The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Clinical Guidelines Assistant to support the delivery of our Clinical Guidelines Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to work that helps improve the quality of paediatric healthcare by supporting the development, appraisal and consultation of clinical guidelines and evidence reviews.

Reporting to the Project Manager (Clinical Guidelines), you will provide essential administrative, coordination and research support across a range of clinical guideline and evidence review projects. You will work closely with clinical leads, working groups, committees and external stakeholders, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.

This role would suit someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and an interest in healthcare, research and evidence-based practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative support across the Clinical Guidelines and Evidence Reviews workstreams
• Coordinating meetings, committees and working groups, including preparing agendas, papers and taking accurate minutes
• Supporting clinical guideline and evidence review projects through research and information gathering activities
• Coordinating consultations and stakeholder engagement to support RCPCH involvement in national guideline development
• Assisting with the organisation of research activities, presentations and training events
• Maintaining accurate records, databases and audit trails using Microsoft Excel and bibliography software
• Supporting the drafting, formatting and preparation of guideline and evidence review documentation
• Assisting with website updates, social media activity and communications plans to promote the work of the programme
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with committee members, clinical leads and external stakeholders
• Developing knowledge of guideline development and systematic review methodologies through ongoing learning and training

Essential skills and experience include:

• Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
• Experience of undertaking a research project within an academic or professional setting
• Strong proofreading, report-writing and minute-taking skills
• Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment

Working as part of a supportive job‑share, you’ll help deliver a smooth, accurate monthly payroll for around 275 employees, support GP contractor payments, and ensure compliance with NHS Pension Scheme requirements. Your work will directly support our Same Day Care, TalkPlus and Head Office teams - the people delivering vital care to our communities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Undertake the following tasks in relation to the monthly payroll process with the support of the Finance Team as required.

• Update employee tax code changes as advised by HMRC.
• Update the Sage 50 payroll system for changes in respect of Same Day Care employees. This includes starters, leavers, changes in pay rates, personal details etc.
• Process extra hours claims and variations as advised by the HR team
• Update salaried staff Same Day Care RotaMaster schedules for any changes, prepare import schedule and import pay data into Sage 50 payroll.
• Review, retrieve and reconcile pay data from RotaMaster (RM) and import Same Day Care pay data into Sage 50 Payroll.
• Check and reconcile payroll data and produce associated reports
• Issue payslips to North Hampshire Urgent Care staff and monthly and annual Earnings Reports to self-employed GPs
• Process Same Day Care leavers and distribute any related documentation
• Submit North Hampshire Urgent Care staff FPS and EPS to HMRC
• Process North Hampshire Urgent Care staff Net Payments to Bank
• Reconcile and pay North Hampshire Urgent Care staff PAYE
• Reconcile Government Gateway account for North Hampshire Urgent Care staff
• Maintain Same Day Care dual role records.
• Process monthly payroll journal into Sage 50 Accounts software.

Job Share interchangeable roles

• To periodically rotate monthly payroll responsibilities with your job share partner three times per annum to enable each job share partner to understand each partner’s respective role and responsibilities, remain up to date with any developments in each partner’s responsibilities and ultimately to be interchangeable in the event of an absence of one partner.
• Update the Sage 50 payroll system for changes in respect of TalkPlus and Head Office employees. This includes starters, leavers, changes in pay rates, personal details etc.

This is a prevention-focused role, responsible for coordinating and delivering a local approach to addressing gambling harms in partnership with the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, statutory organisations and local communities.

The Gambling Harms Prevention Lead will drive the education, awareness, partnership development and lived experience elements of the programme, helping to ensure gambling harms are identified earlier, understood more widely, and addressed through coordinated preventative action.

The postholder will lead on building capability across the VCFSE sector and frontline workforce, strengthening referral pathways, reducing stigma, and embedding consistent approaches to the early identification and prevention of gambling-related harms. They will also ensure that lived experience is central to delivery, shaping how services are designed, communicated and continuously improved.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery and requires strong partnership working, programme management and influencing skills, alongside practical experience in areas such as training, facilitation, communications and evaluation.

The Gambling Harms Prevention Lead will play an important role in supporting wider public health priorities, including reducing inequalities, strengthening community-based support, and helping to shift services towards earlier intervention and prevention.

About the role
 
This role will involve supporting and empowering LGBT survivors of sexual violence to overcome the impacts of abuse and violence. It will focus on working with LGBT survivors in need of emotional and practical support.
 
You will offer a space to victim/survivors to discuss options and provide support to enable clients to make informed choices and meet their individual needs. This will include safety planning and linking victim/survivors in with support services. You will work collaboratively with other services to ensure a multi-agency approach is taken to supporting LGBT people victim/survivors of sexual violence.
 
