Job description

Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Senior Legacy Officer role. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to help grow the legacy programme, focussing on acquisition activity for legacy and in mem, legacy stewardship and internal legacy engagement. Legacy forms a vital part of the charity’s overall income and is a key strategic aim for the charity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase legacy and giving, expanding the organisation’s supporter base.
  • Manage stewardship activities, including internal engagement and donor communications, to nurture long-term relationships.
  • Support innovative campaign initiatives, including events, digital outreach, and media projects such as podcasts and radio.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with high-level donors and stakeholders, facilitating sensitive conversations with emotional intelligence.
  • Work on the development of supporter journeys and stewardship plans, ensuring high levels of engagement and loyalty.
  • Collaborate across teams to maximise income opportunities and programme activities that align with organisational goals.
  • Analyse data to improve reach and optimise campaign effectiveness, supporting growth targets.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in legacy fundraising or individual giving/direct marketing with the desire to develop your career in legacies. This role would suit an officer or exec looking to step into a senior officer role.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to engage supporters at various levels and handle sensitive conversations.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to develop and deliver campaigns and supporter journeys effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability to working with diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results on the ground.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in planning events or media outreach.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £29,000 – £34,000

1 day a month in the office
