Responsibilities of our Income Processing Team Leader

• To lead the team of Supporter Services Advisors, who are responsible for managing fundraising income processing, the efficient coding and allocation of fundraising income, and the accurate creation and maintenance of supporter records.
• This role will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to understand and develop governing principles of fundraising processing and administration of donations, to help deliver the best possible service to a wide range of customers, including supporters, staff and volunteers.

About the Supporter Services team:

• The Supporter Services team is part of the Cats Protection Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
• We answer queries from supporters about memberships, sponsorships, lotteries, raffles and donations. We also record and update the contact preferences of our supporters to ensure we only send communications which are wanted.
• We currently have a team of 11

What we’re looking for in our Income Processing Team Leader:

• Demonstrable experience of line managing staff including setting objectives, managing performance, conduct, staff development, induction and training in line with organisational policies
• Experience of working in an income processing role, preferably within a fundraising environment
• Experience of developing, monitoring and maintaining recording systems and procedures
• IT literate – proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases (preferably Care or similar)
• Knowledge of fundraising activities

• The Philanthropy Manager role sits within the Philanthropy team (part of a wider Philanthropy & Partnerships function) that seeks to identify, engage, secure support from and steward high value supporters.

• Identifying and cultivating relationships with high value prospects, either individual or Charitable Trusts and Foundations, and securing significant gifts

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and passionately

Team: Estates and Construction 

Location: Remote with regular travel in London and the South-East 

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri 

Salary: Up to £53,736.33 per year

Responsibilities of our Surveyor: 

- Manage a designated portfolio of properties, delivering repairs and maintenance as required

- Be a property expert for colleagues across the estate, giving high levels of service and support.   

- Oversee property works in alignment with retail and operations managers within agreed SLAs 

- Assess property issues and take appropriate action 

- Maintain accurate records across estate/FM databases and cloud-based systems

- Provide advice on retail/commercial lease acquisitions and disposals 

- Liaise with agents, landlords, neighboring occupiers, solicitors and local authorities 

- Procure and manage contractors, ensuring they are vetted and all work meets H&S legislation 

About the Estates and Construction team: 

The Estates and Construction team manage a wide-ranging and diverse portfolio that reflects the breadth of the estate. Within the region covered, the portfolio includes purpose-built cat adoption and homing centres (both freehold and leasehold), a network of leasehold charity shops, multi-pen sites, and a small number of residential properties. Occasionally, surveying expertise is also required for matters relating to legacy properties. 

What we’re looking for in our Surveyor: 

- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification

- Current membership of a professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB, IWFM 

- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment 

- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

- Working Knowledge of retail/commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals 

- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience 

- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k, including financial controls as EA or CA and contractor management 

- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties

- Strong Microsoft Office skills

Responsibilities of our Assistant Shop Manager:

• To assist the Shop Manager to maximise shop income and profitability through the safe day-to-day operational management of shop activity and key performance indicators, to support the work of Cats Protection
• To act as brand ambassador for Cats protection, being a role model for the values and behaviours of the Charity, taking responsibility for the shop operation in the absence of the Shop Manager.

About the retail team:

• Our retail operation consists of over 80 charity shops
• Each of our shops has its own charm and personality due to our dedicated volunteers and colleagues. From vintage jewellery and jigsaws to harps and handbags, whether our customers are looking for that 'must have' item or simply a 'missing piece'.

What we’re looking for in our Assistant Shop Manager:

• Demonstrable learning and experience from working in a relevant retail environment
• Experience and/or understanding of working to sales targets
• Experience of cash reconciliation and financial controls
• Ability to motivate and manage a team of employees and volunteers

• The Corporate Partnerships Development Manager will play a key role at Cats Protection by raising new and transformational funds in support of the organisation’s 10 year strategic objectives.

• The role will lead the Corporate Partnerships new business team, to build profitable, multiyear relationships with companies, ensuring propositions are maximised and new partners onboarded to the highest standards 

About the Corporate Partnerships team: 

• We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate. 

• The corporate partnerships team is split between new business and account management, made up of driven, passionate and dynamic corporate fundraisers 

• We currently have a team of one full time and one part time Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officers in new business. On account management side our team consist of a Corporate Partnerships Development Manager, Corporate Partnerships Account Manager and Corporate Partnerships Officer. This is in addition to a Lead Corporate Partnerships Manager who oversees the entire corporate partnerships team. 

What we are looking for in our Corporate Partnerships Development Manager: 

• Significant experience of developing relationships and raising money from new businesses and other corporate organisations. 

• A demonstrable track record of delivering significant financial results against agreed targets and timescales. 

• Experience of leading fundraising teams to deliver and drive income and growth 

• Significant experience of managing a diverse range of stakeholders and relationships at a variety of levels 

• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
