We are looking for a qualified/unqualified IDVA (training may be provided for the right candidate) to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse, managing a caseload and understanding the principles of safeguarding children and adults. The post holder will have a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and how this can affect victims.

The Role:

Our Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA) provide a high quality frontline domestic abuse support service to those at high risk of harm. As an IDVA, you will support victims of domestic abuse to assess level of risk, inform victims of their options and develop tailored safety plans to protect the victim and their children. You will work within a multi-agency framework to advocate for the victim, including responding and reporting to Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) on behalf of the victim.

The role also supports the empowerment of victims/survivors, assisting them to recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse present in their own situation through one to one support and group work, to help them regain control of their lives. 

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to relaunch and build the next phase of the UK Democracy Network: a national network that helps organisations working to strengthen democracy across the UK connect, collaborate and coordinate more effectively.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a growing national network. The Network already has strong foundations, sector backing, and three years of core funding secured. The next step is building it into an independent, trusted and influential organisation that helps the democracy sector work together more effectively.

About the Network

The Democracy Network exists to help make collaboration across the democracy sector more effective. It connects organisations, practitioners and professionals across the UK democracy ecosystem, helping to reduce duplication, strengthen relationships, share intelligence, and enable more coordinated collective action.

About the host organisations

The Network is jointly incubated by two organisations with deep roots in UK civic tech, democratic education, and sector-wide network building:

The Politics Project supports young people to use their voice by giving them access to brilliant democratic education. They work with young people, teachers, youth practitioners and politicians to help them learn about, teach and actively participate in democracy. The Politics Project also leads the Democracy Classroom Network, a sister network of over 100 organisations across the democracy, education and youth sectors which support over 3,500 teachers and youth practitioners to engage young people in democracy.

Democracy Club produces the most comprehensive election data in the UK. Established in 2010 and registered as a Community Interest Company in 2015, it runs the national polling station finder Where Do I Vote and candidate lookup service Who Can I Vote For, serving election information to millions of UK voters each year and supplying data to the Electoral Commission. Democracy Club brings a mailing list of 35,000, an active community of 1,200 volunteer contributors collaborating on election information, and strong digital and data expertise to the Network.

Our vision for the Network

Over the last year, we have carried out extensive consultation with members of the UK Democracy Network, the Network’s Steering Group and funders. Through this process, we have developed a new vision for the Network that is designed to reflect and support the diversity of the democracy sector, and the wide range of approaches, perspectives and organisations within it.

Our model is built around a series of smaller thematic, geographic and demographic-based “hubs” within the wider Network. These hubs will create spaces for organisations and individuals working on particular issues, in particular places, or with specific communities to collaborate more effectively, while remaining connected to the wider democracy ecosystem.

Alongside this, the Network will support stronger coordination and information sharing across the sector through activities such as a monthly bulletin, shared events, an annual conference and practical tools and databases that help partners collaborate more effectively.

Importantly, we want to build on and strengthen the excellent work that already exists across the democracy landscape, rather than duplicate it. Over time, we also hope the Network can help incubate and support new hubs and collaborations around emerging issues and opportunities within the democracy sector.

About the role

The Network will be delivered by a small core team: a Network Director (this role), a Network Manager (in post), and a Network Coordinator (to be recruited).

Our medium-term ambition is for the Network to become an independent organisation in its own right. We see this role as central to shaping that transition, with the successful candidate expected to lead the Network into its next phase as an independent organisation over the course of the grant period. 

Key responsibilities

The Network Director provides overall leadership of the Network and is responsible for its long-term sustainability and strategic direction. 

Specifically: 

• Strategic leadership. Set strategic direction for the Network in consultation with members, hosts and the Steering Group / Board.

• Represent the Network. In networking and fundraising events, high-level roundtables and in high-profile relationships with government, funders, media and sector leaders.

• Lead on fundraising. Develop relationships with major funders, alongside Harriet Andrews at The Politics Project, building a diversified, sustainable funding base.

• Oversee the Network's transition to an independent legal structure. Support the establishment of the Board, working with Harriet Andrews and Sym Roe to recruit members with a mix of professional expertise and elected network representatives.

• Build an inclusive, supportive team culture. Line manage the Network Manager and Network Coordinator.

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation. Lead reporting to funders, and support the annual review process with the team and Steering Group / Board.

Person specification

We are looking for a values-driven, experienced, strategic leader. They will have strong people and financial management skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the democracy sector. They will be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading through complexity and change, and motivated by a commitment to strengthening UK democracy. 

The postholder will be expected to work in-office two days a week and attend regular in-person engagements in London.

Main Purpose of Role:

· Devise and implement a mixed programme of community fundraising activities, to generate a sustainable source of unrestricted income to meet agreed targets.

