The Opportunity

We are seeking a Programme Officer to join our Work Experience Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and confident individual to join us in a role which has responsibility for ensuring suitable and safe work experience placements are sourced, managed and available for students. Our Work Experience programme provides a taster of the ‘World of Work’ helping to raise career aspirations and support academic progression.  Our team work with local and central London employers and education providers and provide placements for over 5,000 young people each academic year. 

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

• To secure, update and manage work experience placements.
• To handle telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
• To be a key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.
• To produce information and provide support to the Head of Work Experience and other team members.
• Completing one-to-one interviews with students with additional needs to ensure suitable placements are secured.
• Managing placements using a bespoke IT system.

THE ROLE

As the Corporate Fundraiser at Zoe’s Place Liverpool, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission by contributing to the delivery of our overall income generation strategy.

Your primary responsibilities will include researching and cultivating relationships with corporate supporters to drive sustainable income growth. Collaborating closely with the Senior Corporate Fundraiser, you will ensure that potential corporate partners share our mission and values, while providing ongoing communication and stewardship.

This post is an exciting opportunity to work with Nottingham City’s PCN 8 (Clifton and Meadows).. Using the Macmillan Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment to support Cancer Care Reviews will ensure patients have access to the right support for all their non-clinical needs. The post will also work on the preventative agenda, supporting uptake of cancer screening across the PCNs and supporting the practices within the PCNs to deliver their improvement plan around early diagnosis of cancer. (in line with NHS England and NHS Improvement -  QOF Quality Improvement domain 20/21 – Early diagnosis of cancer).

 You will work in partnership with GP surgeries to give non-medical support that maximises patients’ wellbeing through their Cancer journey. The primary role is to do Cancer Care Reviews, with access to each surgery’s IT systems to track patient lists, document, and communicate with practice staff. This role will involve liaising with services from within the NHS structure as well as external services, so you will need to be skilled in navigating intricate processes and organisational structures from both the inside and the outside. You will also help with improving screening uptake and community engagement, building relationships with local services and groups to further enhance the support.

Position

Hope for Justice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join our UK Advocacy Team as an Independent Modern Slavery Advocate (IMSA), who is able to work directly with survivors, offering legal advocacy and specialist support and advice.

As an Independent Modern Slavery Advocate (IMSA), you will provide advocacy and victim services to survivors of modern slavery in the UK - managing a caseload, conducting assessments and developing pathways for survivors.

Key Result Areas:

• Progressing caseload from initial assessment to closure, addressing identified needs
• Building and maintaining partnerships with other organisations (including state and NGO) to create opportunities for survivors of modern slavery
• Supporting the Reforming Society agenda – providing evidence base for reform; providing advice and training, where necessary, to agencies in the community to improve responses to victims of modern slavery thus creating lasting structural change

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as we take our fundraising plans to the next level.

As we enter our seventh year as a charity and our work established within West Wales, we are now getting set to fulfil our mission that all children, wherever they reside in Wales, should be able to access the right support, at the right time.

Our fundraising Officer role is being created to develop and lead across all aspects of fundraising and is an exciting position for someone with fundraising experience looking for a new challenge. Working with a small but growing team of volunteers and staff you will have an opportunity to put your stamp on our work and ensure we are able to support beneficiaries now and in the future. The role is offered full or part-time and with the flexibility of office based at our base in Pembrokeshire or working remotely from anywhere within Wales. The role will support our work across Wales and will have regular travel around the country and meetings and work at our centre.

We are recruiting a full-time Funding Officer working across Birmingham & Solihull on a fixed term contract up until December 2024. 

You’ll be part of a team of 6, led by two Funding Managers and working alongside 3 other full time Funding Officers, as part of The Birmingham & Solihull patch which works within a larger Midlands team.

Ideally you will live in or near to Birmingham and have an excellent knowledge of the city. This role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from and visit several locations across the area, including your home. The ability to drive and have access to a vehicle is therefore beneficial, although not essential.

• You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
• You will have a strong understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and our funding products.
• You will also need to support our stakeholders, helping them to make connections that will help them achieve their goals.
• Being responsible for a pipeline of projects you will need to understand and respond to the diverse needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
• You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, support organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.

You will also need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, in a way that is in line with our vision and principles.

Job Purpose:

To provide support, information and guidance to end of life patients and their carers to empower and ensure that they have the right information and the right time to make informed choices about their care.

This is a demanding, yet hugely fulfilling new post in which the post holder will have overall responsibilty for the management and day to day operations of our new mobile support van. A large proportion of the post holder's time will be spent taking the van along with a team of volunteers on outreach to where there are survivors of sex trafficking. Our immediate priority area is Bedford. This will involve driving to sites of sexual exploitation and trafficking, such as the streets, properties used as brothels, airports and other places, as necessary. The post holder will lead outreach sessions supported by trained volunteers, in partnership with Bedfordshire Police and UK Border Force. The post holder will be a part of Azalea's frontline team (we call this Encompass) and will work with them to offer survivors of sex trafficking crisis intervention and ongoing support. The nature of this form of outreach will require the post holder to work flexible and unsociable hours (37.5 hours per week), however Azalea offers a generous annual leave allowance. Since this is a new role, the post holder will be required to use their initiative and draw on the knowledge and experience of the team to develop a full-time operational plan for the support van.

We are looking for an experienced individual to co-ordinate day to day delivery of the Best Years Project to include supervision of liaison officer, administration officer and recruitment and supervision of all volunteers who will provide emotional and practical support to individuals over the age of 65 with long term health conditions. The successful applicant will have experience of managing and recruiting volunteers, an understanding of the structure of local health services and the local voluntary sector and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a similar service or project.

Community Fundraising Executive

 Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.

In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Community Fundraising Executive to join our London based team.

About the role

You will support fundraisers across the schools audience, providing them with a remarkable experience and keep them coming back to the charity.

The role will focus on both retention of high-value supporters and acquisition of new supporters, with a particular focus on the Movember campaign in November.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Clerkenwell office. This role is being offered on a full time fixed term basis (12 months).

You’ll have the opportunity to

· Collaborate with Senior Community Fundraising Manager on school project plan, meeting targets.

· Provide regular data and reports on progress to Senior Manager.

· Identify opportunities for new school supporters, aligning with targets.

· Develop segmented reactivation plan for past supporters.

· Record supporter data and interactions on Salesforce.

· Manage day-to-day school supporter relations, ensuring consistency.

· Act as main point of contact for schools, with timely responses.

· Co-create reward plan with Senior Manager to enhance supporter value.

· Assist in developing engaging fundraising tools for schools.

· Represent Movember at events, increasing public awareness.

For this role, you’ll need
