Schools’ Project Officer
The Mark Evison Foundation aims to promote the personal development of young people through challenge. We work directly with London partner state schools, encouraging non-academic proposals for challenge from 17-year olds (Y12s). It is fascinating work, bringing out the best in young people. Students must create their own applications and challenges, decide what they want to do, research and plan the projects and present them: we help with plans (sending comments by email), careful risk assessment and funding.
Due to expansion, we are seeking a gifted schools’ project officer for a key role within a busy team based in Dulwich SE21, Southwark. The work is varied and fulfilling.
You should be a graduate from a good university, enthusiastic and very well-organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently, manage priorities, work to deadlines, and take initiative. The post involves presenting at school assemblies as outreach, working with students to help them prepare costed applications, handling draft applications by email, and accurate data collection and input. Book and Toy Library Service

Buzgi and Toy Adaptation Service
Cerebra designs and builds bespoke assistive equipment for disabled children, this includes creating custom mobility aids, switch‑adapted toys, and other innovative solutions to help children access play, learning, and independence.
The Bugzi - a mini powered wheelchair for children offers many children their first experience of independent mobility. It uses either a joystick or switches and adaptable seating for complex needs, and helps develop spatial awareness, confidence, and early mobility skills. The Bugzi is available through a national loan scheme.

Management
• Recruit, train, support and motivate fundraising volunteers to help deliver community fundraising activities and events.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, such as venues and event providers, to support successful delivery.
Planning and Organisation
• Develop and deliver activity, stewardship and campaign plans for community and challenge event fundraising within agreed priorities, budgets and income targets.
• Deliver high-quality fundraising events that raise awareness of The Pepper Foundation across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
• Use Donorfy, our fundraising CRM, to administer and manage fundraising activity accurately and effectively, working with the Database Volunteer as needed.
• Produce post-event evaluations and recommendations in line with agreed requirements.
• Use insight, pipeline information and performance data to review results, identify trends and recommend improvements to future activity.
• Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of key events and campaigns, making decisions within agreed plans, budgets and fundraising procedures.
• Take responsibility for health and safety in community fundraising activities, ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed and relevant fundraising and safety procedures are followed.
• Respond appropriately to unexpected incidents at community fundraising events, following agreed procedures and escalating where needed.
• Take an active role in setting up and clearing down events and community fundraising activities, including periods of standing and occasional unsocial hours.
• Arrange appropriate Pepper Foundation attendance at local community events when needed.
• Manage resources effectively, including volunteer support, to maximise reach, income and engagement.
Reporting
• Produce regular reports on pipeline, activity, outcomes, income performance and learning for the Head of Fundraising, highlighting opportunities, risks and recommendations.

EIA is seeking to recruit an Outreach and Communications Officer to strengthen the visibility, influence and coordination of its climate campaign.
The role sits at the intersection of communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement. The postholder will focus on translating and amplifying EIA’s policy and advocacy work through media, stakeholder engagement and external positioning. An important aspect of the role will be to support engagement and coordination with EIA partners, to build the movement and amplify their efforts.
The postholder will not be responsible for developing detailed policy positions or leading policy campaigns but will work closely with the campaigns team to ensure EIA’s analysis and priorities are effectively communicated and reach key audiences.
Key areas of responsibility
Media and strategic communications
· Support the development and delivery of communications strategies aligned with campaign priorities
· Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and key media outlets
· Identify strategic opportunities for media engagement and external visibility, particularly around key policy moments
· Shape narratives, draft and place op-eds, comment pieces and reactive media lines
· Translate campaign priorities and technical analysis into clear, compelling messaging for media, policymakers and external stakeholders
· Contribute to campaign strategy by advising on outreach, positioning and narrative development.
Stakeholder engagement
· Support the development and maintenance of relationships with policymakers, including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), Members of the British Parliament, European Union institutions and other relevant stakeholders
· Support campaigners in planning and delivering stakeholder engagement, including preparing messaging and coordinating meetings
· Support the organisation of events, including identifying and securing speakers and managing outreach and invitations
· Attend key international meetings and fora (e.g. COP, Montreal Protocol) to identify strategic developments and key messages, and produce timely communications outputs, including media lines, briefings and stakeholder updates.
Coalition and network coordination
· Support engagement with subgrantees, including onboarding, facilitating their integration into relevant coalitions and ensuring alignment with EIA’s communications and outreach objectives
· Act as a point of contact for subgrantees on coordination and communications
· Support coordination across partners and stakeholders during key moments, ensuring alignment on messaging and effective external engagement.
Person Specification
Essential
· Demonstrated experience in communications, public affairs, campaigning or media work within NGOs, civil society or advocacy organisations
· Proven experience engaging with journalists and securing media coverage
· Understanding of global and EU climate change policy and/or environmental governance
· Ability to analyse political and policy contexts and translate them into clear, strategic messaging
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content for different audiences
· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
· Professionalism and ability to work collaboratively within a team
· Fluency in English, with knowledge of additional languages an advantage
· Ability to travel at short notice
