Purpose of the role 

To support the financial and administrative operations of Disability Law Service, ensuring accurate financial management and efficient day-to-day organisational support. 

You will manage bookkeeping, legal aid billing, financial records, and general administrative processes, supporting the smooth running of organisational systems and compliance requirements. 

Key responsibilities 

• Manage bookkeeping, invoices, payments, and reconciliations 

• Take responsibility for billing processes and financial records 

• Prepare month-end adjustments (including accruals and prepayments) 

• Maintain accurate financial systems in line with charity and legal aid requirements 

• Support audit and compliance processes 

• Provide general administrative support 

• Use finance and office systems accurately and efficiently

Northern Ballet is looking for a commercially minded, curious and collaborative Management Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting point of change.

This is a part-time role (two or three days per week) ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with real insight, and who wants their work to directly support creativity, touring and long term sustainability.

The Role

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll play a central role in producing high‑quality management information that supports confident decision‑making across the organisation. Alongside core accounting responsibilities, you’ll help shape the future of our finance function, from building a more flexible budgeting and forecasting approach to supporting the implementation of a new finance system.

You’ll gain exposure to every part of Northern Ballet, from performance and production through to fundraising, marketing and education, developing a deep understanding of how an ambitious touring arts organisation operates.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing accurate and insightful monthly management accounts for the Northern Ballet group
• Supporting annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, working with budget holders across the organisation
• Helping design and develop flexible budget modelling tools to support strategic planning
• Partnering with teams to improve financial understanding, ownership and control
• Advising the Development team on the financial elements of funding applications
• Supporting the preparation of Theatre Tax Relief and Film Tax Relief claims
• Playing a key role in the scoping, preparation and implementation of a new finance system
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and controls

About You

You’re someone who enjoys turning financial data into meaningful insight, and who feels comfortable building relationships outside finance. You bring rigour and attention to detail, but also curiosity and a desire to improve how things are done.

Essential

• Experience producing group management accounts
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office or equivalent
• A logical, structured and methodical approach

Desirable

• CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant
• Experience of charity or not‑for‑profit accounting
• Experience within theatre, dance or wider arts organisations
• Knowledge of Theatre Tax Relief and/or Film Tax Relief
• Experience using Pegasus Opera

About the role

We’re seeking a PPIE Manager to lead and strengthen patient involvement across mitochondrial disease research. As an equal partner in the LifeArc Centre for Rare Mitochondrial Diseases, The Lily Foundation leads the programme’s patient and public involvement strategy.

While the initial priority for this role is delivering the PPIE strategy for the LifeArc Centre, as a permanent member of the team, you’ll be responsible for building a sustainable involvement infrastructure that extends across all Lily Foundation research workstreams.

You’ll become a ‘patient expert’ who can bridge the gap between the patient community and the scientific world. You’ll be proactive in upskilling and empowering both patients and researchers, ensuring that lived experience remains the compass for future research.

Key responsibilities

• Lead LifeArc Centre delivery: Work closely with LifeArc leadership and researchers to embed meaningful patient involvement across research activities and work packages.
• Develop the IMPACT network: Grow and support our national patient involvement network, identifying opportunities for families to contribute to research design and documentation.
• Deliver training and capacity building: Develop and deliver training, guidance and workshops to upskill patients, families and researchers in effective PPIE practices.
• Translate and communicate research: Work with our Marketing Team to provide content for the promotion of research news and medical information through social platforms and web-based materials.
• Facilitate focus groups and webinars: Organise patient focus groups to develop a strong knowledge of community needs and lead our quarterly online ‘Zoom Room’ sessions.
• Evaluate and report impact: Measure and share the ‘real world’ impact of PPIE activity to demonstrate its value to LifeArc partners and funders.
• Shape future strategy: Support the development of the UK Mitochondrial Disease Research Institute, ensuring lived experience remains central to the future direction of mitochondrial research.

We’re looking for someone who blends a professional background with a genuine heart for our cause.

Essential knowledge and skills

• Professional background: A background in science, nursing or research, with the proven ability to digest complex medical concepts and ‘translate’ them into accessible, jargon-free content.
• PPIE expertise: A deep understanding of Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement best practices and the different stages of the research cycle.
• Training and facilitation: Confidence in designing and delivering workshops or capacity-building activities for audiences ranging from families to senior researchers.
• Exceptional communication: Confidence in building relationships with families, senior academic leads and industry partners.
• Organisational drive: High levels of organisation and the ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities within a ‘small but mighty’ remote team.

Essential experience

• Direct engagement: Substantial experience working directly with patients, families or the public within a charity, research or healthcare setting.
• Delivering PPIE: A proven track record of delivering involvement activities that have influenced research or service design.
• Impact reporting: Experience in measuring and demonstrating the ‘real world’ value of patient engagement to stakeholders and funders.

Support and Information Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and proactive individual to join Big C as a Health Academy Support and Information Officer. About the role
As part of our small Health Academy team, you’ll work closely with the Health Academy Lead, Nutritionist and Physical Wellbeing Facilitators to deliver a range of wellbeing activities and events. • Oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of outreach, support, and accommodation services, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and excellence.
• Drive performance and impact through robust KPI reporting, using accurate data and high‑quality analysis to identify gaps, implement action plans, and support service improvement.

Mind in Croydon is seeking a motivated, empathetic and person-centred Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) to support adults experiencing mental health challenges to live independently and access the resources and services they need within their local communities. The MHPIC will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) framework. You will provide one-to-one support to individuals, helping them develop Personal Recovery Plans and Action Plans using Open Dialogue approaches, navigate local services, and build confidence and autonomy. The role involves community-based support, home visits, and liaison with carers, families, and a range of health, council, and voluntary sector professionals. You will act as a named keyworker, supporting individuals over a defined period to achieve their recovery goals and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

You will deliver excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct, and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.

The role

The Individual Giving team is responsible for driving growth and income sustainability across Individual Giving (one-off donations, Regular Giving, Lottery) In Memory Giving, Legacy Giving and Major Giving. This is an exciting role and it will suit somebody who enjoys working across our different fundraising products, with particular focus on one-off donations, Regular Giving and In Memory Giving. The role will focus on the acquisition and stewardship of donors, maintaining a fantastic donor journey for longer term engagement. The role holder will need to own and manage their workstreams, drawing on the expertise of other in-house teams from Marketing to Finance. The need for accuracy in data and administrative work requires the role holder to have a keen eye for detail and a respect for processes and regulations.
