Balance is seeking a persuasive and values based role model to work with its leadership team and operational managers to build the volunteer offer across the charity and its services. This is a part time post based on 25 hours per week based at our offices in Kingston with additional flexibility for home working.

Summary
We have an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist Apprentice to support the Central Quadrant of Harris secondary academies, helping to identify, attract and engage our communities.
Working with the Assistant Director and Principals from the Quadrant, you will have the opportunity to support with our Academy marketing strategies, including social media channels, newsletters, events and create graphic designs, images and videos for both organic and paid campaigns. You will also work with the Federation Talent Attraction Partner.
This is an apprentice role with a fixed-term duration of 18 months. Your learning will be supported by the completion of the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship programme.
The Central Quadrant academies are based in Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Croydon and Bromley and the successful candidate will be part of the academy team. We can be flexible on your base academy within the Central Quadrant.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies, primarily focussing on student and staff recruitment and improving brand awareness
- Designing and generating mixed media content for use on academy websites and relevant social media to increase brand awareness and drive engagement
- Managing day-to-day social media posting and platforms
- Helping to develop compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audiences
- Ensuring brand consistency across all communications and external media
- Writing, editing, proofreading and publishing press releases and academy newsletters
- Monitoring and adjusting campaigns to meet budget and performance objectives
- Using data analysis tools to record, interpret, and analyse campaign performance, and creating and delivering actionable reports driven by these insights
- Conducting ongoing research into audiences, preferences and trends
- Researching and generating ideas to maximise audience engagement
- Performing keyword research to identify trends and develop content which improves SEO, discoverability, and engagement
- Using industry standard packages to edit content
- Photographing and videoing events and activities at the Academy and cataloguing and maintaining the Academy digital photo library

We are looking for people with great energy and motivation to join our Short Breaks service which offers a chance for young people with an additional need/ disability to have fun and a break from daily routines, and helps families to enjoy quality time, local activities, and connections with others.
2 x CYP Coordinator- Short Breaks- 30 hours- Ashford and Swale, Canterbury and Thanet
Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.
1 x CYP Coordinator- Short Breaks Family Days- 30 hours- Kent wide
Family days bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. The coordinator develops and facilitates activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.
Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisation and communication skills.
The roles are 30 hours per week, working Wednesday to Saturday. In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed.
It’s essential that applicants have their own car and are willing to drive a minibus (full training provided).

A non-profit animal welfare organisation in Bali, with a team of approximately 70 staff and multiple operational programs, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and strengthen our financial management and administrative systems.
About the Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organisation, ensuring strong financial integrity, compliance, and transparency. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both experienced oversight and operational involvement.
The successful candidate will manage the finance and co-ordinate with the administration teams, work closely with external tax advisors and auditors, and ensure that the organisation maintains the highest standards of financial accountability to donors, partners, and regulatory authorities.
Living and working in Bali is required in the first six months of employment. Subsequently, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience, remote work with regular trips to Bali will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring clear processes.
- Ensure all income and expenditures are accurately coded and allocated to the correct projects, departments, and donor funds.
- Oversee financial data management and ensure accurate accounting across multiple accounts and programs.
- Support the development and strengthening of financial systems and procedures.
Financial Reporting & Budgeting
- Prepare regular financial reports and statements for organisational leadership.
- Monitor program budgets and track expenditure against approved budgets.
- Support organisational management and leadership with financial planning and program budgeting.
Controls, Compliance & Risk Management
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent errors.

- Lead preparation for internal and external audits, maintaining high levels of financial transparency and accountability.
- Work closely with external tax consultants and auditors to ensure all reporting obligations are met.
