THE ROLE

Job Title: Head of CRM

Reports To: Chief Executive

Location: Remote and hybrid working (occasional travel to SportsAid Head Office)

Salary: £60,000 per annum FTE; pro-rated to £36,000 per annum for 3 days/week

Contract: Permanent; part-time

Hours of work: Part-time position, approx. 21 working hours a week (3 days per week), some evening work may be required from time to time, reasonable flexible work options are available.

CONTEXT & PURPOSE OF ROLE

SportsAid is currently implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud as our new organisation-wide CRM platform to strengthen engagement with athletes and their parents/care-givers, supporters and funders, partners, alumni, volunteers and other key stakeholders.  The Head of CRM will provide strategic and operational leadership for the charity’s CRM function.  

Initially the focus of the role will be to realise the value of the implementation, including adoption, embedding ways of working and processes across teams, improving data quality, refining reporting, ensuring good system governance and optimising organisation-wide usage. 

Longer term, the role will develop and lead a CRM roadmap, identifying priorities and enhancements for future development and planning the strategic evolution of our new CRM ecosystem and long-term sustainability of our Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform.

You will lead organisational change, embed best practice CRM processes, ensure high-quality data governance and maximise the value of CRM insights to support fundraising, programme delivery, marketing, partnerships and impact reporting.

Founded in 1976, SportsAid is a national charity that provides recognition and financial help to emerging young talented sports people – the next generation of British sporting heroes and heroines – often at a crucial time in their personal and sporting development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 CRM Strategy & Leadership

• Champion CRM adoption across all function areas.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on CRM best practice.
• Lead continuous improvement and optimisation of the platform.
• Develop and deliver a multi-year CRM roadmap aligned to organisational strategy.
• Act as Product Owner for Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.

 Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Implementation & Optimisation

• Lead final configuration, rollout and optimisation of:

• • Constituent management
  • Fundraising and donation management
  • Grants management
  • Beneficiary engagement
  • Programme and impact tracking

• Configure and manage:

• • Custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types
  • Validation rules and automation
  • Reports and dashboards

 Data Governance & Compliance

• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.

 User Adoption & Training

• Develop and deliver a CRM training strategy for all staff.

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting.
• Establish and support CRM ‘champions’ (super-users) across function teams.
• Monitor adoption metrics and address any resistance to change.

 Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with Salesforce partners and third-party vendors.
• Oversee licence management and budget control.
• Contribute to digital transformation projects across the charity.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 Experience

• Substantial experience of a similar role within a UK charity (essential).
• Experience with:

• • Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
  • Experience Cloud
  • Payment integrations (eg Stripe, FinDock)
  • Grants management workflows

• Experience managing small CRM or data teams.
• Understanding of impact measurement frameworks in sport or social change.

Salesforce & Technical Expertise

• Significant experience administering Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (or NPSP).
• Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201); ideally Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification.
• Strong understanding of:

About the role:

You will provide trauma informed support to service users impacted by terrorism. Service users are at the heart of the work we do; working with the family, you will undertake a comprehensive needs assessment to agree a bespoke Support Plan that will include exploring the needs of children and young people within the family.

You will manage a caseload, completing actions agreed on Support Plans and reviewing needs with service users on a regular basis. You will advocate for service users with external stakeholders, agencies and aspects of the criminal justice system. About the Role

As a Nightstop Coordinator (Part Time), you’ll be the first point of contact for young people facing homelessness—assessing needs, coordinating safe emergency placements, and guiding them toward longer‑term support. Job Summary - Senior Research Officer

We are seeking a confident and organised Senior Research Officer to join our small but ambitious Research Team. This is a hands-on role with real scope to contribute to how we fund and manage research, and to make a genuine difference to a programme that's helping to save lives.
 

The Senior Research Officer will lead the delivery of our grant funding processes from end to end - managing application rounds, overseeing the active portfolio, coordinating our scientific committees, supporting our research events and leading our approach to patient and public involvement in research. Working in a small, specialist team means you'll also have real scope to contribute ideas, help improve how we do things, and play a meaningful part in the development of the research programme beyond the day-to-day.

About the role:

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, 1 day per week from our London Singer Street office (every Tuesday). The remaining 4 days per week will be home-based, but there will still be the requirement on these days to travel to London courts to deliver pre-trial visits. Therefore, it is essential the travel distance from surrounding counties outside of London is within 30 minutes to London.

As an Independent Witness Advocate you will:

• Lead on providing pre-trial, outreach & post-trial support for witnesses; ensuring their pre and post-trial needs are assessed and a plan for support is put in place so they can attend court to give their best evidence
• Provide advocacy, support in court, and emotional/practical support around their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing
• Liaise with criminal justice partners to ensure witnesses are kept up to date with arrangements for attendance at court and where applicable, ensure special measures have been granted
• Provide practical and emotional support in a way that is approachable, flexible and caring, showing empathy at all times
• Need to be tenacious in support of your clients and being able to solve problems and surmount the challenges posed by the criminal justice system

The role involves supporting service users from referral through admission, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met while collaborating with clinical teams for smooth transitions. Staff provide activities and interventions to help reduce crises, identify triggers, and create safety plans that promote mental health and prevent hospital admissions. One-on-one sessions are conducted to develop wellness recovery action plans, set SMART goals, and build social networks, alongside practical life skills training such as food preparation. Staff also liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies, deliver post-admission welfare support, and maintain high living standards between admissions, all while engaging in professional development to address challenges like self-harm and substance use.

Staff collaborate with Recovery Workers and management to deliver a team-based approach, promote services, and support user engagement in peer-led activities and forums. Additionally, they contribute to developing service standards, follow policies and legislation, report maintenance issues, and undertake additional duties as required, always upholding health and safety rules and procedures.

This role will develop and maintain relationships with trusts, foundations and statutory funders through updates and other bespoke communications in order to maximise income.

You will create funding applications which result in significant five- and six-figure gifts in support of Sue Ryder’s vision and mission. Monitor and report progress towards income targets and other agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

About you:

• Experience of maintaining relationships with funders and designing and implementing tailored donor care and stewardship plans.
• Experience of researching new prospects and of developing pipelines of activity.
• Experience of working with Senior Managers/Directors and committee members.
