Responsibilities:
Training Coordination & Scheduling

• Managing the end‑to‑end training workflow from confirmed booking through to completion.
• Coordinating scheduling, allocating trainers and maintaining an accurate training calendar.
• Ensuring all training logistics are organised effectively and delivered smoothly.

Client Communication & Delivery Support

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, timely and professional communication.
• Sending joining instructions, reminders and follow-ups.
• Supporting post‑training activity, including evaluations, certificates and follow‑up communications.

Financial & Administrative Processes

• Issuing and tracking contracts and invoices, ensuring timely completion and escalation where required.
• Tracking trainer costs and expenses, maintaining accurate financial records.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintaining a central ‘source of truth’ tracker across all training activity.
• Producing light-touch reports on delivery, pipeline and activity.
• Ensuring all records are accurate, up to date and aligned with internal processes.

Continuous Improvement & Team Support

• Supporting the ongoing refinement of processes and templates.
• Providing reliable, consistent administrative support to enable the wider team to focus on strategic work.

Requirements:

• Strong administrative or coordination experience, ideally within training, events or operations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of processes.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, client‑focused approach.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and tracking systems.
• A reliable, proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.

Experience within a psychology-based environment or familiarity with sensitive subject matter would be advantageous.

The Yehudi Menuhin School is seeking to appoint a Trusts and Foundations Manager to support the achievement of The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic goals by generating income from trusts and foundations of a wide range of sizes and interests, as well as statutory funders, meeting agreed financial targets.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Fundraising

• Develop relationships with potential Trusts and Foundations partners.
• Research new trusts and analyse their giving potential and funding priorities and fulfil due diligence requirements.
• Identify and secure opportunities to support the School’s fundraising campaign.
• Liaise directly with key contacts in trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies to establish important dates and criteria in order to strengthen applications.
• Implement all agreed actions with these trusts, including writing and submitting proposals, reports and other relevant information.
• Identify fundable elements of YMS’s work; source and collate information on this work; and package and present it in formations which are suitable for a range of current funders and new prospects.
• Liaise with relevant colleagues within YMS on the development of new projects, identify potential trust and foundation funders for proposed new work.

Donor Stewardship and Development

• Manage The Yehudi Menuhin School’s relationships with a portfolio of existing Trusts and Foundations, whose grants range from 4 to 6 figures.
• Create and regularly review tailored development plans for each allocated trust, identifying and analysing key information to inform actions aimed at maintaining or increasing these trusts’ support.
• Monitor restricted spend alongside colleagues in the finance team and project leaders, to ensure all trust and foundation funds are spent in accordance with the terms of the grant.
• Ensure invitations are issued to appropriate YMS events and accompany invitees to event.

Planning and Reporting

• Develop and monitor income and activity plans for donors and projects.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of donor details and communications on YMS’ fundraising database (Spektrix).
• Contribute to annual target and budget setting.

General Responsibilities

• Understand and support the mission and strategic aims of The Yehudi Menuhin School.
• Contribute to the development of the overall fundraising strategy for The Yehudi Menuhin School.
• Be aware of and abide by all Yehudi Menuhin School policies and procedures.

Person Specification 

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

• Substantial, demonstrable experience as a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser, preferably in the cultural or education sector, securing 5 and 6-figure grants.
• Demonstrable experience of the whole cycle of T&F fundraising, from initial prospect research through to generating meetings and securing income to achieve targets.
• Exceptional copy-writing skills and the ability to convey a case for support in a way that maximises success.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate orally to a wide range of audiences with confidence.
• Experience initiating, developing and managing long-term relationships with funders to maximise engagement with the charity’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Knowledge and understanding of and adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice and relevant data legislation.
• Experience and proficiency using a CRM database (preferably Spektrix).
• Strong financial acumen and experience of working with budgets.
• Knowledge of key funders in the cultural and/or education sectors.
• Qualification in fundraising or marketing-related discipline preferred.

Person Specification

• An excellent writer, experienced at telling engaging stories and building persuasive cases for support.
• Driven and highly self-motivated. You will have a proven track record of securing significant grants (five figures and above) and experience of working with a range of trusts and foundations, including large institutional funders.
• Enjoy working autonomously while still forming part of a highly supportive team, and showing creativity, flair and tenacity in reaching your targets.
• Have the ability to communicate complex messages to a wide-ranging audience, and an exceptional eye for detail are all essential.

Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Director of Income and Engagement, you will identify, assess and manage contract and funding opportunities. You'll lead the development of compelling, high-quality and cost-effective bids and proposals (including re-securing existing contracts), coordinating bid plans and bid teams to ensure a consistent approach. You will also support mobilisation of new contracts and services and build relationships with commissioners, funders and partners. Using insight, outcomes data and carers' feedback, you'll strengthen bids, inform service improvement and support the development of innovative service models that improve outcomes for carers.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong track record of securing new contracts and re-securing existing contracts, with experience of commissioning and procurement processes in health, social care or the voluntary sector. You'll have proven experience of leading bid development activity and bid teams, producing high-quality, persuasive proposals to tight deadlines, alongside strong senior stakeholder engagement skills with commissioners, funders and partner organisations. You'll bring a good understanding of health and care systems (including Local Authority and Integrated Care System priorities and pressures), plus experience of service design and improvement, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and people with lived experience.

