As Associate Director of Data and Digital Transformation, you will shape a vision for Digital, Data and Technology as strategic enablers of impact. You’ll work with teams across the charity to shape sustainable services with and for young people with cancer, increase our audience reach, drive sustainable income generation, and demonstrate our impact. This is a hands-on, delivery‑focused leadership role for someone who can build practical solutions, develop teams, and embed a service‑oriented, user‑centred approach across the charity. You will shape the future of DDaT, oversee a largely outsourced technology function, uplift data maturity, and ensure digital and technology services enable our mission.  This role will play a key part on the Senior Leadership Team, working collaboratively with colleagues across Services, Engagement, and Central Support teams.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and influential product minded leader to help Teenage Cancer Trust repurpose digital and data toward service impact. This is not a traditional DDaT director role. You’ll work across teams to shape our services, shine a light on the value of data, build collective confidence, and connect technology potential to measurable outcomes. You don’t need to have held a formal leadership title—but you must operate as a leader, bring energy, maturity of thought, and the ability to design, prioritise, and deliver.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong leadership background across digital, data or technology, ideally within a small, innovative organisation. This does not have to be at a senior level but evidenced in your application by mentoring/influencing and bringing people together.
• Credible technical knowledge and up to date understanding of developments in technology.
• Deep experience of working effectively with other professions and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience of service design in a charity, public sector or service delivery organisation.
• Demonstrable experience of developing DDaT teams, and of developing digital and data capabilities across an organisation, ideally in a charity or public-service context.
• A track record of improving data maturity and operational use of data and insight.

Our partner, a well-established international organisation, is seeking an experienced senior finance leader to provide strategic support during a period of organisational transition.

This is a high-impact interim role, working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team and Board to ensure that planned changes to the organisation’s operating model are financially robust, evidence-based and deliverable.

The organisation is evolving its structure and ways of working in response to changes in the external funding environment and a desire to strengthen delivery across its global network. This role will play a key part in ensuring that financial planning, modelling and controls support this transition effectively.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a robust, evidence-based financial view of current and future operating approaches, including multi-year modelling, key assumptions and scenario analysis
• Translate organisational priorities into a clear and sustainable financial framework, ensuring affordability, resilience and alignment with available resources
• Support the organisation through a period of transition by strengthening financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide oversight of financial governance, ensuring appropriate controls, risk management and decision-making frameworks remain effective throughout
• Work closely with senior leadership to integrate financial insight into strategic planning and organisational decision-making
• Deliver clear, credible financial narratives and analysis to support Board-level discussions and build confidence among key stakeholders

Required Experience

• Significant senior finance experience (CFO or equivalent), with a strong technical foundation and the ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and detailed levels
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case development, including building and interrogating complex, multi-year financial models
• Experience supporting organisations through periods of change or transformation, ensuring financial plans are robust, affordable and deliverable
• Strong track record of working closely with senior leadership and Boards, providing clear, credible financial insight and building confidence in decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to bring a calm, structured and pragmatic approach in complex or sensitive environments, balancing pace with control and attention to detail

Working Arrangements

BACKGROUND

Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is on a journey of growing churches at the heart of every community. Through this we are seeing growth in many exciting ways. Financially we are at a challenging point. We have had an operational deficit for a number of years and this cannot continue. The National Church has agreed to partner with us around this through their Diocesan Investment Programme enabling us to have the time, and resource, to tackle this head on. One key aspect of this is for us to increase our Common Fund returns (the giving from our parishes that supports the costs of our life together). We are taking a radical new approach to our finances which includes intentional reallocation of income to support the costs in our most economically deprived parishes and deeper relationships with each parish around finance through conversation rather than correspondence. Over the next five years we are hoping to be able to move to a financially sustainable platform which will enable us to better serve our communities in the future.

We have recently recruited a new Head of Generosity, who is also Bishops Advisor for Common Fund, to lead on this work and we are now looking to recruit the team to work with them. The focus of the team is to develop long term relationships with all of our parishes leading to:

• Greater support for our parishes.
• Increased generosity by, and within, our parishes.
• Increased Common Fund.

