Your role
Supervise the delivery of Eikon’s volunteer mentoring services to children and young people in allocated schools across Surrey. Supervise a team of Volunteer Mentors ensuring parity of our offer in Schools to Children and Young People. Ensuring the highest standards of case work, effective practice and safeguarding are maintained. Providing regular review and assessment of caseloads, with guidance on how to progress provided to the team of Volunteer Mentors.
Responsibilities
· Plan, resource and oversee the delivery of the volunteer mentoring programme, to ensure that the service is offered to young people at the right time and that young people are at the heart of the programme.
· Develop and maintain key relationships within schools in Surrey to deliver the volunteer mentoring programme.
· To identify trends and gaps in provision, then work with Service Delivery Manager on ways to improve our Volunteer Mentoring service
· Supervise a team of volunteer mentors in line with Eikon's policies
· Induct, train and develop volunteer mentors, ensuring a high-quality service with safe and effective practice is delivered in accordance with all other best practice guidelines
· Work in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Manager and Service Delivery Manager to ensure all volunteers are competent to supervise safeguarding issues
· Support volunteer mentors with all safeguarding issues and liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Manager and Service Delivery Manager where appropriate.
· Understand and act when safeguarding issues need to be escalated, always following safeguarding and child protection procedures
· Support volunteer mentors to ensure accurate recording of all individual engagements, ensuring supervisory review of notes, follow up action where appropriate and feedback provided as necessary
· Support volunteer mentors in ensuring outcomes and impact are agreed, reviewed and recorded for mentees using the Eikon Impact Measurement tool
· Ensure case management is undertaken to a high quality, including ensuring systematic case note review processes are followed, providing evidence of change and celebrating progress with CYP
· Ensure all data and information is uploaded onto all relevant databases
· Provide accurate and timely mentoring programme data reports, for internal management
· Keep up to date with good practice, legislation and policies that have an impact on service delivery at Eikon
· Always apply safeguarding and child protection procedures
· Work as part of a team and attend team meetings, training events and participate fully in 1:1 sessions and clinical supervision if required
· Work co-operatively and under the management of The Eikon Charity staff
· Work within Eikon’s internal policies, safeguarding and data protection regulations
· Be responsible for equipment/resources linked to service delivery

At Ada National College for Digital Skills, our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of diverse digital talent. We are a specialist Further Education college, where every 16-19 student takes Computer Science and all of our diverse Higher Level and Degree Apprentices work in skills shortage disciplines in innovative, blue-chip companies.
The digital skills gap is costing the UK economy an estimated £63 billion a year in lost GDP. Ada seeks to fill this skills gap by equipping young with the skills industry actually needs.
Ada was announced by the Prime Minister in December 2014; England’s first new FE College since 1993 and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength including a Good with Outstanding features in our first Ofsted Inspection.
16-19 Provision:
As of 2024, we have 187 16-19 students enrolled. Our most recent results are outstanding; 39% of A level results at A*- B and 74% achieving at least one Distinction or better in their externally assessed Computing BTEC. This makes us the best education institution in the country for this BTEC.
Degree Apprenticeships:
Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. We specialise in five disciplines at present: software development, data analytics, tech consultancy, cyber security and business analysis, working with a wide range of SMEs and corporate organisations such as PwC, Bank of America, Deloitte, Clearscore, Just Eat, Capita, MHRA, Booking,com and Salesforce.
At present 38% of our learners are female, 51% are from ethnic minority backgrounds and 50% come from low income households compared to national averages of c. 20%. We’re passionate about building a supportive, values driven environment for both our students and staff.
Key Aspects of the role & main duties and responsibilities:
- Promote Ada at outreach events (careers fairs, assemblies, workshops) across Greater Manchester with the aim of meeting our application, offer holder and enrolment targets.
- Engage and network with school contacts to ensure growth of Ada’s active contacts in outreach database.
- Manage and maintain of the school database to support outreach communications.
- Assist with event planning, administration and delivery including Outreach events, Careers Fairs, Open Days, School visits to Ada and Keep Warm events - This may involve commitment on some weekends and will require evenings and earlier starts.
- Ensure we are on track to meet our targets for the volume of applications, offers and ultimately enrolments for our new Manchester Sixth Form and ensure we meet our diversity targets.
- Support the administration of the Sixth Form application process including dealing with enquiries to the inbox and on the phone in a timely manner.
- Sending application communications including invitations for assessment, offers and enrollment paperwork, data entry and keeping accurate records of all applicants and their information within the customer relationship management tools (Salesforce, Civica and others).
- Accurate record keeping and data entry into Ada’s systems to produce insightful reports to drive recruitment and inform the leadership team.
- Administration and processing of students enrolments on GCSE results days and afterwards.
- Support with creation of Marketing materials for outreach campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by Preston Minster, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
- You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members
- Supporting the Centre Manager in ensuring Spear is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services
Centre operations
- Support the wider Spear team and senior leadership team in developing the financial sustainability of Spear Preston e.g. gathering data for funding applications, organising community fundraising events
- Work with relevant members of the ministry team, particularly youth and student ministries to further embed Spear into the life of the church

We are recruiting for a Head of Education and Content - an experienced project manager and resource designer who will oversee the development of education materials and teacher training content at The Politics Project.
ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT
We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working with schools, sixth forms and further education colleges, the Head of Education and Content will support them to prepare for the lowering of the voting age to 16 and to engage their students in elections and democratic education.
The post holder will design and adapt resources, practitioner training, events and activities as well as manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the further education and civil society sectors.
Working with the Director and the Head of Programmes, the post holder will:

Collate, source and design learning resources for school and college teachers to use to support their students to engage in elections and democracy.

Support, build and manage relationships with schools and colleges.

Provide teachers and practitioners with training and e-learning around election and democratic education.

Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required.
The job is based on a 16-month contract, with likely extension (including a 6-month probation period).
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.

You will have a passion for democratic engagement and experience of delivering democratic education. You will also have experience of the UK education sector and supporting teachers or practitioners.

You will effectively deliver against set targets to agreed deadlines.
You will have experience of developing learning materials and training resources for schools and colleges and will have a clear eye for detail.
Above all, you will understand the needs of schools, sixth forms and further education colleges and the pressures they work under and be able to build relationships with teachers and support staff. You can network, negotiate, persuade, problem solve and be flexible to meet teacher and practitioner needs. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
In accordance with our Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, this position requires an enhanced DBS check that we will provide.
Other essential skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of, and an interest in, UK politics.
- Understanding of the wider UK education system.
- IT literate. In particular, you can use Google office software.

The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) is integral to LSE’s capacity to realise our strategic direction through engaging with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, organisations, and the wider community to increase philanthropic income for agreed School priorities.
The Proposition Development Executive will support the development of fundraising projects to maximise philanthropic support for key areas of the School’s work. This includes developing propositions, creating and maintaining repositories of information on fundraising projects, and supporting activities that help colleagues from the Division of Philanthropy and Global Engagement, and the wider School, to communicate philanthropic investment opportunities to external and internal audiences.

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries.
