Job Summary
Advance delivers nationally accredited, high quality domestic abuse services across London. Advance's domestic abuse services are community based and include local authority commissioned advocacy services, co-located projects in a range of settings such as housing and children’s social care, and specialist projects for victim/survivors with different intersecting needs including children and young people.
As a Peripatetic Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will provide front line support across Advance’s domestic abuse services, covering vacancies across teams to ensure service delivery remains effective and consistent. You will cover a range of roles all involving advocacy and support of people experiencing domestic abuse; some roles may also involve co-locating with partner agencies, delivering training or undertaking triage and assessment work. Your office location and pattern of work will change depending on your placement however all roles offer the opportunity for some hybrid working.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and experience in a range of settings and would suit someone who is passionate about advocating for victim/survivors of domestic abuse. You will thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the diversity of working across a range of roles within different teams. An excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children is essential, alongside some past experience working directly with victim/survivors of domestic abuse.
About You
To be successful as the Peripatetic IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge of safeguarding and legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

CSAN is the official agency of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice affecting people in England and Wales. The key responsibilities of the Senior Migration Officer are:
1. To provide timely information to the CSAN team and the network on UK Government resettlement programmes and legislation on immigration.
2. To support CSAN’s work to improve public policy and practice on immigration, with compelling evidence from our network, and enabling effective participation in advocacy for a humane system.
3. To work closely with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales on issues of migration and human trafficking.
4. To lead the implementation of the Gubay-
funded CSAN Ambassadors against Human Trafficking programme, preparing and delivering programme materials.
5. To support cross-cutting key workstreams and alliances in CSAN, especially the Domestic Abuse alliance and racial justice, in partnership with the Bishops’ Conference.

The Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community-based initiative offering integrated support to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, forced marriage, honour-based violence, female genital mutilation, or violence related to sex work. Delivered in partnership with local agencies, the service uses approaches such as casework, Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy (IDSVA), and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to provide holistic, person-centred care. Its aim is to not only assist survivors directly but also to raise awareness within the community about domestic and sexual violence and the support available.
The role involves delivering tailored support through safety planning, risk and needs assessments, and one-to-one sessions, empowering survivors to make informed decisions and develop independent living skills. It requires working closely with multiple agencies to meet needs effectively, building strong relationships with community and statutory organisations, and contributing to good practice and policy development. Service user involvement is promoted through events, networking, fundraising, and consultations, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports over 3,200 children a year. About the Role
The Finance Assistant has responsibility for a variety of finance functions including the purchase and sales ledger, making payments to suppliers, invoicing Corporate Partners and Schools and reconciling bank accounts. They support the day to day running of the Finance Team ensuring that tasks such as posting invoices, reconciling customer accounts, supporting credit control and chasing non-payments are carried out in a timely and accurate fashion.
The Finance Assistant reports to and works closely with the Head of Finance and plays a critical role in resolving finance queries from Chapter One colleagues, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting internal processes and contributing to the effective financial management of Chapter One.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience in a similar position within a finance team and has good working knowledge of accounting principles and a basic understanding of income for charities. They will work remotely and will need to have access to a reliable internet connection. · The Policy, Voice and Influence Lead (PVIL) will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Coventry Women’s Partnership’s (CWP) systems change agenda to improve housing and homelessness options for women to reduce gendered poverty.
· You will be confident in taking the lead in this work while remaining in regular communication and collaboration with the partnership.
· You will help us analyse the systems, policies, practices and strategy around housing for women and their impact on poverty and create a delivery programme to influence and collaborate with stakeholders for change.
· Your attitude will be pragmatic and ‘can do’ as you carve a realistic path between confidence and caution when planning projects and delivery.
· Integral to this work will be drawing on members’ experience and expertise and the voices of women with lived experience (supported by a Women’s Engagement & Participation Coordinator) to ensure the partnership’s activities are delivered on time and to budget.

Our Merton Risk and Resilience Service is an integrated service, focused on mitigating risk, and promoting resilience, in children and young people (C&YP). Our service aims to reduce the harm to children and young people (aged 18 and under), within the Child Exploitation (CE) and Missing service area, and C&YP (aged 24 and under), within the substance misuse service area.

The role of Young Person's Practitioner (Risk and Resilience) is an excellent opportunity to make a direct and valued difference to the lives of children and young people (C&YP), who are at significant risk of experiencing child exploitation, substance misuse, or going missing from home.
Providing tailored support and guidance to children, young people, and families, this role will actively contribute to achieving high standards of care, quality, and positive outcomes - supporting service users to fulfil their potential, through consistent and meaningful participation.
Main Duties:
- Providing tailored one-to-one support, guidance, and interventions.
- Assessing the needs of children and young people, determining appropriate support plans and pathways, and informing risk reduction plans - supporting access to additional or specialist services where necessary.
- Ensuring that referrals, support, care, and risk management are of a high quality, with ease of transition.
- Developing sustainable joint service work with referring agencies, local authorities, children’s social care, and children and families services (CFS).
- Ensuring timely and appropriate data recording – including tracking, outcome monitoring, KPI monitoring, and assisting with the production of feedback reports.
- Providing consultation, information, training, and presentations, to a wide range of stakeholders, from varied settings (we can help to build your skills in training provision if required).
This role works in partnership with a wide range of partner agencies and commissioners, providing continuous opportunities to build your network and knowledge within the Children’s Social Care Sector. We will also support you to build service-area specialisms, in the areas of Substance Misuse, Child Exploitation, Missing from Home, or Families work. We’re looking for a social media and community officer to join our team and work across our large online communities on social media and our peer-to-peer support forum. You’ll be a key part of our day-to-day delivery of content and engagement and ensure that our key messages reach our audiences.

About the role:
As a Service Delivery Assistant you will be:
- Supporting the Domestic Abuse Service Manager to provide a high quality and responsive administrative function for the Ashraya male victims service
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries into the service, supporting the wider team and service with general administrative duties
