• This role will manage the development of the Cats Protection Mid Value Programme and associated mid value product. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of stewardship strategies for the conversion, retention and growth of mid value donors and build a pipeline for major giving to increase sustainable net income for Cats Protection. 

• The team manages a significant portfolio and has ambitious growth targets, and this role will play a key part in growing the number and overall value of supporters.

• Significant experience in related fundraising role(s), such as mid value, major donor, individual giving or direct marketing. Where primary experience is in one area, hands on experience and good understanding in the other is required.

• Demonstrable experience of developing strong long-term relationships with supporters & stakeholders 

• Experience of implementing supporter segmentation processes for database marketing purposes

• Proven track record of achieving income against agreed financial targets as well as other KPIs

• Experience of developing and managing donor engagement and cultivation plans and strategies

• Extensive proven experience of producing high quality and compelling appeals, proposals, reports and correspondence to inspire generous support

2. JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Officer will play a key role in administering the Charity’s financial operations, and supporting the leadership team in delivering sustainable growth, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This role delivers hands-on financial management, and payroll oversight.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Operations & Reporting

· Process day-to-day financial operations via Xero, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.

· Administer the sales ledgers, working with other managers, to raise timely invoices and credit notes.

· Maintain strong working relationships with debtors to ensure prompt payment of invoices.

· Administer the purchase ledgers, supporting other managers, ensuring accurate accounting of invoices/other expenses. Oversee purchase order process. Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers and internal customers.

· Maintain regulatory and professional compliance.

· Maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures.

· Provide administrative support to the month and year end accounts

· Support auditors with supplying documentation and administrative queries

· Produce weekly cashflow forecast.

Budgeting & Strategic Support

· Support with the preparation of annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.

· Provide financial insight and advice to the management team to inform decision-making.

· Support funding applications and grant reporting with accurate financial data.

Payroll & People Support

· Manage relationship with external payroll provider

· Prepare monthly payroll, pensions, and staff expenses for external Payroll provider, ensuring compliance with employment legislation. Staff team of 11 at present.

· Liaise with HR and external providers to ensure accurate and timely processing.

· Process PAYE, NI, and pension for timely submissions.

Systems & Process Development

· Operate finance systems (e.g., accounting software, payroll systems via BrightPay) and implement improvements.

· Ensure financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and secure.

· Streamline processes to improve efficiency and transparency.

· Support Governance & Compliance

· Help with the preparation of reports for the Finance & Audit Committee and Board of Trustees.

· Ensure adherence to charity finance regulations, SORP, and best practice.

· Act as the first point of contact for external auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders.

The Philanthropy Lead will build and deliver a high-performing high-value fundraising programme, focused on pipeline development, strategic relationship progression and long-term supporter value. This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring a confident fundraiser who can identify, qualify, cultivate and close gifts and funding propositions.

Working closely with senior leaders, prospect research, trustees and a dedicated philanthropy subgroup, the role will unlock networks, develop compelling propositions and create meaningful engagement opportunities that inspire transformational support for hospice care.

This post plays a critical role in strengthening the hospice’s financial sustainability and enabling outstanding care for patients and families across the local community.

About Hope for the Young

Hope for the Young removes the obstacles to young refugees and sanctuary-seekers’ education and wellbeing through mentoring, advocacy, and financial support.

The Mentoring Programme supports young refugees and sanctuary-seekers aged 16-25 by matching them with trained volunteer mentors who provide weekly one-to-one support tailored to the young people's needs. Mentors help with teaching English, enrolment advice, study skills, confidence and trust building, and provide emotional and practical support that helps young people access new services, adapt and settle into their communities.

The Grants and Advocacy Programme supports young people who, due to their immigration status, have no access to student finance or other financial support to enable them to go to college or university. We provide small grants to pay for tuition fees, living allowances and travel expenses, alongside tailored advocacy support to enable young refugees and sanctuary-seekers to access education in the UK.

About this role

Hope for the Young is looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Finance and Operations to lead the smooth running of our finance, systems, HR and office functions. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a small, ambitious charity, giving you the opportunity to shape how we operate as we grow our support for young refugees and sanctuary-seekers across London.

You will oversee financial management and reporting, ensuring accurate records, robust controls and clear budgeting and forecasting to support the charity's long-term sustainability. You will also lead on our Salesforce system and wider data practices, manage day-to-day office and operational matters, and take responsibility for HR across the organisation. You will also line-manage our Finance and Administration Officer.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of responsibility and thrives in a small team environment. Working closely with the CEO and Head of Programmes, you will play a central role in ensuring Hope for the Young has the systems, processes and people in place to deliver our mission effectively, efficiently and sustainably, helping us support more young people seeking safety to build safe, hopeful futures.

We offer a flexible and hybrid working environment, however you will be expected to come to our office in Brixton for a minimum of 1 day per week (on a Wednesday, which is our office team day).

