We’re looking for an organised, people-focused Support Coordinator to join our Ageing Well Information, Help and Advice Team (IHAT) in Brighton & Hove.

In this varied role, you’ll respond to enquiries from older people, carers, and professionals, provide clear and accurate information, and promote activities, services, and health initiatives that help people age well. You’ll also build partnerships with community organisations, coordinate promotional activities and events, and help deliver the annual Ageing Well Festival.

You’ll be working in a supportive and collaborative team, contributing to service improvements and ensuring our information is always up-to-date, relevant, and accessible.

JUSTICE is looking to recruit an interim Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to join our friendly, values-led team. This is a fixed term post for 15 months (maternity cover) and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of raising income from trusts and foundations. 

We are looking for an individual who has an interest in the purpose of the charity (to improve the UK justice system so that it is fair and within everyone’s reach), as well as a keen interest in taking responsibility for raising income from new and existing trusts and foundations and stewarding grants. This is an exciting time to join JUSTICE as we focus on a period of growth, looking to expand our reach out of London and internationally.  This role will really suit someone who enjoys identifying and then building relationships with funders, has great writing skills, has experience of securing five to six figure grants, is comfortable with a degree of autonomy and who thrives in this competitive fundraising environment. 

Around one-third of JUSTICE’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship. 

This role sits within an enthusiastic and supportive Development Team. The role works closely with the Director of Development and Policy Team, who are committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success, to put together engaging applications and grant reports. The post-holder will also collaborate with other fundraising colleagues, while enjoying a high level of autonomy in contributing to the long-term direction of JUSTICE’s Strategy.

JUSTICE is a law reform and human rights organisation, working to improve processes and policies to support everyone, particularly marginalised groups, be able to seek justice or a remedy when their rights have been breached or the law has been broken. We also seek to improve the justice system as a whole, ensuring that laws are clear and consistent and that the government and other key decisionmakers are held to account.

We are a founding member of The Justice Hub, which is situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral. in London. We also have staff based in other locations including in Manchester, Sheffield and Edinburgh. As a UK wide organisation, we are keen to support team members from all over the UK and this is a role that can be fulfilled in a hybrid way. Our London base has a number of hot desks dedicated to JUSTICE and access to meeting rooms and other spaces and we work alongside other like-minded charities in the justice sector as part of the Hub. 

All team members are expected to join the ‘in-person’ days in the office (roughly 5 days a year) but otherwise we encourage and support flexible working. Alongside flexible working conditions, every member of staff is entitled to 27 days annual leave plus an additional two days of leave to look after your wellbeing and to celebrate your birthday. We also close the office between 25 December and 1 January (inclusive), which is addition to the annual leave mentioned above. We review salaries according to inflationary changes on an annual basis, contribute 8% to your pension for the first 2yrs, rising to a 10.5% contribution thereafter and offer generous parental and dependency-related leave. The primary purpose of the job is to engage and motivate supporters, raise awareness of dementia and dementia research, and promote Alzheimer’s Research UK's campaigns, fundraising efforts, health information, and research initiatives.

This is an important role, helping to drive Alzheimer's Research UK’s online presence, engagement, and impact, while staying at the forefront of digital trends and technologies. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Social Media Content Strategy Execution

· Support on the development and execution of a comprehensive social media content strategy, aligned with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s mission and goals.

Content planning and Scheduling

· Working alongside the rest of the social media team to plan content within our management platform ‘Sprout Social’ and ensure we are maximising opportunities across our socials such as Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

· Identify optimal posting times and frequency to maximise audience engagement and reach.

· Work with the in-house video and design experts to produce eye-catching and compelling new assets which engage audiences with our brand message, raise awareness of dementia and dementia research and increase our reach and followers.

· Work with our senior social media officer to plan and deliver impactful video content across channels. Identifying opportunities to optimise long and short form video for the channels.

· Identify and encourage the use of sharable third-party and user generated content which aligns with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s brand messaging to support creative campaigns and initiatives.

Audience engagement and Relationship Building

· Monitor interactions across Alzheimer’s Research UK’s socials, proactively engaging with supporters to ensure they receive a positive experience.

· Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining high level of attention to detail to the brand voice in all social interactions.

· Be a confident and proficient communicator, able to adopt an appropriate tone of voice for each of our different audience types (including the communication of complex or sensitive issues. Able to communicate sensitively on several issues in a timely manner.

Reporting and Trend Analysis

· Produce insight driven and eye-catching regular reports on content for teams across the charity, to communicate key successes and areas for development, using your expertise and knowledge about the platforms.

· Proactively research, learn and suggest ways to improve our ways of working and efficiency by utilising emerging digital trends, such as artificial intelligence.

Internal Engagement and Collaboration

· Support teams across the charity with their social content, identifying opportunities to share our research, health information, fundraising and other campaign activities; as well as advising on best practice.

· Work with the Social Media Manager to enhance the Employee Advocacy Approach, fostering engagement and participation among staff in sharing social content.

Learning and Development

· Stay informed about the latest advancement in digital marketing, social media, tools and technology. Actively seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge through the charities learning and development programme as well as external learning opportunities.

Compliance and Brand Standards

· Ensure all activities comply with our brand and data guidelines and meet the high professional standards of Alzheimer’s Research UK and represents the values of the organisation to the fullest

 

What we are looking for:

· Experience of working across social media channels for a medium-large size organisation.

· Experience of using a Social Media Management tool such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Falcon.

We’re looking for a support worker who will: 

• Support the Wales Mission Team in their ongoing mission to pioneer and create opportunities for children and young people, who are found in the 95% of those outside the church, to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus, grow in faith, and become sharers of the good news of Jesus for themselves. Our priority is to reach those who don’t yet know Jesus by helping them to connect, explore, respond, and grow. 

• Work with the National Mission Co-ordinator (Wales) and the team in the National Office to develop a wider provision for mission resources, communication and marketing materials in the Welsh language. 

This is a permanent role at 0.5 FTE with a salary of £11,970.  

What You'll Do   

• Administrative Support: provide administrative support to the Wales team with regard to arranging meetings, note taking, event bookings, internal communication and database support.

• Communication: communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in Wales in a variety of ways including newsletters, social media, updates to the website, supporter communications, handling enquiries from church volunteers/workers. 

• Welsh Language: support with translation and proof-reading to expand the provision of Welsh language mission resources and communication with supporters.

We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

As an accountancy qualification isn’t an essential requirement for this role, we would be open to funding elements of a professional accountancy qualification, pending the completion of a probationary period.
You will be contracted to our London, Haig House, Hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the Hub (one day must be a Tuesday) and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.
