the sector on local leadership and a commitment to the principles set out in the pledge for change are essential.
About the role
The Head of Programme Management leads a large team to oversee all of CIUK’s active humanitarian and development projects funded by UK donors. The team leads CIUK’s relationships with Country Offices and Regions and develops close partnerships to help us achieve long-term and effective programming across the humanitarian and development arena. The team also builds strong relationships with institutional donors and works with the Partnerships and Philanthropy team to deliver corporate-funded programmes. The Head of Programme Management is responsible for ensuring strong grant management and donor compliance including programme financial management. The team ensures that CARE provides and is recognised by donors for offering excellent value for money and real impact for its programme participants. The team also leads CIUK’s approach to delivering smart development and humanitarian programmes with an increasing focus on equitable partnership approaches.
The role covers four main areas of responsibility:
Representation and relationship management
Holding relationships with a set of senior stakeholders including FCDO Senior Responsible Owners, other donor counterparts, CARE Country Directors, Programme Directors and Regional Directors. Negotiating contract terms with donors and troubleshooting delivery issues with country offices. Positioning CARE’s work to external stakeholders, including personally representing CIUK in external forums and with donors.
Organisational and team leadership, strategy and planning:
Set and drive the programme management team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to PMT’s work. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.
Financial and compliance management
Provide close and effective management of multi-million pound budgets. Reforecast accurately throughout the year, identifying and working with country offices to rectify implementation issues. Manage risks and issues at portfolio level, raising high and critical risks for attention by senior leadership and board as necessary. Ensure donor compliance is followed.
Programme quality, monitoring evaluation and learning
Ensure that CIUK closely monitors project implementation, relevance of programme outputs and outcomes and ensures programmes meet relevant technical standards and up to date best practice. Programmes fulfil requirements on programme quality and adhere to do no harm standards, the Core Humanitarian Standard, and ensure that CARE’s safeguarding standards are met throughout the life of the programme. Context
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.
Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.
This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.
Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.
Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.
Each Navigator will support around 40 kinship carers over the delivery year, holding a caseload of approximately 20 families at any one time.
You will be part of a wider delivery team including the Programmes Manager, Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager, research colleagues and other Kinship teams, working together to ensure the programme is delivered ethically, consistently and to a high standard
About the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.
The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.
You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.

Mapping local services and building relationships with organisations that can provide specialist support, training or activities for kinship families.

Liaising with schools, local authorities and other professionals to coordinate support.

Supporting kinship carers with challenges relating to the child(ren) in their kinship care.

Signposting to relevant services, support organisations and Kinship training opportunities.

Coordinating celebration and family events (including in Kinship Care Week).

Supporting applications for grants for essential items or family breaks.
- Collaborate with the programme delivery team, researchers and evaluation partners, contributing insights and learning from practice to support programme improvement and evidence generation.
- Work closely with colleagues across Kinship, including Advice, Peer Support, Training, Communications and the Kinship Connected core team, to ensure joined-up support for kinship carers.
- Recognise, report, record, respond and refer safeguarding risks via our safeguarding process with the support for the safeguarding team.
- Follow and understand the organisational safeguarding policies.

Maintain accurate, timely records of all activity, assessments, support plans, contacts and outcomes on Kinship’s CRM system (Salesforce) in line with organisational policy and programme protocols.

Complete kinship carer needs assessments, SMART goal setting, reviews and outcome recording in accordance with the Kinship Navigator model and trial requirements.

Follow all operational and data collection requirements of the pilot feasibility RCT, ensuring activity and outcomes are recorded consistently to support independent evaluation.

Fully contribute to monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and learning processes, including collecting feedback and case studies that demonstrate impact.
Essential requirements include:

Experience delivering direct support to vulnerable families or carers, including completing needs assessments and developing support plans.

Experience providing structured one-to-one support, casework or family support over a defined period.

Experience working directly in community settings or alongside local authority or partner organisations.

Experience facilitating peer or support groups in community or online settings.

Experience working with statutory, voluntary and community services, including liaising with professionals around the family.

Experience recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

Understanding of the challenges facing kinship carers and the children they care for, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.

Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches when working with families.

Awareness of how children’s social care, education, health or welfare systems affect families.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with kinship carers and professionals.

Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise work effectively and maintain clear professional boundaries.

Excellent ability to maintain accurate case records and data using a CRM or case management system (e.g. Salesforce).

Strong organisational and IT skills, including the ability to use digital systems for case management, communication and reporting.

Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative delivery team.

WASH Institutional Management Specialist - National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator
Contract: 18 Months Fixed-term contract, full-time, contingent upon successfully securing project funding, target start date May 2026.
Location: The role can be based in London (United Kingdom), Accra (Ghana), Dar es Salaam / Dodoma (Tanzania), Lusaka (Zambia), or Lilongwe (Malawi), subject to right to work eligibility in the respective countries.

About the Team
The role will report into the Project Lead: National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, located in the Programme Operations Team, one of three support teams within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK.
The Programme Operations Team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.
About the Role
The WASH Institutional Management Specialist will provide hands‑on technical leadership and delivery support to WaterAid country teams and governments participating in the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, with a particular focus on institutional arrangements and governance, delegated management models and implementation readiness.
The role bridges strategy and execution, supporting countries to design practical institutional governance, service delivery and management frameworks that underpin credible, finance‑ready WASH investments.
In this role, you will:
1. Institutional diagnostics and design
- Lead or contribute to detailed institutional and governance diagnostics at national and sub‑national levels.
- Analyse roles, mandates, incentives and capacities across ministries, agencies, utilities and service providers.
- Identify binding institutional constraints affecting project delivery and sustainability.
2. Management and delivery model development
- Support governments to design fit‑for‑purpose institutional and management models for priority WASH investments.
- Define delivery units, implementation arrangements and accountability frameworks aligned to investment requirements.
3. Integration with financing and project development
- Work closely with finance and project development specialists to ensure institutional arrangements meet lender expectations.
- Contribute to the preparation of investment‑ready project documentation, including institutional sections of concept notes and appraisal documents.
4. Country‑level facilitation and coordination
- Provide embedded or close‑support accompaniment to country teams and government counterparts.
- Facilitate multi‑stakeholder workshops and consultations focused on institutional reform and delivery models.
5. Quality assurance and learning
- Contribute to quality assurance of diagnostics, project concepts and full project packages.
- Capture and document practical lessons on institutional reform and management arrangements.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Strong professional experience in WASH institutional management, governance or service delivery reform.
- Practical experience working with government systems in low‑ and middle‑income countries.
- Understanding of how institutional arrangements underpin investment viability and sustainability.
- Strong facilitation, analytical and written communication skills.
- Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience contributing to MDB‑financed or large‑scale infrastructure programmes.
- Familiarity with utility reform, delegated management or hybrid delivery models.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions
