As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker, you will ensure our learners feel safe, secure and supported throughout the night. You will remain awake and alert, responding to individual needs and helping maintain a calm and structured home environment. This is a rewarding role where your vigilance, compassion and professionalism make a genuine difference.

Key responsibilities include:

• Staying awake and vigilant to ensure learner safety and wellbeing

• Carrying out regular checks of the home and responding to any concerns

• Supporting learners with personal care and medical needs where required

• Monitoring health needs in line with care plans

• Working collaboratively with night staff across residential homes

We are looking for someone who is calm, dependable and values-driven, able to work independently during the night while remaining connected to the wider team. As a Rehoming Coordinator at Dogs Trust, you'll play a key role in finding loving homes for our dogs, supporting adopters and helping reduce the time dogs spend in our care.

What does this role do?

As a Rehoming Coordinator, you will:

• Champion the rehoming journey by providing excellent customer service, matching dogs to adopters, and arranging safe introductions, including occasional home visits.
• Maintain oversight of dog status across kennels, Foster and Home Stay, responding to enquiries and proactively seeking rehoming opportunities.
• Promote dogs ready for adoption by creating engaging online profiles and images, working closely with the Media Coordinator.
• Support the rehoming of long-term and complex dogs by liaising with the Behaviour and Welfare teams to communicate specific needs.

Job Purpose

The Gifting Manager will lead the development and delivery of Petty Pool Trust’s legacy giving and alumni programmes. This is a new and strategically important role, responsible for creating and embedding a sustainable legacy pipeline that will generate long-term income to support young people with learning disabilities to thrive.

The postholder will design and implement a comprehensive legacy strategy, build awareness among supporters, cultivate future legacy pledgers, and establish systems and processes to steward legacy gifts effectively and sensitively. They’ll oversee development of an alumni programme for learners and their families for medium term major gifts and donations to ensure sustainable incomes streams for the charity, towards both restricted and unrestricted funding requirements. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Programme Development

• Develop and implement a multi-year legacy strategy aligned with Petty Pool’s wider fundraising and organisational goals.
• Establish clear income projections, KPIs and reporting mechanisms for legacy fundraising. Identify and segment target audiences for legacy giving.
• Develop the case for support for legacy giving in collaboration with senior leadership and communications teams.

• Organise cultivation events and engagement opportunities.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

Key Responsibilities:

The Housing and Tenancy Sustainment Officer role (internally known as Tenancy Sustainment officer) is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for our vulnerable clients. The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with support colleagues to ensure that licensees/tenants can maintain their licence and tenancies and can access services, taking appropriate action on breaches of licence agreements/tenancies, including antisocial behaviour, and to maximise outcomes for tenants and The Salvation Army.

Successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients

Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

1 x CYP Coordinator- Short Breaks Family Days- 30 hours- Kent wide

Family days bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. The coordinator develops and facilitates activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisation and communication skills. 

The roles are 30 hours per week, working Wednesday to Saturday. In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed.

We are looking for a new team member to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

About Little Hearts Matter

Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.

Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations and the gradual realisation that they will never have the same life as their peers. Our aims are to:

Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.

Reduce fear by offering patients, parents, siblings, and the extended family a greater opportunity to understand the diagnosis and treatment paths available.

Reduce confusion and a lack of understanding by producing and supplying for free, user focused information that supports and aids understanding from the time of diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.

Raise a greater awareness within Medical, Educational, Social and Governmental circles of the needs of children, and their families, as they travel through every stage of their lives.

• Act as the key point of contact for referrers and the contracted providers with regards to referrals.

• Support Project Officers with monthly monitoring when required.

General 

• Promote the role of KCSC and support its overall aims and activities.