PANS and PANDAS are complex neuro-psychiatric conditions which are frequently 

misunderstood and misdiagnosed. PANS PANDAS UK are the only charity in the UK 

working to improve outcomes and ensure brighter futures for people affected by PANS and PANDAS. 

We provide support and information to families, and work tirelessly to inform medical 

practice, raise awareness, engage with medical, social work and educational 

professionals, and much more.

OVERALL PURPOSE 

The Education Training Development Manager will lead the operational development, and delivery of the national education training programme, ensuring it aligns with organisational priorities and emerging national guidance. The role is responsible for the coordination, growth and quality assurance of PANS PANDAS UK’s national CPD training offer for teachers and educational psychologists (EPs), supporting the development and delivery of high‑quality training modules and strengthening partnerships.

The role reports to and works in close collaboration with the PANS PANDAS UK Education Lead, who retains overall ownership, strategic responsibility and final decision‑making authority for the training programme and the wider education strategy.

Central to this role is working collaboratively with the PANS and PANDAS community and the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure all training is informed by lived experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Content Development

• Jointly review, update and refine existing CPD materials with the Education Lead, informed by national guidance and emerging research, with the Education Lead holding overall responsibility
• Support development of new training modules and associated materials.
• Explore future delivery models to expand national reach and scalability.
• Identify opportunities for integration of PANS or PANDAS training/materials within University/Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and other relevant programmes.
• Work collaboratively with the PANS PANDAS community and Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure training reflects lived experience.

Trainer Recruitment & Capacity Building

• Recruit and induct additional trainers.
• Support trainer development.
• Maintain consistent quality standards.
• Deliver priority or pilot training sessions when needed to help support programme growth and maintain delivery capacity.

Strategic Programme Oversight

• Provide leadership and direction for the development and delivery of the national education training programme within the strategic framework set by the Education Lead.
• Ensure training content and delivery models align with organisational priorities and upcoming national guidance.
• Lead long-term programme planning, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Partnership Development & Sector Engagement

• Build relationships with MATs, LAs, Universities and other national relevant organisations.
• Work with the charity Communications and Engagement Officer to promote the training models across social media and education networks.
• Attend and present at education sector events and networks to raise awareness of training opportunities.

Commissioning & Income Support

• Develop commissioning packages tailored to MATs, LA’s and other relevant organisations.
• Support pricing structures.
• Identify sustainable income opportunities for the charity via the training.

Quality Assurance & Evaluation

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Prepare reports for the charity as required.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate scheduling, setup and delivery logistics for all training sessions.
• Manage bookings, confirmations, resource distribution, attendance recording and data collection

Job Role: Property Inspector

Salary: £30,230 per year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Traveling to all properties that Julian House manage. Ranging from Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Minehead, Basingstoke, Salisbury and other places in the south west.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:

 You will lead on the development and preparation of compelling and high-quality responses to grant applications, bid writing, commissioning and tenders.  Support the Director of Income Generation and Communications and wider Executive Leadership Team with responses to complex tenders and funding applications. 

Complete all tender Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Invitations to Tender and relevant administration in an accurate and timely manner.

Undertake the reporting and monitoring of all grants and commissioned services, in line with contracts and Service Level Agreements and working with the Data Analyst ensuring funding requirements, reporting and compliance are met.  Undertake Quality Assurance activities on all aspects of reporting and monitoring prior to submission.

Manage (and delegate where appropriate) and quality assure all subject access requests, complaints and data queries in line with Data Protection and GDPR legislation, working with, and supported by the Director of Income Generation and Communications and/or DPO on complex cases.

Prepare written materials including press-releases and annual reports which aid in conveying core activities and promote organisational activities in line with our values.

As Employment Service Manager, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team of Employment Specialists delivering high‑quality, recovery‑focused employment support across East Kent. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead to provide advanced clinical leadership across our residential and remote gambling harms treatment services.

This senior role is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based delivery of structured treatment for individuals experiencing gambling-related harms and associated mental health difficulties. Working closely with the Head of Therapy, you will lead clinical practice, governance, workforce development, and service quality across multidisciplinary teams.

The role operates within services delivered independently by Gordon Moody and is aligned to national gambling harms policy frameworks and the ambitions outlined within the NHS Long Term Plan.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Practice:

• Provide specialist clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of gambling-related harms and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Lead on complex case formulation and support high-risk or multi-factorial presentations.
• Deliver and oversee evidence-based interventions, including CBT and integrative therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain oversight of safeguarding, suicidality, crisis escalation, and risk management processes.
• Ensure continuity of care across residential, remote, and external service pathways.