The current plan is to recruit two Giving & Generosity Advisor roles and one Giving & Generosity Support Officer role. Together this team will work with all of our parishes to roll out our financial approach, through in person meetings, and the support that is on offer as part of this. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary focus of this role is to work with parishes to:

• Understand their current financial situation and how this links to the wider Church of England Birmingham situation.
• Understand our model and how support is on offer for parishes who are economically deprived.
• Assess with them the support needed to increase generosity and giving at a local level and create an action plan around this that is bespoke and contextual.
• Create a long-term plan for their participation in the common fund.

We have 146 parishes and the Head of Generosity will manage the team so that all parishes can be engaged as quickly as possible. It is the Head of Generosity and two Giving & Generosity Advisors who will be carrying out the in-person meetings with each parish. These roles will work closely with a range of people and teams across Church of England Birmingham so that this work is integrated within our wider strategy and parishes are not confused by multiple disjointed initiatives. This will mean working with Archdeacons and Area Deans, Mission Support Team, Ministry Team, Property Team, Finance Team, Community Regeneration Team and Communications Team as well as others.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop strong relationships with parishes that will enable this project to flourish and also help increase the connection between parishes and the DBF. Signposting to other teams and projects will be important.
• Inspiring and encouraging parishes in their Christian approach to giving and generosity
• Creating bespoke multiyear plans for Common Fund with parishes with the support of a Steering Group that includes the Archdeacons and other key stakeholders.
• Provide consultancy, resources, and hands-on support to parishes to grow regular giving, legacies, and other forms of financial support. This work will be able to draw on the resources developed by the national church as well as the data held on their Cornerstone Grants Platform. The post-holder will be expected to engage in the work of the National Giving Team as part of the development of these wider resources.
• Develop and deliver training for clergy, lay leaders and PCCs on the theology and Christian practice of giving and generosity and also practical financial management (in conjunction with the Finance Team).
• Work closely with the Finance Team in matters of technical accounting, governance and financial management identified as needed by parishes.
• Encourage and assist parishes in the implementation of the Parish Giving Scheme, introduction of contactless giving mechanisms and related diocesan resources.
• Source, develop and curate practical resources (digital and print) to support local stewardship campaigns and initiatives.

• Evaluate the impact of stewardship and generosity initiatives and adapt strategies accordingly to achieve the project outcomes.
• Working with our Communications Team, create compelling communication tools that articulate the impact of generosity.

As we are looking to recruit two people into these roles there is flexibility to appoint people with complementary skill sets who may have greater expertise in certain elements of the role.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The post-holder will be employed by the Diocesan Board of Finance for a fixed term ending on 2nd November 2030, subject to funding.

Salary and Pension: Salary of £35,000 plus membership of the Church Worker’s Pension Scheme with 12% employer contribution. We are open to discussion especially if you are ordained and are moving out of parish ministry. 

Hours: Full-time 35 hours (5 days) per week. Weekend and evening work will be required, for which the equivalent time may be taken back from standard working hours. We are happy to consider requests for flexible working and candidates seeking part-time hours. Holidays: 5 weeks per year plus Bank Holidays and 3 Discretionary Days between Christmas and New Year

We are recruiting for a Duty Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse.

The central duty team (3 duty workers) will work closely with Refuge’s 6 floating support workers and floating support manager, and each service in the partnership has dedicated management to provide support and oversight for staff, and lead on safeguarding and project management.

We are looking for somone who has proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. The post-holder will also have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries, and be a proactive team player.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

About the work

In this exciting and challenging new role, you will be working with colleagues, local partners, communities and businesses to develop and implement the Fundraising strategy for Age UK Milton Keynes.  You will source and manage income from a variety of funding streams, including trusts and foundations, corporates and community fundraising, including legacies.  We are looking for an experienced, creative and ambitious fundraiser.

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive to join the Individual Giving team at Prostate Cancer UK. We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including digital, telephone and direct mail, helping fund research that will save and improve lives. 

