The Head of Development will be a key member of the Social Sciences Development team within Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE), who will work closely with SoGE and DAE leadership to establish a small Geography team, and to develop a fundraising strategy that serves the School’s goals and grows its philanthropic support.

SoGE is one of the foremost geography and environment university departments in the world, internationally recognised for the quality of its research and teaching. The Role

As our eCommerce Assistant, reporting to the eCommerce Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day trading activity of our eCommerce Team. You will also help us to make the most of our premium warehousing space, by keeping our listed products stored in the best possible locations for easy access and smooth operations.

Specifically, you will:

E-commerce

• Set up warehouse locations for our new goods and products to support sales on our Shopify platform, ensuring they are set up correctly to maintain inventory.

• Support the eCommerce and Product Manager to identify opportunities to improve procedures and systems and support our volunteers with any changes to ways of working.

• Identify innovative new online trading and business opportunities to increase income, ensuring that these are raised with your line manager.

• Ensure all customers are communicated to effectively, and all posting and packaging is completed within prescribed timescales.

• Using ListingMonsterAI, produce listings for our eBay shop, ensuring that your KPIs are met.

• List appropriate items for sale on our Depop and Vinted channels, using your experience and training to establish what items will resonate with the demographics on those platforms.

People management

• Support our team of well-trained volunteers to ensure that they are operating in line with the expectations of the Yorkshire Cancer Research eCommerce team.

• Play a part in the wider eCommerce team and work to ensure that targets are met across the whole function, providing support to peers and managers, as and when required.

Financials

• Deliver the eCommerce budgets and KPIs.

• Consistently deliver the listing targets to ensure that there is a constant flow of new products online to drive interest and maintain the eBay algorithm

Strategic

• Ensure that listings generate brand awareness through adhering to brand guidelines.

• Work with colleagues to monitor supporter journeys for online shop customers.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

What the job involves

The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.

You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.

The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating in plain English across multiple platforms including social media and our website. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was founded in 2009 after Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were attacked because of their alternative appearance. Sophie later died from her injuries. The Foundation was created by Sophie’s mother Sylvia to address prejudice against alternative subcultures and to promote understanding and tolerance through education, advocacy and policy work.

Although a small organisation, we have big impact and reach. We advocate for the alternative community through policy and campaigning work and provide support following hate crime. And we also run workshops aimed at reducing discrimination and challenging stereotypes. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Fundraiser to help secure the charity’s financial stability and support its growth.

The role involves creating a fundraising function from the bottom up and then developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. Diverse income streams to be targeted include corporate partnerships, individual donors, grants and foundations, events and digital campaigns. You’ll work closely with the team, CEO and Trustees to ensure fundraising activities align with our clear objectives.

Responsible for creating and delivering a fundraising plan that meets income targets, you’ll identify funding opportunities that align with our mission. This includes researching grants, preparing applications, managing funder relationships and reporting. Building donor engagement through regular giving, legacy programmes and other initiatives will also be part of the role.

Maintaining accurate, GDPR-compliant records of fundraising activities and donor data is essential. You’ll also prepare reports for internal use and external stakeholders.

Job Purpose

The Public Affairs Lead sits within our Policy and Advocacy Team, working to build support for The Food Foundation’s work amongst Parliamentarians and to influence the government to help deliver policies that will transform the food system.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a small organisation delivering big impact on the political agenda around food. 

The Public Affairs Manager reports to our Head of Policy and Advocacy and will be responsible for planning and delivering our public affairs activity. You will spend considerable time meeting MPs and Peers in parliament and building relationships with their teams with a view to identifying potential new supporters and ensuring that The Food Foundation has a range of contacts that we can call on to support and amplify our policy asks and to raise issues when required. 

While this role is focused on political engagement, you will work closely with policy and research colleagues and with our communications team to share perspectives on which priorities it may be tactical to pursue at any given time and to understand what evidence is available to inform engagement.

You will also work closely with public affairs professionals in other organisations to deliver joint programmes of engagement work which leverage respective organisational strengths.

You will have excellent political instincts and a strong interest in policy developments, monitoring closely what is going on in Parliament and in Government, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in order to identify opportune moments to maximise political attention on the issues we work on and to galvanise support for policy change. 

