What you’ll do
Working in the Applied Research and Evaluation division, the you will focus on mental health and wellbeing initiatives in local authorities and services. Key projects include income support for families in social care, strategies to reduce youth crime and violence, and mixed-methods research in child mental health, particularly in schools. Responsibilities involve managing projects, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, reviewing literature, and disseminating findings
What you’ll bring
As a highly organised research professional, you will have a background in health or social sciences, and experience in conducting ethical research and engaging with vulnerable populations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Degree in health or social sciences or substantial experience as a Research Assistant;
- Proven experience in managing research processes including ethics approval, data collection, and analysis;
- Skilled in working with children and families, particularly in sensitive contexts, to facilitate study participation;
- Competent in using statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS) for data cleaning, management, and output generation;
- Strong planning abilities across multiple projects and excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
Key details
Hours: There are two positions available: 1) 28 hours per week; 2) 35 hours per week. Usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.
Salary: £34,611 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme

Join our Legacy Administration Team and manage a varied and active caseload of specific, residuary, and reversionary bequests. This is a pivotal role, helping to ensure that every gift left to Marie Curie is handled with care, accuracy, and respect — enabling us to continue delivering our essential services.
Legacy income is one of the most significant sources of funding for our charity. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and maximising that income through diligent case management, effective communication with solicitors and executors, and a firm understanding of probate law and best practice. Your work directly contributes to our ability to care for people affected by terminal illness.
Experience across all UK jurisdictions is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of specific, residuary, and reversionary legacies across the UK.
- Ensure Marie Curie receives its full legal entitlement, in line with Wills and settlements.
- Handle correspondence efficiently, updating records on our FirstClass 4 database and meeting internal service standards.
- Act as the lead charity where appropriate and liaise with co-beneficiaries.
- Monitor and progress open cases to ensure timely completion.
- Review estate accounts carefully, ensuring accuracy and appropriate application of tax exemptions.
- Obtain tax deduction certificates where cost-effective to do so.
- Ensure funds are allocated correctly to restricted or unrestricted purposes as specified in Wills.
- Comply with Law Society guidelines regarding Non-Contentious Costs.
- Represent Marie Curie’s interests in shared estates and collaborate with legal professionals and the public.

SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project.
Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world.
The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.
In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.
The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.
In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.
You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.
The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. THE RESPONSIBILITES
SHiFT’s Data Analyst has responsibility for:
Data Collection and Management
- Support the effective use of SHiFT’s Salesforce system, ensuring accurate, timely data entry and maintenance across local Practices.
- Assist members of our local Practice Teams (Practice Coordinators and Guides) with data queries and monthly surveys.
- Coordinate and quality-assure monthly data submissions, working closely with Practice teams to ensure consistency and completeness.
- Help to develop reporting tools, dashboards, or templates on and off Salesforce to support embedding learning back into practice and more widely to contribute to our ambitions for systems change.
System Improvement and Efficiency
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline data processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SHiFT’s Salesforce configuration, in collaboration with external developers and internal users.
- Help document processes and support training materials for system users.
- Navigate and innovate with different systems, including understanding the data recording systems used by Local Authorities and working with the Learning and Practice team to reduce duplication of data entry for practitioners.
Learning and Insight Generation
- Produce routine reports and data summaries for internal use, feeding into learning and influencing conversations.
- Support the Learning Team’s efforts to use data for reflection, learning, and improvement both locally and nationally.
- Contribute to longer-term work exploring integration of data across education, youth justice, social care, and health systems.

Parallel is a small but ambitious charitable initiative doing big things: we currently support over 3,000 students through our maths enrichment activities, around 500 of whom receive dedicated weekly, small-group online tutorials in The Parallel Academy. The Role
We are rapidly expanding our service provision over the coming months, and are seeking a full or part-time Project Administrator to join our passionate and energetic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and help embed the tools and processes for reaching thousands more students each year.
This is a versatile role with responsibilities ranging from database management to setting up online events and communicating with service users, schools and tutoring staff. Hours

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

There will be a two-stage interview process with first stage taking place online on Monday 4th August 2025. Please note that the interview date and location have been specifically chosen according to the availability of the panel.
The second stage will take place on Wednesday 6th August 2025 and will be held online.