In this role you’ll help drive forward our ambitious five-year fundraising strategy as we continue to grow income year on year to have the biggest impact for men. You will lead on our value exchange programme, working closely with the digital team and our telephone partner to continually optimise results. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across a multi-channel campaign. You will also work on wider telephone conversion campaigns and direct mail as well as other test channels with the aim of recruiting new regular and cash supporters as well as re-engaging those who have lapsed. You’ll also help develop and test welcome journeys to engage supporters with our work and make them feel valued. You’ll look for ways to test and innovate to drive the best results. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights. 

What we want from you 

Experience or knowledge of managing direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels, ideally digital, telephone or direct mail, and preferably gained from a fundraising environment.

You’ll possess first class communication and project management skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be a self-starter, with a curious nature and a keen eye for detail.Knowledge of data protection and sector compliance would also be beneficial.

Overall job purpose

Natur am Byth! is Wales' flagship species recovery programme. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government, Welsh Government’s Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme, Arts Council Wales and Esmee Fairbairn, Natur am Byth unites nine environmental charities to deliver the country’s largest natural heritage and outreach programme to save species from extinction and reconnect people to nature.

The High Brown Fritillary is the UK’s most threatened butterfly species, with a single colony remaining in Wales, where it is restricted to Old Castle Down and Cwm Alun in the Vale of Glamorgan. As such, the species is highly vulnerable to extinction and is a priority for targeted action through Natur am Byth! as one of a small number of single species focal projects. This post focuses on delivering surveys, monitoring and habitat improvements for High Brown Fritillary in the Alun Valley alongside wider species actions contributing to Natur am Byth! in South Wales. 
 
Job Purpose 

•  Deliver agreed conservation outcomes for the High Brown Fritillary single species project within Natur am Byth! in the Vale of Glamorgan. Lead on the delivery of survey and monitoring work, habitat management, volunteer coordination and liaison with graziers, landowners, farmers, partners and contractors to achieve the necessary habitat management outcomes. 
• Work closely alongside the High Brown Fritillary Project Officer focused on the community engagement outcomes of Natur am Byth!, which complement the conservation outcomes. With volunteering and community engagement a critical part of delivering species recovery and ensuring its legacy, close communication and collaboration is essential to deliver this role effectively. 
•  Deliver targeted habitat management activities and conservation advice, survey and monitoring for wider species outcomes within South Wales. 

 
Main Responsibilities

• Lead conservation action targeting High Brown Fritillary within the Alun Valley through liaison with internal and external partners and stakeholders (including private landowners, commoners, land managers, and NRW). 
• Coordinate and manage site-wide habitat monitoring and assessment for High Brown Fritillary to ensure management activities are delivering successfully. 
• Deliver site advisory visits providing specific ecological advice on habitat management for butterflies and moths to benefit threatened species as part of wider site management objectives.
• Manage targeted habitat improvements for High Brown Fritillary and Adder in the Alun Valley through supervision of habitat management contracts and coordination and delivery of volunteer work parties. 
• Organise and deliver a series of conservation workshops to share and promote good practice in grazing and habitat management techniques for threatened species. 
• Lead and collate GIS mapping of species, habitat and project activities to support project reporting, activity planning and ongoing monitoring. 
• Maintain good working relationships with key landowners & commoners,  securing all relevant permissions to undertake appropriate land management where required and engage them in Natur am Byth! events and outcomes.
• Review Natur am Byth! project objectives and schedule and revise actions to maximise impact for species and key stakeholders for an effective project legacy. 
• Manage the conservation elements of the project budget alongside your line manager, and maintain administrative systems to ensure effective delivery and evaluation of the project.
• Ensure effective health and safety procedures are in place for all participants, including staff, public, volunteers, project partners and other BC staff. 
• Promote and publicise the work of the project through events, presentations, print and social media. 
• Contribute to conservation delivery for species within Natur am Byth! and Butterfly Conservation’s wider work within South Wales in agreement with your line manager.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement Operation Smile UK’s major donor strategy alongside the Director of Partnerships