Key responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

· Lead and oversee the charity's financial management, ensuring robust controls, effective processes and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

· Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning in collaboration with the CEO and Head of Programmes to support organisational sustainability.

· Oversee the delivery of day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and financial record-keeping, delivered by the Finance and Administration Officer, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.

· Monitor income, expenditure, reserves and restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective resource management.

· Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial reports and analysis to support decision-making by the CEO and Board.

· Maintain and strengthen financial controls, delegated authority arrangements and audit processes to ensure strong financial governance.

Leadership, Governance and Organisational Management

· Lead organisational operational planning and risk management, ensuring systems, processes and resources align with and support delivery of the strategic plan

· Sit as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to organisational strategy, cross-team planning and key decision-making alongside the CEO and Head of Programmes.

· Maintain the organisational risk register, working with the CEO and Board to identify and mitigate strategic and operational risks.

· Own the organisation’s policy framework, maintaining the policy register and ensuring the timely revision, review and compliance of all policies.

IT and Office Management

· Lead the development, administration and optimisation of Salesforce, other fundraising platforms and related system integrations to support fundraising, donor engagement and programme delivery, liaising closely with the Salesforce consultant to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.

· Drive the continuous improvement of Salesforce systems, processes and data management practices, ensuring high standards of data quality, security and operational efficiency.

· Oversee the IT infrastructure, managing the procurement and ongoing maintenance of IT hardware, systems and software with support from the external IT provider.

· Provide training, guidance and user support on Salesforce, Sharepoint, and all related platforms to maximise staff capability and system adoption.

· Ensure a fully functioning office base which enables Hope for the Young to deliver its operational activities in the most efficient and effective manner.

Human Resource Management

· Lead and oversee HR operations, including the recruitment, onboarding and retention of staff and volunteers

· Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including inductions, appraisals, performance reviews and professional development planning

· Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies through effective management and administration of contracts, HR records, employee benefits and people processes

· Lead on team wellbeing, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and resilient working culture across the team

Responsibilities of our Data Import Developer:

• The Data Import Developer role is designed to provide dedicated delivery capacity for data development and change work that enables Marketing & Income Generation and, beyond that, wider charity system developments, supports compliance, and reduces operational risk.

• This role will focus on improving and building data processes and flows (including CRM side Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes) so that issues are addressed at source, technical debt is minimised, and data is consistently reliable and usable across teams. 

About the Data & Analytics team: 

• The Data & Analytics team are a department of 17 people in the Marketing & Income Generation directorate consisting of four sub-teams : data processing, data selections, data analytics and customer journeys. 

• The data processing sub-team are responsible for importing supporter data into our main CRM from numerous different data sources and developing the import routines to do so, they are also responsible for data integrity; ensuring data is accurate and up to date, and maintaining our single customer and supporter view. 

What we’re looking for in our Data Import Developer:

• Experience developing, improving or implementing data processes, flows, validation or matching logic within a CRM or comparable data environment.

• Experience translating business requirements into stable data solutions and documented processes.

• Experience working with complex datasets to identify root cause, reduce recurrence, and improve reliability.

• Experience of building or improving imports/transformations using an ETL/import tool

• Experience coordinating testing/validation and supporting adoption/handover of new processes.

• Experience working with a contacts database (CARE NG Database, Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM)

• Experience of working with financial data and of reconciliation processes

The Job 

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. The Church Engagement and Events Officer will play a key role in building relationships with churches, supporters and volunteers across Britain, Ireland and Europe, helping them engage more deeply with USPG's vision and mission. 

You will lead the planning and delivery of USPG's events programme, including the USPG Conference, Founder's Day, In Conversation Dinners and the annual Carol Service, as well as supporting the organisation's presence at festivals, synods and other national events. We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the staff team at Godalming Minster, an active church across 4 locations in Godalming.  It comprises 3 listed church buildings, a community centre and a worshipping community which runs activities to support groups and individuals locally, and focuses on making a positive impact.

This is a new role in the finance team, to support the growing remit of the Minster's facilities and initiatives.  Working alongside staff and volunteers who lead youth and children's work, groups for older people, hearing aid clinics, pastoral care, a community cafe and a foodbank, we need a strong communicator who is highly organised - a great team player in a lively organisation.

The scope of the role includes routine financial oversight including aspects of management and statutory accounting, budgeting, VAT, Gift Aid, payroll and audit.

The Finance Manager will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the nation offices, supporting and advising, building excellence in standards within the finance office and injecting innovative solutions to the organisation’s financial strategy.
 

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working in partnership with Turning Point and Antidote, provide the City and Hackney Integrated Recovery Service (Substance Use).  The service is based in each of City and Hackney’s neighbourhoods in order to be accessible, local and inclusive.  A full integrated service will contribute to recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough. A full integrated service, shaped by the community needs and voices of service users, carers, families, communities, all staff and volunteers will contribute to recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough.

