Right now, Gaza is one of the hardest places in the world to be a child. As of July 2026, UNICEF reported that more than 21,000 children had been killed and around 44,500 injured since October 2023. Over 58,000 have lost one or both parents or primary caregivers, while around 700,000 have missed almost three years of formal education.
Established in 2024, Children Not Numbers (CNN) is a medico-legal charity committed to the health, safety, education and rehabilitation of Gaza’s children. Working alongside colleagues in Gaza and more than 100 volunteers worldwide, including surgeons, medics and lawyers, the charity provides medical care, medical evacuations, education, psychological support and international advocacy. Within its first year, CNN evacuated more than 300 children and their companions, supported over 650 children through its multidisciplinary clinical team, delivered maternal healthcare to more than 600 women, educated over 350 pupils through its primary school, provided holistic care for 71 orphans and distributed more than 1,000 food aid baskets.
Reporting to a Co-Founder and Director, the Senior Communications Manager will lead Children Not Numbers’ social media strategy and day-to-day digital communications, using ethical storytelling to grow audiences, strengthen supporter engagement and help drive fundraising. Building on the charity’s established communications strategy, the postholder will also support website content, campaigns and brand development, working closely with colleagues in Gaza, the fundraising team and external creative partners to ensure the charity’s work is communicated with accuracy, sensitivity and dignity.

Reach Charity is a small volunteer-led national charity supporting children born with, or who acquire upper limb differences (ULD) in childhood, for the whole of their lives! Being born with/acquiring an ULD in childhood is rare. Our role in the Reach team is to support our volunteers in every way we can to keep Reach families connected and supported with and by their community as and when they need it for life. Core purpose of the role:
The Operations & Development Officer will provide high-quality operational, administrative and executive support to the Operations Lead and the wider Reach team.
The role will help ensure the smooth running of Reach’s central operations, including governance support, policy coordination, safeguarding administration, donor stewardship, event delivery, communications and day-to-day organisational support.
The postholder will play an important role in maintaining operational continuity, supporting compliance, strengthening community engagement and helping Reach deliver effectively for adults, children and young people with upper limb difference and their families.
Key responsibilities
1. Governance, compliance and safeguarding
Policy and procedure coordination
Coordinate and maintain a rolling programme of policy and procedure review, liaising with the Operations Lead, trustees and relevant staff or volunteers as required.
Support the updating, formatting, circulation and storage of policies and procedures, ensuring records are accurate and accessible.
Safeguarding support
Subject to appropriate training, support Reach’s safeguarding arrangements and participate in the safeguarding on-call rota.
Provide cover during colleagues planned or unplanned absence, acting in accordance with Reach’s safeguarding policy and escalation procedures.
This may include occasional weekend on-call duties when the Operations Lead is unavailable.
DBS, safeguarding training and appointment requirements

Donor stewardship
Provide supportive cover for donor stewardship during colleague absence or holiday, including drafting thank-you communications, updating records and helping maintain positive supporter relationships.
Ensure donor communications are timely, accurate and aligned with Reach’s tone, values and messaging.
Fundraising administration
Support the Operations Lead and wider team with fundraising administration, including funding applications, milestone tracking, data collection and information required for funder reports.
Maintain accurate records of funding activity, deadlines and reporting requirements.
3. Event support and promotion
Event delivery
Support the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of Reach events.
This may include support from initial concept through to on-the-day coordination and post-event follow-up.
Where required, lead agreed elements of event delivery, with appropriate support and oversight.
Event communications and promotion
Promote events and campaigns through digital channels, newsletters, local networks and other appropriate platforms to maximise visibility, attendance, engagement and donations.

Evening and weekend work

Board and trustee support
Provide proactive support for Trustee meetings, including coordinating meeting logistics, preparing and circulating papers, supporting agenda planning and taking clear, accurate minutes.

General operations
Support the smooth running of Reach’s day-to-day operations, including responding to enquiries, maintaining records, supporting internal communications and helping ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Role Summary
The Head of People will be responsible for delivering an efficient, compliant and people-focused HR service across the Community Trust, supporting approximately 78 permanent employees and 125 casual workers.
This is a hands-on operational role with a strong focus on employee relations, HR processes and compliance, payroll coordination and finalisation, and providing practical people support to managers across the organisation.
The role will directly manage the People Advisor and the Senior Manager - Recruitment & Training Manager, ensuring the effective delivery of recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, and employee relations. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Provide effective day-to-day leadership and management of the People Advisor and Recruitment & Training Manager.
Set priorities, allocate workloads and ensure the People team delivers a high-quality, responsive service across the Trust.
Support the development and performance of direct reports through regular coaching, feedback and development planning.

Employee Relations
Lead and manage employee relations casework, providing advice and guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, probation and capability matters.

Take responsibility for payroll finalisation and sign-off, working closely with Finance and payroll providers to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Coordinate pension administration, employee benefits and life assurance arrangements.
Conduct regular audits of payroll and people data to ensure accuracy, compliance and effective record keeping.
Act as the key point of contact for payroll and benefits queries.
Safeguarding
Build a strong working relationship with the Safeguarding team, ensuring Safeguarding is continually embedded within the Trust.
Work with the Head of Safeguarding on Safeguarding and people initiatives to promote a Safeguarding culture throughout the Trust.
Responsible for Safer Recruitment practices and compliance, including internal and external audits.
