The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress. The café is weekdays during the evening and at weekends in the afternoon. We provide initial support meetings both face to face and via the telephone, working with clients to resolve immediate distress, and explore coping mechanisms. We then co-produce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.
The support worker will be experienced in working with people in distress or who have mental health issues, highly organised and have excellent people skills. A minimum of 3 shifts per week is required.
The service is open 7 days a week:
4.30-10pm Monday – Friday and 12–6pm Saturday and Sunday (Barnet)
5-10pm Monday – Friday and 12–5pm Saturday and Sunday (Enfield)
