Our client brings joy and laughter to seriously ill children in NHS hospitals and hospices across the country. Through in-person and virtual visits and events, the charity's entertainers (from magicians to musicians, artists, fairies and therapy dogs) enhance wellbeing and help young patients and their families cope with the pain and anxiety of serious illness and hospitalisation. The Head of Operations plays a vital role in enabling the charity to provide joyful, uplifting experiences for seriously ill children and their families. Reporting to the Director of Services, you will provide direct oversight of systems, scheduling, compliance and day to day team management, ensuring that services are delivered to a consistently high standard. You will provide operational leadership, whilst remaining highly hands-on, and will work closely with Visit Managers, entertainers and internal colleagues, coordinating activity, managing staff, and ensuring robust safeguarding and policy compliance. You will ensure that systems are utilised effectively in order to monitor engagement, outcomes and organisational growth, and will produce reporting for the CEO, Trustees and senior leadership team to consistently demonstrate impact.

Our client is a leading Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling training organisation and therapeutic services provider based in North London. The role:
This role will work across all aspects of the foundation’s grant-making activities including assessing and administering grant applications from individuals, working with organisations to develop effective and appropriate reporting and supporting the development of new streams of work. The role requires lots of contact with Grantees (initially via email and telephone) and will involve monitoring & evaluation, project development and administration process management. This role will also contribute ideas towards planning new initiatives and keeping abreast of trends and issues facing the voluntary sector, both nationally and in the Lambeth area.

The work requires outstanding attention to detail and effective time management. The post holder will also undertake assessments in relation to grants to organisations, and other grant-making duties and functions as required by the Head of Grants. The post will sit alongside an existing team of three who also undertake multiple roles to ensure the foundation’s grant-making is consistent, focussed and effective.

The person:
This person will have a high level of intellectual and analytical ability, this could be evidenced by having studied to degree level, a professional qualification of some kind or having worked at a comparable level of complexity in a professional office-based environment. They will have a solid understanding of the issues facing young people (18 to 30) from low-income backgrounds and will have the ability to present clear written assessment reports, making recommendations and decisions and the ability to think strategically as well as practically, to ensure the foundation is living its values. They will have excellent attention to detail and will be an effective time manager. Ideally, this person will have experience of Salesforce database (or similar) and possibly have a local knowledge of Lambeth and the surrounding areas.

IT competent, numerate, and highly organised, this person will have experience of grant-making or at least an understanding of its principles, hopefully a knowledge of the welfare and benefits framework and will be fully appreciative of the issues raised in a multi-cultural setting and an understanding of and a commitment to, issues of diversity and equality. The member subscriptions officer manages the administration and finance of NCVO’s membership subscriptions. Key duties include running monthly renewals, issuing invoices, managing payments and reducing aged debt. The role involves regular use of NCVO’s CRM system to ensure accurate records and efficient processes.

The post holder will handle member enquiries, support new applications and maintain strong relationships with members. Working closely with NCVO’s Finance team, they will ensure timely direct debit collections and contribute to income tracking and forecasting.

This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, numerate, and confident using databases, with experience in financial administration and customer service.

Head of Major Giving 

Permanent, Full time (30 hours over 4 days) 

Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland 

Salary: £49,202-£53,252 per annum (regional) / £52,500-£56,550 per annum (London) 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced team leader and high value fundraiser to join at a pivotal moment. Reporting into the Director of Income Generation, the Head of Major Giving will lead a passionate and well-established team spanning Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations, Strategic Partnerships and Events. With 12 people in the team and five direct reports, you'll set direction, inspire high performance and play a key role in championing a culture of philanthropy and partnerships across the organisation. 

You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Major Giving strategy, driving significant income growth and pipeline development. Central to the role will be retaining and deepening relationships with loyal supporters, while attracting new, long-term funders; refreshing stewardship and cultivation approaches to deliver ambitious growth plans and ensure Friends of the Earth has the resources to respond to an evolving external landscape. 

To be successful, you will bring demonstrable experience of income growth and pipeline development, alongside a strong track record of motivating and inspiring teams to achieve high, sustainable performance. You can bring experience in one or more high value funding streams (Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Corporate Partnerships). You'll be highly collaborative, confident building relationships cross-organisationally, and an excellent networker. Experience of, or knowledge of campaigning organisations and/or organisations going through strategic change would be an advantage.

Prospectus is delighted to partner with our client to recruit a Connected Communities Project Manager. This role will be central to ensuring the smooth running of the Connected Communities Project, which provides a social prescribing service to local residents, helping them access local support and activities that meet their needs and interests. Working closely with the team, you will keep daily operations on track while contributing to the project’s next phase of development. 

Responsibilities

• Keep day-to-day project activity running smoothly 

• Provide line management support for our team of Community Connectors 

• Collating project data, feedback, and reporting for internal use and funders 

• Support planning for the National Social Prescribing Day event in March 

• Support future and legacy planning for the project to ensure continued effectiveness and impact 

Requirements

• Strong project management experience 

• Background in service management, coordination, or frontline support (ideal) 

• Experience with event and team support 

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams 

• Proactive approach, able to hit the ground running 

• Person-centred manager who is professional, approachable, and can quickly create rapport with teams and partners
