Harrogate Homeless Project is dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness across the Harrogate district. We provide safe accommodation, practical support and opportunities for individuals to rebuild confidence, develop independence and create brighter futures.

As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer to help secure the funding needed to sustain and develop our vital work.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grant fundraiser to play a pivotal role in the future sustainability of Harrogate Homeless Project.

Working closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you will lead on identifying, researching and securing funding from trusts and foundations, with a particular focus on capital funding opportunities. You will also help strengthen our impact measurement and evidence-gathering processes, ensuring we can effectively demonstrate the difference our services make and maximise future funding success.

The successful candidate will be a confident relationship-builder with excellent written communication skills and a track record of securing grant funding. You'll be passionate about making a positive impact and committed to supporting people affected by homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

Trust and Foundation Fundraising

• Research, identify and pursue trust and foundation funding opportunities.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of funding applications and grant programmes.
• Prepare compelling grant applications, expressions of interest and supporting documentation.
• Manage the full grant cycle, from prospect research through to reporting and stewardship.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders.
• Maintain an accurate funding pipeline and prospect database.
• Monitor funding deadlines, reporting requirements and opportunities.

Impact Measurement and Evidence Development

• Work with service teams to gather meaningful data, outcomes and case studies.
• Support the development of impact reporting and evaluation processes.
• Help create compelling cases for support that demonstrate organisational impact.
• Collaborate across teams to identify funding priorities and evidence required for applications.

Fundraising Administration

• Maintain accurate fundraising records and grant documentation.
• Track applications, awards and reporting schedules.
• Support funder reporting and impact updates.
• Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure the accuracy of budgets and financial information.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising best practice and GDPR requirements.

Strategic Development

• Identify emerging funding opportunities and sector trends.
• Support wider fundraising strategy and organisational sustainability plans.
• Explore partnership and collaborative funding opportunities.
• Contribute to applications for statutory, local authority and government funding where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience of researching, writing and securing successful grant funding applications.
• Experience of managing a fundraising pipeline and achieving income targets.
• Excellent written communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience gathering and presenting impact and outcomes data.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• A commitment to the values and mission of Harrogate Homeless Project.

Experience within the homelessness, housing, health or wider voluntary sector, along with knowledge of capital fundraising, would be advantageous.

What You'll Do

• Provide 1st line (and some 2nd line) technical support to colleagues, ensuring their IT issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, escalating when needed, and always aiming to exceed service expectations.
• Support users with their Victim Support computers, Microsoft Windows, Office, and more.
• Create and update user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to empower colleagues and boost self-service confidence.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and IT projects-your ideas and input will always be valued!

Who We're Looking For:

• Experience in a 1st/2nd line IT Service Desk support role, ideally in an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Confident with Microsoft technologies (Windows, Office, Active Directory) and end-user hardware setup and troubleshooting.

The Southmead Project is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraiser to support the charity’s long-term financial sustainability.

The postholder will identify, research and secure funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources. They will lead on developing high-quality, persuasive funding applications and reports that clearly communicate the impact of the Southmead Project’s work and the needs of the people it supports.

Working closely with the CEO, Head of Finance and trustees, the Fundraiser will develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan, maintain a strong funding pipeline, and support the organisation to diversify its income. The role will require excellent writing, research, relationship-building and organisational skills, alongside a strong commitment to the charity’s values and mission.

• Develop an annual fundraising plan, alongside the Head of Finance and CEO.

• Carry out ongoing prospect research to identify new sources of funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources.

• Maintain a fundraising pipeline, ensuring that opportunities, deadlines, applications and reporting requirements are monitored effectively.

• Build and maintain a database of prospective and current funders, including key contacts, deadlines, funding priorities and application requirements.

• Monitor relevant local, regional and national funding opportunities, including being a sponsored charity at community events.

• Produce funding applications for trusts, charities, foundations and statutory bodies as an ongoing part of the charity’s income generation.

• Analyse data and feedback collected through outcomes processes for report writing.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, partners and relevant stakeholders, including the corporate sector as part of the charity’s income diversification strategy.

• Attend monthly meetings with the Senior Leadership Team and trustee meetings as required.

• To work within the framework, spirit and ethos of the Southmead Project’s Equal Opportunities Policy, and actively engage in promoting the policy within the charity and in all dealings with clients and other agencies.

About the Role

As a Service Delivery Assistant, you will provide high quality administrative support to the service. You will act as a first point of contact for enquiries into the service and support the wider team with administrative duties. As a part of your role, you may be asked to attend offices around Hampshire & Isle of Wight to support the team with associated expenses paid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upload referrals to our computerised case management system, in accordance with our standards.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, telephone and general queries for the service
• Collate and supply information and correspondence to internal and external contacts
• Liaise with referring agencies to improve referral information and support referral pathways.
• Provide general admin support including data entry, minute taking, raising purchase orders and processing invoices.

About You:

Ideally, you will need experience working within a client focused service and a good understanding and knowledge of office systems.

You will need:

• Effective verbal and written communication and numerical skills.
• Experience working in an adminstrative setting role
• Experience of providing administrative support to a team
• Understanding and knowledge of the requirements relating to confidentiality and data protection.
• Understanding and knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity.

• Good IT skills and experience of using all packages in the standard Microsoft Office suite and case management systems/databases.

• Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision to achieve deadlines.
• Strong record keeping skills with a focus on quality and accuracy.

We are looking for a motivated and supportive Triage & Early Intervention Officer to contact children and young people who have been victims of crime to offer support and complete initial assessments. This role is part-time working a rota pattern between 8am-6pm on a Tuesday and Friday The role is based at our office in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh.

About the Role:

As a CYP Triage & Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for children, young people and their parents/carers referred to our service. You will conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments, provide immediate and short-term interventions, and ensure that each young persons receives tailored support that meets their individual needs. The role may require some minimal travel across Hampshire.

As a Triage & Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Conduct comprehensive impact & risk assessments for children & young people
• Provide tailored responses to clients' needs including information about their rights and the services available to them.
• Take incoming calls and deliver support
• Maintain accurate & confidential case management records.
• Work as part of a team & collaborate with statutory & voluntary agencies to address clients' needs.

About You:

Ideally you will have an understanding of the impact of crime & the criminal justice system. Experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting is also beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• To work effectively both as part of a team & independently
• To develop & maintain partnerships with external organisations.
• The ability to undertake impact & risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues & legislation related to child protection & vulnerable adults.

You will need:

• Understanding of the impact of crime on victims such as sexual violence, hate crime and anti-social behaviour
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s).
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
• Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role
• Ability to use generic IT applications competently.
