This role sits within the UK office of an international development charity, whose mission is to prevent and treat blindness and improve eye health globally. The postholder will primarily support grant-funded programmes in India and Vietnam, working closely with UK and international colleagues.

This is a junior, administration-focused role suited to someone with hands-on experience in grants or programme support who is looking to develop longer-term expertise in international development funding.

Responsibilities:

• Grant development and management
  • Support the management of a portfolio of restricted and unrestricted grants, primarily from trusts, foundations and institutional donors
  • Assist with the identification and initial research of new statutory and institutional funding opportunities
  • Support the preparation of funding proposals, donor reports and grant-related communications
  • Monitor grant compliance and reporting requirements, working closely with Finance and programme teams in the UK and overseas

Requirements:

• Experience working in or with international NGOs or international development programmes
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Confidence using IT systems and digital tools, including Microsoft Office (experience of Power BI desirable)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
• Comfortable working in a junior, support-focused role with scope to develop over time

This is a critical executive role, providing strategic financial and operational leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team while they recruit for the permanent position. During this interim period, the postholder will bring stability and expertise to the Finance and Operations function, effectively manage the team, ensure robust financial leadership and systems, while driving forward key organisational projects, including the CRM/data programme.

The Senior Major Gifts Manager will play a crucial role in the theatre’s new Stories Start Here campaign, building on the successful major donor fundraising programme, acting as the key relationship manager for a portfolio of some of the closest and most passionate supporters. The postholder will identify, cultivate, solicit and secure major gifts of £25,000 and more, working collaboratively across the excellent Development department. Reporting to the Head of Major Gifts, the Senior Major Gifts Manager will support Development senior management, Trustees, and the Development in their solicitation of principal and major gifts.

The appointed candidate will have experience in a fundraising capacity with a successful track record of meeting targets and personally soliciting and securing five-figure philanthropic gifts. There will be evidence in your application of relationship management to proactively develop a portfolio of prospects and of demonstrable prospect research skills. You will need to write persuasively in this role and will have experience of creating compelling fundraising materials.

Trusts and Foundations Manager

This role sits within the Trusts & Foundations team in the Relationships & Partnerships division and focuses on securing and managing high-value grants of £50k+. You will build and manage relationships with funders, develop compelling funding applications and reports, and oversee grant management and compliance. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and international teams, you will play an important role in delivering ambitious income growth.

You will have a strong track record of securing significant trust and foundation income in the UK and/or Europe, with experience managing complex applications from prospecting through to stewardship. You will be an excellent communicator, confident relationship builder and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering against ambitious income targets.