Leadership & Service Management:

• Provide clinical and operational leadership across treatment services.
• Line manage Gambling Therapists, supporting supervision, performance, wellbeing, and professional development.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning, and retention initiatives.
• Contribute to service transformation and development projects.
• Deputise for the Head of Therapy when required.

Clinical Governance & Quality:

• Lead clinical governance activity, including audits, peer review, quality improvement, and supervision frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, regulatory standards, and internal governance policies.
• Monitor service outcomes, quality indicators, and performance metrics.
• Analyse audit findings and implement corrective actions and service improvements.
• Support preparation for inspections and commissioner reviews.

Strategic & Partnership Working:

• Ensure services align with national gambling harms treatment frameworks.
• Support integration with wider mental health services and referral pathways.
• Represent Gordon Moody within clinical networks and partnership meetings.
• Contribute to strategic planning and future service development.

Training & Workforce Development:

• Provide expert clinical supervision and reflective practice leadership.
• Promote trauma-informed and recovery-focused approaches across services.
• Support CPD and competency development across the clinical workforce.
• Contribute to training programmes and organisational learning initiatives.

About You

Essential Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or a recognised Mental Health qualification (e.g. Mental Health Nursing, Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent).
• Current accreditation with HCPC or BABCP.
• Evidence of advanced continuing professional development.
• Recognised clinical supervision qualification.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Additional qualification in an NHS-recognised therapeutic modality such as EMDR, CAT, DIT, IPT, DBT, MBCT, or ACT.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Significant post-qualification experience within addiction and/or mental health services.
• Experience working with complex and high-risk clinical presentations.
• Experience supervising qualified clinicians and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of gambling disorder and behavioural addiction models.
• Advanced CBT formulation and intervention skills.
• Excellent safeguarding and risk assessment capability.

The Role

Inscape house school is recruiting for a tutor to to deliver Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) and teach animal care, welfare, and related work experience skills to students within our secondary provision. The Animal Assisted Intervention Tutor will design and deliver accessible, meaningful and aspirational animal-care and AAI-based learning opportunities, including accredited qualifications such as BTEC and/or ASDAN in Animal Care (or similar).

Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. It is part of the Together Trust, a charity that has been providing care, education and support in the Northwest of England since 1870. The post holder will be a member of Inscape House School on the Cheadle campus.

Responsibilities Include but are not exhaustive;

Teaching

• Work flexibly and adapt teaching strategies to ensure animal care and AAI content is accessible, inclusive, and responsive to individual learner needs.
• Embed Tier 1 universal support strategies within practical animal-care and AAI sessions to meet the diverse needs of learners with autism.
• Deliver accredited qualifications, including BTEC and/or ASDAN programmes in Animal Care (or similar), and support learners to build evidence for assessment portfolios.

Management of Staff

• Effectively deploy Education Assistants (EAs) to facilitate learning, ensuring that all support positively impacts on the development of every pupil’s independence.
• Work with colleagues to support students to plan, carry out and reflect on animal care routines and structured AAI activities.

Curriculum Knowledge 

• Have a secure knowledge of animal care, animal welfare and husbandry practice, and associated curricula (e.g. BTEC/ASDAN Animal Care or similar).

• Be able to foster and maintain pupils’ interest in your preferred key stage and subject, and address misunderstandings.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of functional literacy, articulacy, and the correct use of Standard English and Numeracy within the context of animal care (e.g. care plans, observations/record sheets, measuring feed, timetables and routines).

 Accurate and productive use of assessment

• Know and understand how to assess pupil progress, including appropriate statutory assessment requirements.
• Make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’ progress.
• Use progress data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.

Professional Communication   

• Attend and contribute to pupils’ review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings. 
• Work with pupils, families and the multi-disciplinary teams to identify pupil centred goals.
• Demonstrate skill in communicating with pupils with autism and a range of physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties.  

Training

• Comply with the school’s mandatory training requirements.
• Attend conferences and meetings including professional shows as required.  
• Attend external and internal training courses as agreed for continual professional development and meeting appraisal objectives.  
• Read current literature on autism and special educational needs and to disseminate information to the rest of the staff team. 

About You

• Experience in animal care/animal welfare (e.g. kennels, stables, farms, rescue, shelters, zoos, veterinary environments, or education-based animal provision)
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd) QTS/QTLS
• Vocational Qualifications: 
• A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Animal Care, Animal Management, Animal Science, Equine Management, or a related subject (or equivalent substantial industry experience).
• Evidence of relevant training such as animal welfare, safe handling/restraint, infection control, risk assessment, and/or Animal Assisted Intervention practice.
• Experience of successful work with pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
• Ability to identify, clarify, prioritise and solve problems as they arise.
• The ability to use information technology to communicate with others, track academic progress and share planning and resources.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Knowledge and understanding of strategies for inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety expectations affecting children and adults across the school