You will work with our communications team to build compelling narratives targeted at different political stakeholders about the impacts of the food system on our diets, our health and our planet, and the need for evidence-based solutions.   In the current parliamentary term we expect a major focus of activity to be on securing a White Paper and then A Bill on food system change.

You will lead on developing and commissioning a range of briefing materials and reports for policy audiences and formulate responses on behalf of the organisation to policy development processes and Parliamentary inquiries.

You will think creatively about methods and opportunities for engagement in order to ensure that The Food Foundation’s messages and priorities are noticed and heard by policy-makers in a very crowded policy space, including by working closely with our events manager to deliver impactful parliamentary events.

You will bring a learning mindset to the role, assessing the impact of our policy engagement approaches in order to make continuous improvements.

The role will be a fulfilling blend of planning engagement campaigns, developing the materials and monitoring tools to enable delivery, and the practical task of developing personal relationships with key stakeholders.

A week in the job will look like: meeting with a Peer that is new to our work to brief them on evidence we have published and our current political priorities, completing a political stakeholder mapping exercise for a new campaign on sustainable diets to identify a shortlist of MPs to engage with, spending an afternoon in parliament to engage informally with passing MPs, pitching a new idea for a parliamentary inquiry to parliamentary staff from the Health and Social Care Committee, drafting an MP briefing for an upcoming debate on the Government’s obesity prevention priorities, reviewing next week’s parliamentary calendar to spot opportunities for engagement, attending a roundtable to share intelligence and discuss priorities for political party manifestos with other NGOs working on food issues, ringing round parliamentary offices to confirm attendance for an upcoming parliamentary reception, meeting with an MP that is closely involved with The Food Foundation’s work to refine messaging for an upcoming campaign.

The support offered to the child will be parallel to the non-abusing parent’s support and offers the parent a safe space to speak confidentially to their advocate.

The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will take part in age appropriate activities via various communication channels with the child. Business Analyst - Finance Systems Replacement

The RSPB is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Finance Systems Replacement project, a Board priority and a major digital change project. The Finance Systems Replacement project seeks to replace several systems that are over 20 years old.

This role will ensure that Finance requirements are translated and configured correctly in our new finance system. You will work closely with our Transactional Accounting, Financial Accounting and Finance Business Partner Teams to gather requirements and understand current ways of working. Through Technical Workshops with our new provider, you will assist in translating requirements and documenting our new ways of working. You will assist in capturing requirements for the data migration and ensuring accuracy of the data migrated.

To capture these requirements and work effectively with the Finance and DT Teams regular travel will be required to The Lodge. This will be initially fortnightly on Thursdays but may increase based on workshop deliverables. The role will be mainly home based with regular Teams catch-ups with the wider Project Team.

You will help teams to:

• Analyse and understand the business processes, problems or opportunities.
• Undertake research and analysis to understand how a business or business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology.
• Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, analyse the effects of change and define success measures.
• Identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective design, development and testing of services and business change.
• Make decisions related to prioritisation and minimum viable product by using analysis led insights.
• Ensure new products and services meet business and user needs, and are aligned with organisational goals as well as liaising with the technical and non- technical teams within the business.
• Understand any business and policy constraints that need to be considered, and assess the implications.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc).
• Attention to detail and ability to understand accounting systems.
• An ability to produce clear written communications and good interpersonal skills.
• An ability to persuade and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to find creative solutions.
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Experience of working to a standard project management approach (eg RSPB Project Management Framework, Prince II).
• Experience of analysing complex business processes and recommendation of areas of improvement.
• Good workshop/meetings facilitations skills as well as experience in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
• Experience of providing effective support and assistance to project team as well as to testers, by helping in developing test scripts and help in preparing and conducting UAT.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working with external stakeholders such as agencies and contractors.
• Demonstrable experience of developing and working in hybrid teams to achieve shared outcomes.
• Experience of delivering complex projects.
• Part qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACCA, or at least 5 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant Role.
• Experience of acting as a liaison between the business and technical areas during the design and development phases to ensure requirements are understood by all and all risks mitigated appropriately.
• Demonstration of good knowledge of usability methodology and framework for system development and a good understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join People team as People and Governance Coordinator. 

This role is central to the internal operations of the Royal Court, providing high-quality coordination and administration that underpins how we support our staff, deliver effective governance, and maintain a positive workplace culture.
