What's the role about?
As part of the RSPB’s 2030 strategy, we need to inspire many more, and more diverse people to take action for nature. Community Fundraising is a crucial channel to activate financial support from new audiences, and the Community Fundraising Delivery Manager will be responsible for the delivery of our new portfolio of fundraising products and to ensure the Community Fundraising team is embedded into new ways of working.
The role will be responsible for the smooth running of the team’s systems and delivery of products, and the ongoing monitoring of best practices and compliance across the community fundraising operation. This is an exciting time to join a team that is redefining its income stream.
Key activities will include:
- Responsibility for the management and operation of current Community Fundraising team and contribution to the delivery of products that are in the delivery pipeline.
- Define, allocate and manage work and responsibilities to line reports in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Monitor and review the work of line reports against KPIS to deliver operational work and ensure budget and best practices are met.
- Contribute to development of expertise provided to the business, monitoring external developments identifying risks and opportunities in order to facilitate continuous improvement in delivery of the RSPB’s strategy.
- Work with other RSPB teams to embed existing and new processes and systems (such as CRM) to enhance efficiency and future-proof the ways of working of the team.
- Contribute to effective stakeholder management that facilitates collaborative external and internal relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
- Develop own skills and capabilities within Community Fundraising to achieve high performance, celebrating successes and promoting the RSPB’s values and positive culture at all times.
- Provide technical expertise and analysis of the external context within Community Fundraising products to ensure standards as well as priorities are developed in line with business need and industry trends.

The Communications Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering Make-A-Wish UK’s mission by leading the planning, coordination and execution of impactful communications across internal and external channels.
Acting as the communications lead across every day operations, this role ensures alignment, clarity, and consistency across the organisation’s communications outputs, storytelling and messaging. It provides strategic and operational leadership to specialist communications managers and supports the delivery of high-quality campaigns, partnership communications, and internal engagement activity.

Key Responsibilities
Communication leadership & coordination
- Lead the day-to-day management and coordination of Make-A-Wish UK’s communications activity, ensuring cohesive planning, consistent messaging, and effective delivery.

Make-A-Wish UK is looking for a proactive and organised Individual Giving Officer to help deliver impactful fundraising campaigns that support our mission to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Essential Criteria
- Experience of planning and delivering direct marketing or fundraising campaigns across a range of channels, such as face-to-face, telefundraising, direct mail, email and paid digital.
- Experience managing day-to-day campaign coordination tasks, including developing creative or data briefs, working with suppliers, tracking campaign schedules and reviewing copy or assets.

Core Purpose
The Individual Giving Officer plays a key role in delivering Make-A-Wish UK’s Individual Giving and Legacy fundraising activity. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager – Committed Giving, the post holder will lead on the development and day-to-day delivery of specific campaigns and projects across Regular Giving, Lottery and Payroll Giving. They will also provide support for activity across cash appeals, legacy and in-memory fundraising, working collaboratively with Senior Officers across the wider team.
The Individual Giving Officer will have responsibility for coordinating and delivering individual giving campaigns, managing day-to-day supplier and stakeholder relationships, supporting the development of supporter journeys, and contributing to income growth through effective campaign management. Key Responsibilities:
Campaign planning, delivery and evaluation
- Deliver planned Individual Giving activity across Regular Giving, Lottery and Payroll Giving products, coordinating the end-to-end delivery of assigned campaigns across multiple channels including face-to-face, telefundraising, direct mail, email and paid digital.
- Support the delivery of single gift, in memory and legacy activity under the guidance of the Senior Individual Giving Officer.
- Develop campaign briefs for creative, data, digital and telefundraising teams, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and deliverables.

Collaboration and communication

Core Purpose:
The Senior Mass Participation Events Officer will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of Make-A-Wish UK’s mass participation events portfolio, most notably the London Marathon, as well as other third-party and Make-A-Wish owned products (e.g. walks, runs, virtual events).
This position will lead on event delivery, support new product development, and coordinate marketing and supporter journey planning. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery, exceptional supporter experiences, and continuous improvement across the programme. This role is key to driving income growth, supporter acquisition, and retention through strategic planning and operational excellence.
This role sits within the Public Fundraising team who are responsible for individual giving, legacies, community fundraising, third party Mass Participation events, and owned fundraising products and events. The Public Fundraising team plays a vital role in contributing to our organisational strategic goal of developing sustainable sources of income.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Support the development and implementation of multi-year plans for mass participation events across a broad range of markets, activities and products.
- Lead on the delivery of a range of third-party challenge events, owned products and virtual events, including recruitment and onboarding of new supporters, stewardship of supporters, budget management, event planning and logistics, volunteer management, and evaluation and reporting on events, taking learnings forward to improve future events. This role will primarily manage the London Marathon, which is our biggest third-party fundraising event, bringing in around 50% of all third-party events income.
- Contribute to the innovation pipeline by identifying opportunities for new products and enhancements and supporting the development of minimum viable products.
- Evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure plans are data-driven and aligned with organisational strategy.
- Work proactively to identify a pipeline of future support and new fundraising opportunities, varying across corporate teams, groups and associations, individual supporters and third-party activities, converting prospects into confirmed supporters to maximise income growth.

Event Management and Delivery
- Lead planning and delivery of a portfolio of mass participation events, including logistics, budgeting, and on-the-day coordination.
- Act as operational lead for assigned events and products, making decisions on delivery approaches, resourcing, and supporter experience within agreed strategic parameters

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.

About You:
To be successful as the Payroll Officer you will need to demonstrate proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within a medium to large organisation, along with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements. You should possess excellent numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, perform accurate calculations, and apply sound financial understanding relevant to the position. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
It would be advantageous to have experience managing complex pay calculations such as compressed hours, overtime, and varying pay structures, as well as familiarity with pensions administration and HMRC reporting. Strong organisational and time management skills, together with proficiency in IT - particularly Excel - and experience using FMP or Staffology payroll software, would also be highly desirable,

We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Facilitating Trainer to join our Lived Experience Training team, supporting autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities to co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Tier 1 Training.
This national programme helps professionals in health and social care gain a deeper understanding of autism and learning disabilities, leading to more inclusive and effective services. You’ll ensure that trainers with lived experience are supported, empowered, and equipped to deliver engaging and accessible online training sessions.
We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities — particularly those with lived experience of autism, learning disability or neurodivergence — and from groups currently under-represented in our workforce.
You will:
- Facilitate Oliver McGowan Tier 1 training sessions online across the Sussex area
- Support co-trainers with lived experience to prepare for and deliver sessions
- Ensure accessibility needs are met, including support with travel, technology and materials
- Work with the wider Lived Experience Training team to manage registers, feedback and session administration
- Promote inclusion, respect and empowerment throughout all aspects of the training programme
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Understanding of barriers faced by autistic people and people with learning disabilities, and a commitment to inclusion
- Experience delivering online training sessions, ideally in health, social care or education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — especially in remote settings
- The ability to balance co-trainers’ support needs with those of learners
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and adapting to different environments
