Responsibilities of our HR Business Partner:
- Provides strategic people leadership and a high-quality business partnering service to designated areas of the charity
- Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, using data-driven insights to identify workforce trends, opportunities and risks, providing expert advice on workforce planning, organisational design & development, change management, employee engagement, talent management, succession planning and organisational effectiveness
- Ensure critical organisational design changes driven by the customer directorate is supported through from business case to change implementation
- Work collaboratively with teams across the People & Culture Directorate, the HR Business Partner provides insight and direction to ensure people initiatives are aligned with organisational priorities and workforce needs

What we’re looking for in our HR Business Partner:
- Significant experience in a strategic HR Business Partner role within a complex organisation
- Experience supporting and leading organisational redesign, restructures and large-scale change programmes
- Excellent influencing, negotiating and coaching skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge where appropriate
- Understanding of employee engagement, culture development, leadership effectiveness and inclusion practices
- Resilient, adaptable and solutions-focused, with sound judgement and a proactive approach
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead discussions, workshops and organisational development interventions

Making a better life for cats, because life is better with cats
Team: Lifeline
Location: Hybrid, covering the East Midlands region with frequent travel
Work pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: Up to £28,454.94 per year
Contract: Permanent
Due to the nature of this role, this post is for women only and is exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. This role requires a basic DBS check.

Responsibilities of our Lifeline Caseworker:
- assessing referrals and admitting cats onto the service
- providing pet advice and support to our volunteer foster carers
- working with other stakeholders such as pet owners, domestic abuse support services, and internal Cats Protection employees or other agencies
- extensive communication via phone, email and in person, as well as daily admin and extensive driving
About the Lifeline team:
- Lifeline is a pet fostering service for anyone fleeing domestic abuse
- the majority of our referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services.
- the service places cats into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners can be reunited with them.
- our team consists of a National Lifeline Manager, Lifeline Manager and Lifeline Caseworkers
What we’re looking for in our Lifeline Caseworker:
- good all-round experience of performing administrative duties in a busy service
- previous experience in a public facing role
- an understanding of the problems experienced by families fleeing domestic abuse with pets
- a confident self-starter who has had experience of working with volunteers and home visiting
- a full, manual UK driving license and comfortable driving a van
- good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities of our Proposition Writer:
- The Proposition Writer is a key communications role within the Philanthropy and Partnerships Research and Engagement team. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to bring our work to life, translating complex programmes and strategic priorities into compelling, donor focused narratives and materials.
- Through the development of bespoke propositions, investment cases, impact reporting and supporting assets, you will help connect donors and partners to the change their support can make, inspiring confidence, commitment and long-term investment in Cats Protection’s mission ultimately helping to improve cat welfare.
About the Research and Engagement team:
- We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
- The Research and Engagement team sits within Philanthropy and Partnerships and brings together prospect research, communications and events to ensure a coordinated, insight-led and supporter-centred approach supporting fundraisers to grow pipelines, build meaningful relationships, and maximise long-term income for Cats Protection.
What we are looking for in our Proposition Writer:
- Experience of developing clear, persuasive cases for support, working with internal colleagues to translate complex programmes or strategic priorities into compelling, fundable propositions
- Experience of producing high quality proposals and supporting materials for high value audiences, including Major Donors, philanthropic trusts and foundations, and/or corporate partners.
- Experience of working collaboratively across team
- Experience of delivering high quality written work with minimal supervisio
- Experience of managing a busy workload with competing prioritie
- Confidence working with senior internal stakeholders, contributing effectively to discussions around priorities, messaging and narrative development.
