• Work closely with British Gas & other third-party contractors to understand their operational process for vulnerable customers, applications and referrals as well as any dependencies.

• Support BGET’s understanding of money and advice sector across England, Scotland and Wales, including sharing policy knowledge and sector developments within the 3 nations.
• Contribute to new initiatives with British Gas and grant giving programmes.

· Support the effective management of the Trust’s grant programmes across England, Scotland and Wales, including:

• Build & manage positive relationships with the grant assessment team and British Gas internal teams. 

• Providing appropriate support to ensure the direct grant programme runs efficiently and effectively, with grant funding distributed to budget and schedule.

• Undertaking both face to face and virtual monitoring visits of the helpline and application portal and assessment teams – including ongoing KPI and impact evaluation process, creating comprehensive follow-up reports including end of grant reports.

Reporting & Contract Management:

• Ensure all data collection aligned to current Data Protection regulations and use and storage of data is in line with the Trust’s own policies and provide reassurance to the Head of Services.

• Ensure accurate data is in place for year-end reporting, quarterly and including assisting Head of Services with quarterly and End of Year Board reporting.

 Reporting & Contract Management: 

• Identify risks to delivery and work with the grant administrator to help resolve any challenges with delivery that impact on the grant obligations.

• To work with internal and external monitoring and evaluation specialists, to gain impact and understanding of the effect of our funding schemes.

Knowledge Sharing

• Identify and develop opportunities to work collaboratively and share learning.

• Ensure case studies and other content is collated from grant recipients to share through our channels.

Please note the employee will be required to undertake any reasonable work or task requested by the Trust, this will include occasional travel, potentially overnight, in England, Scotland and Wales.

Responsibilities of the role comprise:
 
Campaign planning

• Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.

Press Office function

• Lead proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments and tracking positions on issues relating to NYA’s work.
• Develop key messages and positioning statements on issues in the youth sector and NYA’s activities, role and stance and promote consistency of messaging across NYA’s channels.
• Managing and responding to reactive media enquiries, providing statement and reactive ‘lines to take’, with the support of the Head of Communications
• Producing engaging content for various channels and audiences including press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and media briefings to elevate NYA’s profile and demonstrate our expertise and thought leadership.

What's the role about?

You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team to support our regional partnerships with Girlguiding. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of our key project outputs.

Key tasks:

• Design and deliver youth-focused nature engagement activities, including co-creating a nature and climate youth action toolkit and launching a Youth Nature Ambassador Network for members aged 10-18 to shape initiatives and lead their own projects.

You would be joining SEA at an exciting time, as we strengthen our approaches to inclusive survivor engagement and implement a new strategy to widen participation and reach.

STOPAIDS mobilises civil society, parliamentarians, the public and the media to influence decision-makers in the UK and globally on the advocacy impact areas outlined in our 2022-2025 strategy.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Media and Communications Manager will oversee the design and implementation of STOPAIDS' organisational-wide media and communications strategy that amplifies STOPAIDS’ impact and reputation across our key advocacy areas. This work includes providing media and communications guidance, coordination and delivery support to our joint advocacy projects with partners.

Our joint advocacy projects are subject to change, but currently include the Digital Health and Rights Project, the UK Civil Society working group on the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, the UK Civil Society working group for Unitaid and a new coalition to advocate on the future of the global health architecture.

The Media and Communications Manager will support STOPAIDS and our joint advocacy projects to achieve our advocacy objectives through identifying strategic media opportunities, managing relationships with media outlets, and securing external media coverage. They will also work with staff and partners to develop relevant high-quality media products and to develop and manage online communications content for our key social media and website platforms.

As a capable team leader, the Media and Communications Manager provides expert guidance to staff and partners, is comfortable coordinating and facilitating working groups and supports the leadership of people living with and affected by HIV. They also work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that media and communications strategies are aligned and complementary with other organisational strategies and priorities.

As with all STOPAIDS staff, and in partnership with the CEO and the Director for Development & Engagement, they will work to ensure the sustainability of the organisation by contributing 10% of their time to fundraising (to support with application and report writing) and other advocacy support.

The role has a six-month probation period.

This role will require completion of a DBS in addition to the standard pre-employment checks.
