The Peer Recovery Worker will support people who are sleeping rough, at risk of rough
sleeping, or going through important stages in housing and recovery. The main purpose
of this role is to help reduce the harm caused by rough sleeping.
You will listen, build trust, give practical help and share clear information. You will help

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As Waking Night Recovery Worker you will be ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of our building and service users throughout the night. In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, including mental health challenges and substance misuse, helping them achieve positive outcomes and maintain their independence. Responsibilities include co-producing risk assessments, support plans, and crisis interventions, responding appropriately to incidents and mental health relapses, carrying out welfare and flat checks, and supporting service users with their health, wellbeing, and safety goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining the security of the building through regular patrols, health and safety inspections, CCTV and alarm monitoring, as well as undertaking housing management and caretaking duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, proactive, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable people.

We are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and highly motivated individual with demonstrable experience supporting people with mental health needs and complex support requirements. The successful candidate will be confident in engaging service users in assessments, developing and reviewing support and safety plans, and delivering activities that promote confidence, independence, wellbeing, and self-defined recovery. You will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways, together with the ability to remain calm and maintain high standards in challenging and unpredictable situations. Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and case management systems, are essential, as is an understanding of basic building maintenance and safety issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accurate record keeping, and the ability to handle financial transactions responsibly are required. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays is essential, along with a commitment to delivering outstanding support and safeguarding the wellbeing of our service users.

Catalyst Support is looking for a confident and values-led Safe Haven Team Lead to support the smooth running of our out-of-hours crisis prevention and support service across Aldershot, Guildford and Woking. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a partnership model that brings together community connections and statutory mental health providers to reduce emotional and psychological distress for people experiencing, or at risk of escalating to, a mental health crisis.

Purpose of the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen their support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working from Y Sort It’s offices and directly in kinship carers’ homes and community spaces. You will work alongside Y Sort It’s Intandem mentors to ensure that both carers and the children they care for receive coordinated, complementary support.
Accurate recording of your work is essential to enable Kinship and Inspiring Scotland to understand what is working, demonstrate impact and learn from this pioneering pilot.
Direct support
You will provide intensive one-to-one support to kinship carers for up to six months, working within the delivery approach set out in the Kinship Connected Service Manual. You will also establish and facilitate a monthly support group for kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire.

You will have experience of:
Planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s individual development, curiosity, and wellbeing.

Understand and appreciate the importance of monitoring and evaluation in a preschool based setting.
To carry out visits and inductions for new children and to ensure a smooth settlement.
