The role

As Philanthropy Manager, you will shape our philanthropic strategy, develop a new prospect pipeline and secure long-term support from individuals, family foundations, and wealth intermediaries. 

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation, to identify funding priorities and opportunities for donors. You’ll ensure we develop and deliver a long-term philanthropy strategy, building and managing relationships with wealth managers, private client advisers and networks that can introduce and connect donors to Family Fund. 

You will accurately record prospect and donor activity on our CRM system, maintaining clear pipelines and forecasts, and producing high-quality reports to monitor progress and impact.

We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to drive our philanthropy strategy forwards. You will be a brilliant communicator, able to influence and inspire, representing Family Fund externally as a compelling ambassador for our work. You will be results driven with a solid track record securing major gifts from donors and demonstrable success in building new relationships. Refuge supports thousands of women and children every day through frontline services, while also campaigning to change societal attitudes and influence policy to end violence against women and girls.

As the Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering Refuge’s legacy and in memory fundraising programmes. You will work closely with the Legacy and In Memory Manager to manage multi-channel campaigns, steward supporters with empathy and care, and help develop strategies to grow income and engagement in these vital areas.

To be successful as the Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive you will need:

• Experience working on successful legacy and/or in memory fundraising campaigns
• Experience working to and achieving financial targets
• Strong supporter stewardship and relationship-building skills
• Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge) to manage and analyse data

We seek a proactive Philanthropy Manager to join its successful Fundraising Team and lead the organisation's first-ever major donor programme. This new role offers the opportunity to shape how the charity engages with high-net-worth individuals from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the postholder will develop and implement a new major donor strategy and cultivate long-term relationships with major donors. The role will also involve working closely with senior leadership, subject matter experts and trustees to identify and engage prospects, host donor events, and steward high-value supporters.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and hands-on fundraiser with a strong track record in major donor giving. They will be skilled at building meaningful relationships and crafting compelling communications that inspire support. With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, they will thrive in a small but ambitious team and be passionate about the charity's mission to protect people and nature from harmful chemicals.

We have a great opportunity for a Trusts and Foundations Officer working the fantastic SOS Children’s Villages UK, reporting to the Senior Programme Funding Manager. This is an exciting role for someone looking to deepen their experience in international development fundraising, gain exposure to global programmes, and work in a values-driven, flexible environment.

As part of this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of small to medium trusts and foundations (up to £50,000), write compelling applications, and build strong donor relationships. You’ll also support the wider Programme Funding Team on larger bids, gaining valuable experience with institutional funders and international programme teams.

You’ll help shape policy, culture, and processes while actively contributing to wellbeing, development, and equity-focused initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Proven experience leading HR teams and strategy
• Supporting line managers with coaching, training, employee relations, and performance management
• Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and team lifecycle processes
• Implementing and managing the HR system (CIPHR)
• A commitment to equity, diversity, and staff wellbeing
• CIPD Level 5+ (or equivalent experience)

Key criteria:

• Experience in the charity, women’s sector, or trauma-informed settings
• Proven experience managing HR functions and teams
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Familiarity with CIPHR or other HRIS platforms (and a bonus of implementing a new system)
