As Trusts Manager, you'll play a central role in developing and delivering trust and foundation fundraising, managing a portfolio and progressing opportunities from research and cultivation through to compelling proposals and excellent stewardship. You will also line manage the Trusts Executive, providing leadership, support, and oversight to ensure the effective delivery of the Trusts programme. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery - building strong internal relationships, shaping high-quality applications, and ensuring funders receive thoughtful reporting and engagement.

The Role

They are the key staff link with the expert Grants and Impact Committee which oversees the organisation's grant-making for the Board. They also present to and participate in monthly decision-making Grants Panels drawn from community volunteers. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organisation's funding is a key responsibility and this person will be responsible for utilising and developing the organisation's CRM database (Salesforce), including playing an active role in its upgrade. They will work closely with colleagues in the Oxford office, including attending the all‑staff day each Tuesday.

The Person
The successful candidate will have an established track record as a Senior Grants Manager in the UK and will be an organised, confident and natural relationship‑builder who believes that inclusion is essential to successful grant making.

They will have a strong educational background, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy. They will also have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and support others to deliver on time (line management experience would be an advantage).  Fantastic customer‑service mindset, with empathy for volunteers and small organisations and the confidence working with databases and systems, ideally including Salesforce and a collaborative, solutions driven approach and a willingness to get involved across the breadth of a small organisation. They will be comfortable engaging with monitoring and evaluation concepts and knowledgeable or willing to learn about their application in a grassroots context.

This person will also need a natural enthusiasm for travelling across Oxfordshire and being out in the community on a weekly basis, a willingness to attend occasional planned evening events (with time off in lieu) and a full driving licence will probably be essential. They will either be living in the Oxfordshire region or willing to re-locate.

We are pleased to be supporting a specialist higher education institution in the search for a temporary HR Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience to work across a varied and impactful caseload.

Working closely with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders, this role provides high‑quality, practical advice across the full employee lifecycle, supporting managers to navigate people matters confidently, compliantly and consistently.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

Employee Relations & Advisory Support

• Providing professional advice and support across a broad range of employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, conduct, grievance, capability and dignity at work cases.
• Supporting managers with disciplinary, grievance and change‑related processes in line with policy, procedure and employment legislation.
• Advising on occupational health referrals, interpreting reports and supporting managers to implement recommendations.

Policy, Contracts & Casework

• Supporting the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
• Managing the fixed‑term contracts process, including tracking end dates, coordinating extensions or terminations, issuing documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Advising on family‑friendly leave, flexible and hybrid working arrangements, career breaks and related processes, including the production of maternity leave schedules.

Change, Job Evaluation & Projects

• Contributing to organisational change activity, including restructures, changes to terms and conditions, redundancy and redeployment processes.
• Undertaking job evaluations for new or amended roles to support recruitment, regrading and organisational design activity.
• Supporting people‑focused projects relating to contractual, policy or terms and conditions changes.

Collaboration & Best Practice

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider People & Culture function to share expertise, coordinate activity and ensure consistency.
• Developing strong internal and external networks to ensure the application of best practice and awareness of sector developments.

To be considered for this position, you should bring:

• CIPD Level 5 or above qualification.
• Previous HR experience within Higher Education institutions.
• Demonstrable experience managing employee relations casework within a complex, unionised environment.
• Sound working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, with the resilience to manage competing priorities.
• High standards of data protection, information governance and confidentiality.
• Digital confidence, with experience using HR systems and collaborative digital tools.

Knowledge of job evaluation frameworks, HR systems and UKVI requirements would be advantageous.

Our client is a specialist ‘by and for’ organisation providing refuge, supported accommodation, and wraparound support programmes for Black and minoritised (Global Majority) women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence and abuse. They manage refuges and dispersed accommodation across Newham and Haringey and provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive support including advocacy, counselling, immigration and family legal advice and specialist projects.

They are now recruiting for a new Head of Services, a senior leadership role with responsibility for the strategic, operational, and financial oversight of all frontline delivery across the organisation. Reporting to the Director, the postholder will oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of all services, including refuges, dispersed accommodation, immigration legal advice, counselling, and specialist projects. You will ensure that services are managed and delivered efficiently and effectively, are safe, high-quality, compliant, financially well-managed, and aligned with the organisation’s feminist, anti-racist, and survivor-centred values.
