Development and Volunteer Coordinator Lead

The Role

This is a new and exciting role based in Lewisham for a Development and Volunteer coordinator lead. The role entails managing a team of volunteers and Peer mentors to deliver a service to Lewisham residents who are experiencing Drug and/or alcohol use and support Peer mentors to distribute Naloxone to the local community.

They are looking for an innovative and creative person to develop and implement a buddying system and a telephone helpline which will be staffed by a team of volunteers.

They are based in Forest Hill SE23 which is 20 mins from London Bridge mainline station. The contract is for one year (with the possibility of an extension) and they welcome applicants who have lived experience of drugs, alcohol, homelessness or mental health challenges. The role is for 37 hours per week but they are willing to consider part time applicants or a job share.

· Experienced working in a lead or supervisory role would be beneficial.

Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic

parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative

therapies centre, in schools, and at home (online). We work primarily with adoptive and connected

carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties. We are a trauma-informed

service, and are developing Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) approaches in our work and

have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well

established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy and

narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special

Guardianship Order. We are developing partnerships with universities - Newcastle University and

The Institute of Contemporary Music and Performance and are piloting research based creative

therapy interventions. We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge

ourselves and our practice , seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. We welcome

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments

and interventions in our work with adopted and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) families. This

team is led by a Clinical Psychologist who will provide supervision for this role. The team provides

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative leader  to lead our work in the South West region of our England team in its newly formed structure to deliver a key part of this investment and ensure its success.

About the role:

You’ll lead and oversee the delivery of services and activities in your region to support people affected by Parkinson’s to live as well as possible.  You’ll be the visible regional leader of Parkinson’s UK, inspiring a multi-disciplinary team to work in an integrated way to deliver impact for our community.

This will require a clear understanding of our strategy, priorities, data, and insight, translating these into a shared delivery plan for the region, to build a community of support locally that meets the needs of all communities.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage the regional team of to work together effectively alongside our community, and deliver integrated team plans which reflect strategic aims and priorities, delivering impact and benefit for our community locally
• Ensure support for volunteers and local groups, and ensure that our local advisory services are fully accessible and reach all communities in your region
• Oversee community development to grow our services to ensure they are inclusive and reach across all local communities
• Be an active member of the extended directorate leadership team and work collaboratively with peers to support shared learning, development, and consistency across our UK teams

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of leading, managing and motivating a staff team driving collaboration and shared planning with the ability to provide operational and strategic leadership to the team 
• Experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including volunteers and local groups/branches and people who use our advisory services 
• Strong planning and performance measurement skills and experience along with the ability to use data to measure impact and drive improvement 
• A commitment to developing our work so that it reflects the diversity of our communities and is inclusive 
• Knowledge of health and social care structures and services relevant to people affected by Parkinson’s, and experience of partnership working particularly within multi-disciplinary health and social care settings

AAUK are seeking an experienced CO-CEO Office Liaison and Internal Communications Lead. This role is responsible for running the office of the Co-CEOs, internal communication and engagement activities across ActionAid UK.  The role will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Co-CEO office enabling the Co-CEOs to effectively manage their workload and focus on strategic responsibilities in their dual roles as Co-CEOs and Directors. 

The post holder will lead on key Co-CEOs projects and deliverables in collaboration with relevant subject matter experts across the organisation. Develop the organisation’s internal communications and engagement strategy, in line with the overall People & Culture Strategy, policies and best practice. Lead and implement a programme of internal communications and engagement initiatives that ensures AAUK staff feel connected to and engaged with the mission and objectives of the organisation, and boosts staff engagement levels. Responsible for ensuring all comms and engagement activities are promoting our feminist principles, anti-racist and decol agenda and contributing to the overall staff experience and employee proposition as an employer of choice.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be asked to participate in criminal records checks at the point of offer.
