The Director of PSC holds ultimate executive responsibility for the achievement of our objectives in line with our stated values and policies agreed through our democratic structures.

The Director leads the organisation through a senior team of three Deputy Directors and is responsible for the overall impact, performance and culture of PSC. They will be confident in representing PSC to a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to members and supporters, politicians, national media, and large crowds. They will defend and advance PSC’s values, aims and campaigns with conviction, judgement, humanity and authority.

Over the past two years PSC has grown rapidly in size, profile and resources. A central task of the next Director is to maintain that growth and convert it into a deeper and more durable impact for advancing the cause of Palestinian liberation. This will involve steadying the organisation and deepening its foundations for controlled but ambitious growth in a context where the rights and lives of Palestinians are increasingly threatened and violated, and operating in a UK political environment that remains largely hostile to the Palestinian cause.

You’ll be working in a fast-evolving and commercially emerging space, where your ability to combine technical expertise with strategic insight will be critical.

You will bring strong experience in financial and/or ecological modelling within environmental or natural capital settings, with a deeper or more specialised focus on green finance and nature markets. This might include experience gained within organisations such as environmental consultancies, natural capital firms, or market-focused organisations such as Environment Bank or similar.

Comfortable working with complexity, you’ll be confident building and interrogating financial models, understanding investment drivers, and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be proactive, detail orientated and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of their financial operations. You will have experience managing payroll, bookkeeping and will be an experienced user of Sage 50. You will be collaborative, a good communicator and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. You will bring a high level of accuracy, work efficiently and be able to prioritise effectively.

You will be an experienced Finance Officer, who is AAT or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or have relevant equivalent experience. As the organisation’s Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, with a primary focus on bookkeeping, payroll and banking. You will also contribute to wider financial processes, such as audit support, and helping to strengthen the organisations financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Sage 50 Accounts, including sales and purchase ledgers, and bank receipts/payments
• Process and verify expenses, grants, and prize claims
• Analyse and post credit card transactions
• Manage and process supplier and staff payments

• Handle accounts queries from staff, trustees, and suppliers
• Prepare monthly payroll and pension contributions
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-focused and confident juggling competing priorities in a busy, professional environment. You will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent IT capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases/CRMs), and some experience in fundraising, philanthropy or the charity sector. The organisation is a leading nonprofit consultancy that helps mission‑driven organisations scale their social and environmental impact. Working globally, they partner with charities, social enterprises and funders to design and implement effective strategies that enable proven solutions to grow sustainably and reach many more people. Through consultancy, training and structured programmes, our client supports organisations to strengthen their models, build the systems and capabilities needed for scale, and create long‑lasting change.
 
This role is available on a permanent and full-time or part-time basis (4 days a week). The salary is £50,000 per annum. This is a hybrid role where you will attend the Southwark office in London one day a week, on Wednesdays.
 
The Training Manager will lead the delivery and development of the organisation's training portfolio, overseeing high‑quality facilitation across multiple programmes, translating business development scopes into project plans, and managing end‑to‑end training delivery. You will build trusted relationships with partners and funders, act as an external training expert, and drive the creation of new capacity‑building offers and learning infrastructure.
 
The role includes line management, coordinating associates, strengthening internal training capability, and ensuring consistent facilitation standards. You will sign off content, lead quality assurance, grow the training pipeline, develop proposals and contracts, and represent the organisation at events. You will also contribute to organisational learning, codify best practices, support recruitment, manage project and team budgets, and make informed delivery, communications, and partnership decisions.
 
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience designing and delivering training or capacity-building programmes, including stakeholder programmes. You will have strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt delivery to context. You will have experience managing projects end-to-end. You will have the ability to scope and design learning interventions in response to client needs. You will have experience line managing or mentoring junior staff or associates. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience holding relationships with funders or strategic partners, including ongoing account or relationship management. You will be comfortable working independently and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
 
Experience working in or with mission-driven, nonprofit, or social sector organisations is desirable. Other desirable experience includes: familiarity with adult learning theory or established learning and development frameworks, experience acting as a trainer of trainers or building facilitation capability in others, experience contributing to business development, including proposal writing or pitching, and experience working with funders or delivery partners in a training or capacity-building context.
