Overall job purpose
The National Office Administrator will support the organisation from our National Office. They will provide key administrative support to central teams, including:

This support will enable teams to undertake their tasks effectively, efficiently, and promote quality experience for our supporters. The post-holder will develop relationships across CCT in supporting teams, maintaining a proactive, dynamic workplan in support of central operational requirements and national initiatives.
They will be the primary point of contact for the National Office, coordinating the day-to-day running of the office and meeting spaces. The post holder will have responsibility for all office related administration and associated project work.

We are currently looking for a Policy Specialist to join Mencap. This position sits within the Policy and Public Affairs teams of Mencap’s Campaigns, Advocacy and Activism Directorate (CAA). You will work closely with our influencing, information and advice, campaigning, and research work, as well as sector partners like the Disabled Children's Partnership.
This is an exciting new role to deliver policy change and enhance the rights of children and young people with a learning disability. At a key time to influence Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education reform, we are seeking a policy specialist to shape policy work that reflects the needs and experiences of children, young people, and their families. Working within the policy team, you will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy work and influencing decision-makers.
This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week). We are flexible with your work location, but there may be some occasional travel needed to our London office or Westminster.
You will:
- Translate complex work into clear and persuasive policy briefings, consultation responses and reports.
- Work within wider coalitions of charities, building collaborative relationships and ensuring that the needs and priorities of our community are addressed.
- Develop and expand Mencap’s ‘Policy Shapers’ work, ensuring our work reflects the experiences of children and young people with a learning disability and their families.
- Support our information and advice team, briefing them on important developments, inputting into casework discussions relevant to your areas of work, and supporting the creation of public information resources.
- Represent Mencap at meetings and events, with MPs, civil servants, and sector partners.
- Identify and analyse relevant research to develop evidence-based policy recommendations.
You will bring to this role:
- Experience of working on public policy issues.
- Strong communication skills: experience tailoring your messaging to a variety of different audiences and representing an organisation.
- Experience building positive relationships and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes; able to positively challenge, negotiate and compromise.

Main Purpose of Role:
The Programme Support and Administrative Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of CFAB’s programmes and organisational functions. North Wales Community Law is a charity established in 2023 that provides free legal advice to people in North Wales. We have a small team of caseworkers and we want to grow our team to enable us to support more people. We are looking for a solicitor or experienced caseworker to provide specialist housing or family law casework and advice under the supervision of our Legal Services Director. Based in our offices in Llandudno Junction, the role will involve regular travel to community based outreach clinics in North Wales, particularly Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of relevant Welsh housing legislation and qualified solicitors with experience of legally aided civil litigation.

Duties
- To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
- To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
- To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
- To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
- To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.

Fundraising Manager
We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Fundraising Manager to join the team at Winning Scotland, helping to drive sustainable income growth at an exciting time for the charity.

The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a central role in helping Winning Scotland deliver sustainable growth by identifying and securing new income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory and government funding, and public sector contracts.
Working closely with programme leads and the senior leadership team, you’ll research, prioritise, and secure funding opportunities to support the charity’s ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years. You’ll also develop strong relationships with funders, write compelling funding applications, and provide excellent stewardship and reporting.
You’ll focus on growing income from institutional and corporate sources, while senior leaders continue to manage high-value individual donor relationships, allowing you to concentrate on developing strong pipelines and managing effective bids.
About You

Role purpose
The Client Support Worker (Crisis Navigator) will work with clients to provide non-judgemental, person-centred support. The work undertaken will be led by the different needs of each client, but will include: liaising with statutory services and advocating for clients’ needs to be met, for example with housing teams, social care, mental health services, etc.; support with form filling; support with grants, welfare benefits and income maximisation; emergency applications; supporting with emotional needs and psychoeducation.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of individuals, taking referrals from their legal colleagues. This will involve a combination of immediate intervention (for example, access to a medication prescription upon release from custody), and longer-term work, planned in partnership with clients. Preventative work will be actively encouraged, supporting clients to address needs before crisis point wherever possible – both through direct work and through referrals and signposting.
Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage, onboard and support a caseload of individuals autonomously
- Maintain an up to date understanding of what needs clients might have (e.g. with welfare benefits, support from statutory services, housing)
- Liaise with core agencies (social services, mental health teams, GPs, VCSE organisations)
- Provide advice and information relating to all welfare benefits, including assisting clients with form filling and contacting relevant agencies on the individuals’ behalf

We are seeking to recruit an advocate for adults and young people (17+) with learning disabilities, who will:

A full induction and training will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to hold the national qualification in independent advocacy, however this can be undertaken once in post.
