Job description
Join RBL’s Acquisition and Development Team and help deliver fundraising campaigns that inspire supporters and generate vital income.
We’re recruiting three Officers, each specialising in Digital, TV or face-to-face fundraising, with opportunities to collaborate across channels and develop broad campaign experience.
Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
We're a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and supporter-centric fundraising. We celebrate success and learn from setbacks to achieve ambitious goals together. Working with experienced fundraising and marketing professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience in campaign delivery, audience targeting, agency management, supporter journeys, performance reporting and insight-led decision making.
You’ll be working across the three giants of RBL’s major fundraising programmes- Poppy Appeal, Legacies and Individual Giving. In a typical day you could be providing training for external face to face fundraisers, reviewing performance for a Legacy or Lottery DRTV campaign or applying test and learn principles to optimise a digital paid media campaign.
We’re looking for someone who’s already comfortable working in a fundraising or marketing environment where there’s real pressure to deliver. You’ll need to be organised, confident working with different stakeholders, and able to keep multiple campaigns moving without losing control of the detail. If you enjoy taking ownership of your work, spotting what can be improved, and seeing campaigns go from plan to live to impact, this is a role where you’ll have plenty of space to do exactly that.
Fundraising sits at the heart of The Royal British Legion’s 10-year strategy, and we’re investing in the people, skills and ideas that will drive growth and strengthen our support for the Armed Forces community. As one of the UK’s most trusted and recognisable charities, we have the reach and ambition to make a real difference, and this is your chance to be part of it. Our Fundraising portfolio is broad and dynamic, spanning major corporate partnerships to our sector leading charity Lottery. We’re investing in growth, evolving how we work, and putting supporters at the centre of everything we do. This is an exciting time to join us. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team, helping shape the future of our fundraising and the impact we achieve together.