You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understand your clients’ needs, whilst remaining boundaried and mindful or self-care. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence.
 
You will work within Galop’s Advocacy and Support team supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work with colleagues to ensure that survivors are supported in a trauma-sensitive way and that the specific needs of sexual violence survivors are supported across the team. You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services.

The Move-On Accommodation Support Officer will provide practical and emotional support, advocacy, and housing management to survivors of domestic abuse who are residents living within 11 of BCWA’s move-on accommodation properties as part of the Safer Futures Project. 

The postholder will be required to travel regularly to the 11 dispersed move-on accommodation properties, primarily in Croydon, with a smaller number in Bromley, and must be able to travel independently across both boroughs.

The role focuses on supporting residents to sustain tenancies, develop independent living skills, and access appropriate services to enable recovery and a life free from domestic abuse.

About the Role

We are looking for Programme Governance Lead to manage and oversee the successful delivery of all programmes/projects within the Programmes Directorate by establishing and leading consistent governance and assurance. The postholder will strengthen programme governance, reporting and risk management ensuring programmes are delivered by agreed methodologies and in a consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities

As our Programme Governance Lead, you will:

• Define, implement and maintain an agreed methodology for programme/project lifecycle governance.
• Chair programme/project boards and ensuring decisions, and actions are documented and actioned.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies which are not captured by Programme Portfolio Leads. Ensure consistent risk management across projects and programmes. Proactively identify cross-programme/project risks and issues (including those not visible to project/programme leads), implement mitigations, and escalate risks/issues to the Director of Programmes and COO as required. Assess programme/project risks against the NYA risk register and update the register accordingly.
• Produce and present monthly programme governance reports at the Directorate Programme Board, providing clear portfolio-level insight (milestones, deliverables, RAG status, KPIs, benefits, and financial/resource assumptions) to enable effective senior decision-making and assurance.
• Design and run governance routines (e.g., project start-up, weekly/monthly reviews, decision logs, change control) and support high-quality papers and actions for directorate governance forums; ensure timely escalation of material risks, issues and decisions to the COO.
• Support teams to evidence compliance with funder/contractual requirements; ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and version control are in place and accessible.
• Implement and maintain a robust lessons-learned process (during and post-delivery) and ensure findings are integrated into future programmes/projects through updated standards, templates, training and assurance checkpoints.

Purpose of the role:

You will help form part of a UK-wide team of remote Helpline Advisors operating the only modern slavery specific helpline in the UK. After completing our training package for new Helpline Advisors (approximately four weeks) you will begin working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team responding to a variety of callers and contacts.

You will be answering incoming calls, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data will be your day-to-day responsibilities.

You will contribute to a service that as well as providing information, advice and guidance to our service users, also helps create one of the largest non-governmental bodies of data on the scale of modern slavery in the UK which is used to influence strategy and policy at local, national and international levels.

You will provide trauma informed and person-centred information, advice, and guidance to a variety of caller types, including people in and out of exploitation, professionals, members of the public, and businesses.

Interim Tax Lead - ERP Implementation | £700 per day Umbrella Co. | Remote | 18-Months +

For a large government organisation, we're recruiting an interim Tax Manager to lead delivery of day-to-day tax operations including VAT and tax compliance during a large-scale ERP implementation programme. The interim Tax Manager will focus on maintaining high-quality business-as-usual tax delivery, while working closely with the ERP programme teams to share knowledge, provide input on system-wide tax processes, and support readiness.

Main Duties:

• Lead delivery of the day-to-day Tax operations (e.g., VAT and Tax Compliance)
• Support the Compliance and Financial Accounting Team with BAU Tax delivery
• Support the ERP implementation team activity across the Tax Management lifecycle
• Ensure continuity and accuracy of all BAU Tax activities
• Collaborate with the ERP programme teams to share expertise, input into design decisions, and suggest improvements to the Tax Management lifecycle
• Support the local design phase of the Oracle Fusion Cloud system for day-to-day Tax Management processes
• Support system integration testing for all Tax Management processes end-to-end and support real-life users of the system (UAT)
• Support the Oracle Fusion cutover phase, completing Tax Data migration, and the final transition.

Person Specification:

• CTA, CCAB or ATT qualified
• Proven experience delivering high-quality BAU tax operations with strong functional tax expertise, particularly in VAT within Government
• Experience of Government VAT rules, including Contracted Out Services
• Knowledge of taxable benefits, IR35, and provision of tax guidance / advisory support
• Good understanding of ERP systems and ideally implementation principles (although it is not essential to have led ERP delivery)
• Ability to work closely with programme teams to provide insight and input into ERP design and implementation
• Ideally experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud
