The Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations & Systems Manager to play a central role in ensuring Global Dialogue’s operations run smoothly and effectively. This maternity cover role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and supporting teams to be their very best.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer, core operational team, and the hosted and incubated programmes to provide a trusted, responsive operational service that enables programmes to focus on their mission. You will be the first point of call for any operational queries, providing clear guidance on our processes and supporting with practical tasks. Your areas of support will span digital and IT systems, data management, programme support, travel and events processes, and internal communications.

About You

The right candidate will possess excellent project management skills, a systems mindset, and confidence working with IT and digital tools. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including external suppliers, programme staff, and colleagues across the organisation, and thrive in building trusted relationships. With a passion for improving systems and processes for people, you will be someone who has a track record of providing empathetic and resourceful solutions. An awareness of GDPR considerations and risk management is essential. Experience working in a fast‑paced organisation and confidence with digital systems (particularly Microsoft 365 and SharePoint) would be advantageous.

AHF is seeking to appoint 3.5 FTE new Grants Officers to help deliver our core grants and advisory programme across England. These roles have been created following the recent announcement of significant new investment, which will support the expansion of the Heritage Revival Fund through to March 2029. This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

The postholders will be responsible for assessing and managing a caseload of projects within a defined area of England, joining an existing team of Grants Officers. They will advise and guide projects through each stage of the project lifecycle, from early viability through to capital works. They will ensure that grants, where offered, are allocated and monitored in accordance with programme criteria and priorities and will work closely with external partners to support shared objectives.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in grant-making and project management, who can work collaboratively as part of a remote team and who can demonstrate a clear interest in AHF’s mission to promote the conservation and sustainable re‑use of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK. Applicants must also have strong numerical and written skills and confidence using common IT and office systems.

We are seeking to fill three FTE positions and one 0.5 FTE position to cover the Midlands, East of England, Yorkshire & Humberside and North East England so we are particularly keen to hear from applicants in these areas. All roles will be home-based.

Job Summary for Senior Data Manager

• A senior data leadership role sitting at the heart of the Data & IT function, reporting to the CFO and working in close partnership with the Senior IT Manager — with this role taking lead responsibility for all things data
• Own and lead the charity's data strategy, working collaboratively with senior leadership to shape a forward-looking, insight-driven organisation
• Take full ownership of CRM operations (Raiser's Edge NXT), driving adoption, optimisation and continuous improvement to ensure the charity is truly getting the most from the system — unlocking the data, trends and insight within it
• Hold overall responsibility for the Charity Automation Roadmap, driving systems integration and automation to reduce manual effort and improve data flows across the organisation
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks that bring data to life — putting actionable insight into the hands of teams across the organisation
• Build strong, collaborative relationships across fundraising, finance and operational teams — translating business needs into practical technology solutions
• Champion data quality, GDPR compliance and governance, embedding robust standards and processes organisation-wide
• Line manage and develop a small data team, with a coaching-focused approach to performance and growth

Job Sumnmary for Policy Officer 

We are looking for a Policy Officer to join our Policy and Influencing team. You will build on your policy experience, responding to and shaping policy to ensure it drives real change for people affected by bowel cancer. You will turn complex issues into clear, actionable insight for colleagues, partners, and decision-makers, and contribute to evidence-informed positions that support the charity in influencing health policy. You will also lead on your own policy areas and work closely with our bowel cancer community to ensure their experiences inform and shape our work.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

• We welcome applicants from a broad range of experience and background, specifically spanning policy, science or health
• Some direct experience of working on policy issues in health, or a relevant sector, and a willingness to develop these skills further, alongside an interest in those issues affecting bowel cancer patients.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Good verbal, written communications and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt style to different audiences. Including the ability to explain information clearly and encourage colleagues to understand different points of view
• Proven ability of strong analytical and research skills to identify and solve a range of problems
• Good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
• Understanding of the health policy and political environment
• Excellent organisational, time and project management skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines on defined work areas
• Proven ability to support the day-to-day management of specified projects, proving some technical input in the project planning stage.
• Knowledge of the health service and health service policy issues. Awareness of cancer issues and bowel cancer in particular is desirable

A key focus of our strategy is to reach and engage with as many people as possible, affected by and at risk of bowel cancer, by embedding our information and support services within NHS diagnostic, treatment and care pathways. As Health Professional Education and Engagement Manager you will play a central role in helping us achieve this. With a focus on developing networks in primary care and developing existing relationships with CNS’s and secondary care health professionals, you will work across the UK to understand the needs of these stakeholders and identify ways in which we can support them. You will lead the development of our health professional education programme, combining live education events with online learning modules.