The service has three elements: Out There, Everywhere- specialist outreach, in reach and engagement, Building Blocks- low, medium and hi intensity support pathways, and Get Connected- building on our local, individual, and shared assets to provide recovery capital and peer support.

This role will connect the staff teams and service users to wellbeing opportunities within the local community. The role will promote the City & Hackney Recovery Service within the local community through events, social media and local community engagement. They will identify the needs of the client group and provide adequate support.

This role will lead on management of subcontractors, coordinate quarterly contract monitoring and build partnerships including commissioners, GPs, politicians, and other stakeholders to increase collaborative and effective service in City and Hackney’s neighbourhoods. The role will also lead to support MindCHWF’s policies and delivery in the blended service in order to provide efficient and high-quality service.

Job Role:

1. Nurture external partnerships across specific areas and being responsible for overseeing and ensuring all appropriate pathways are in place and reviewed

2. Maintain and enhance appropriate key relationships with statutory and VCS partners who co-locate/joint work with or refer into the service

3. Lead on expanding the partnership network on an ongoing basis by identifying opportunities to streamline delivery and maximise joint working

4. Work as part of the service-wide team developing recovery treatment services that are truly connected to the community

5. Lead on development and management of a broad range of internal and external partnerships including but not limited to, homelessness prevention, outreach, community development and engagement, peer mentoring

6. Take a lead role in supporting the teams to improve and adapt to changing demands

7. Promote and raise the profile of the service and partners across the boroughs

8. Establish and review joint-working protocols to deliver joined up and effective support, using a population health perspective, reflecting the service’s aims

9. Oversee the innovation fund, establishing processes and protocols to set it up and the ongoing governance of the fund

10. Lead on management of all service sub-contractors – including liaison and cascade of information back and forth between the service, co-ordinate quarterly (and ad hoc) contract monitoring (manage KPI’s, staffing, service support etc.).

11. Develop and manage a Partnership Board that meets quarterly comprising Mind, London Friend and NHS Homerton (and any other organisations we begin sub-contracting to).

12. Generate and maintain/oversee SharePoint folders for all key stakeholders – including contact info, management details, premises and any joint working agreement paperwork.

13. Maintain and overarching Stakeholder contact list in Excel to be stored on SharePoint, update and amend as necessary over time.

14. Maintain and update the service satellite spreadsheet (including internal and external satellites).

15. Attend relevant CDP’s to represent the service and cover for colleagues at CDP’s as and when required.

16. Be the main link for partners/stakeholders when they are looking to initiate some joint working enterprise or have feedback or concerns to raise with the service.

17. To lead on organising stakeholder events and community events.

18. To establish and continue building a wide network of contacts for the service within as many professions as possible within CoL and Hackney.

19. To branch the service out more into the night-time economy of the borough, in terms of awareness, literature/posters and training where relevant.

20. Support the Training and Practice Lead to offer and deliver more training to external partners.

21. Run regular feedback sessions and surveys of partners to elicit feedback from the service and gather intelligence on what training and support they would like from our service. Share this information/intelligence regularly with the service at MGM’s.

22. To maintain and bolster 12-step and other mutual aid groups in the service, be the main liaison for these contacts and establish a SMART recovery Group to complement our existing mutual aid arrangements.

23. Lead on changes to the service website, review this site and consider how we could optimise promoting the service this way.

24. Lead on liaison with TP External Affairs and Marketing teams. Create and manage a service promotion plan.

25. Lead on negotiating, writing, collating and storing all MOU’s, RA’s ISA’s and all other written agreements with partner agencies relating to co-location and joint working.

26. Manage the service’s digital footprint including google reviews, and control or delegate the management of the service’s social media channels to boost our digital engagement with the local community.

27. Create a regular C&H Recovery Service newsletter to share with partners and stakeholders.

28. Engage with local media and politicians where appropriate to promote the service and position the service effectively politically within the borough.

29. Oversee the work we do with commissioners and public health teams on the PH Van and Hot Spot Activity including attending meetings relating to these with the council. Ensure a rota and staffing is organised for these outreach exercises months in advance.

30. Continue to manage the contracts and joint-working agreements with the GPSC scheme and our separate GP alcohol satellites with a view to setting up at least two more GP satellites in the borough.

31. Organise regular forums and training sessions with GP’s in the borough.

32. To field any complaints coming from GP’s and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for a Fundraising Support Officer to support a wide range of fundraising activities across Dignity in Dying and Compassion in Dying.

This is a varied and practical role supporting campaigns, donor care, and administrative processes. You will play an important part in ensuring our supporters have a positive experience while helping deliver key fundraising initiatives, including new programme development.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career, returning to work, or looking to move into fundraising. We are looking for enthusiasm, organisation and a willingness to learn, and will support you to develop in the role.

• Provide administrative support for fundraising campaigns, including direct mail activity
