We have three refuges in Bexley, which provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are there for women at a time of crisis and help families take their first steps to freedom and recovery.
We exist to end the harm done through gender-based violence. Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives, free from abuse.
About the Role
You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across two sites. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with this or a similar client group. An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential.
As part of both roles, one of the job posts will be located in one refuge, with the other job post located across three refuges.
About You
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.
Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

- Ensure all data collection aligned to current Data Protection regulations and use and storage of data is in line with the Trust’s own policies and provide reassurance to the Head of Services.
- Ensure accurate data is in place for year-end reporting, quarterly and including assisting Head of Services with quarterly and End of Year Board reporting.
Reporting & Contract Management:
- Identify risks to delivery and work with the grant administrator to help resolve any challenges with delivery that impact on the grant obligations.
- To work with internal and external monitoring and evaluation specialists, to gain impact and understanding of the effect of our funding schemes.
Knowledge Sharing
- Identify and develop opportunities to work collaboratively and share learning.
- Ensure case studies and other content is collated from grant recipients to share through our channels.
Please note the employee will be required to undertake any reasonable work or task requested by the Trust, this will include occasional travel, potentially overnight, in England, Scotland and Wales.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience of working with positive, equitable partnerships.
- Experience in using Grant Management Software including reporting systems and dashboards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively without compromising on quality or efficiency and be able to adapt to changing demands.

The Philanthropy Lead, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, is responsible for inspiring new prospective, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors into greater involvement with the charity. You will be an experienced and confident relationship builder, communicator and fundraiser, cultivating relationships with high-value donors and partners to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Implementation & Fundraising
- Implementation of a strategic plan to significantly increase major donor income, with a target of 17.5% of overall revenue within 3 years.
- Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for major donor income, aligned with CAP's overall strategic priorities.
- Execution of market research and competitor analysis to identify new funding opportunities and best practice in Philanthropic fundraising.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, in order to identify points of engagement and draft appropriate funding bids.
- Represent the charity at high-level events and conferences to build relationships with potential donors and partners.
Person Specification:
- Proven track record of success in securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in securing philanthropic support and building partnerships