About the role

We’re looking for a Virtual Fundraising Officer to join our Virtual Fundraising Team.

This role sits within the Mass Participation Team, an ambitious team that attracts and enables supporters to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer through participation in virtual or real-life events and challenges. Young Lives vs Cancer recruits around 11,500 virtual fundraisers a year. For many of these supporters this is their first interaction with Young Lives vs Cancer and shows that virtual fundraising can be just the beginning of a relationship with a new supporter. 

The Virtual Fundraising Officer is responsible for the delivery and growth of virtual fundraising challenges, ensuring exceptional supporter journeys and stewardship while driving ambitious participation and income targets. 

The main purpose of this role is to project manage several events in our virtual events portfolio at Young Lives vs Cancer, and when needed, support the Virtual Fundraising Senior Officer on the project management of the remaining events in our portfolio. This will include utilising a data-driven approach to analyse performance, optimise processes, and identify opportunities for innovation. Collaborate with stakeholders, manage suppliers, and create engaging content to inspire and empower supporters to reach their fundraising ambitions. Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant regulations, contribute to organisational objectives, and uphold best practices in fundraising.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Project management: Manage the virtual challenges portfolio, specifically the smaller events in our virtual portfolio from conception to delivery, and support the Virtual Fundraising Senior Officer on the delivery of the remaining of our Virtual challenge events when needed.
• Stewardship: Develop and deliver engaging, multi-channel stewardship plans to maximise supporter engagement, retention and income, including community management, creation of supporter resources, and implementation of second action strategies.

Our client provides retirement services to those who serve or work for the church. Both a regulated pension fund and registered charity, more than 44,000 people rely on them for their pensions. The board also supports 2,500 retired clergy with housing, including managing a national portfolio of 1,200 rented homes and Community Living options. 

Supported by a multi-million pound grant from the wider church, they are setting up a new function responsible for engaging with clergy at all stages of life and ministry on their current and future plans, offering access to grants to kick-start saving, bespoke advice at key life stages and tailored products that will provide people more choice about their future. As part of this new function, they are now recruiting for a proactive, empathetic Regional Adviser to deliver personalised support to clergy based across the North East region, helping them with day-to-day financial wellbeing matters, and retirement planning.

Working across Dioceses operating across the North East, you will proactively lead local engagement with clergy through structured, personalised one-to-one conversations, events and outreach, helping to connect individuals with expert advice, guidance, products and services that support their current and future financial plans. As a key point of contact for individuals and dioceses in your region, you’ll champion the needs and experiences of clergy, helping to build confidence about what the future might hold, and connecting people to the right information, products, specialists or local support. Business Development Manager

Hybrid - predominantly home-based with occasional travel

£39,000 - £45,000 (pro-rata for part-time hours)

Reporting to the Director of Income and Engagement, you will identify, assess and manage contract and funding opportunities. You'll lead the development of compelling, high-quality and cost-effective bids and proposals (including re-securing existing contracts), coordinating bid plans and bid teams to ensure a consistent approach. You will also support mobilisation of new contracts and services and build relationships with commissioners, funders and partners. Using insight, outcomes data and carers' feedback, you'll strengthen bids, inform service improvement and support the development of innovative service models that improve outcomes for carers.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong track record of securing new contracts and re-securing existing contracts, with experience of commissioning and procurement processes in health, social care or the voluntary sector. You'll have proven experience of leading bid development activity and bid teams, producing high-quality, persuasive proposals to tight deadlines, alongside strong senior stakeholder engagement skills with commissioners, funders and partner organisations. You'll bring a good understanding of health and care systems (including Local Authority and Integrated Care System priorities and pressures), plus experience of service design and improvement, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and people with lived experience.

We are working with an amazing mission-led organisation to support them in finding a great Helpline Advisor. The role would see you using those great listening and problem solving skills, and supporting people in crisis, and vulnerable people.

There is an opportunity to work remotely, visiting the London office on average 6 times per year for training and all colleague days.  If you prefer to be office based, that is also possible dependent upon your location.  You will work with other advisors so that you can support each other, and increase your learning. 

The role will see you managing multiple referrals at any one time.  Your comfort in moving at pace from one conversation to another, whilst ensuring that the information that you provide is correct and fully understood will be key.  You will also be learning which cases to refer to other areas and will not be owning casework.  There is great training in place, and the right candidate will be fully supported in getting up to speed in this hugely impactful role.

The ideal candidate will have a clear and reassuring telephone manner, and the ability to communicate complex information in a simple and client friendly manner.
