As Philanthropy Lead, you will take ownership of a high-value donor portfolio, securing and stewarding five and six figure gifts while driving forward a donor-centric fundraising strategy.

The IPNEd Secretariat’s role is to ensure that IPNEd members can exercise their unique functions as Members of Parliament as effectively as possible to accelerate educational progress. Timely and effective internal and external communication is central to this work.

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Communications Officer to lead the delivery of content to expand IPNEd’s reach, grow audiences, and drive meaningful engagement with MPs and our wider stakeholders. 

You will develop and implement strategies to strengthen IPNEd’s communications channels, collaborate with our partners to design and implement communication strategies, and support our global priorities.

The role also involves supporting internal communications with our parliamentary membership, including maintaining our membership database.

Essential skills and experience

Salary, benefits, and other key information

IPNEd is hosted by Results UK. The line manager for this role will be IPNEd’s Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser.

1. Starting date 

The position is available immediately, and is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the intention of being extended if funding permits.

2. Salary 

This role is graded at Results Professional Level Two with a salary of £32,785 per annum.

3. Hours of work

This is a full time role 35 hours a week. These hours will be worked as agreed with the line manager, but some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the job. There is no paid overtime, but Results UK offers a flexitime system for all staff. 

4. Holidays 

25 days per year plus bank holidays. Holidays increase by one day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days. Holidays are earned in arrears. 

5. Notice Period and Probationary Period

This role has a one-month notice period. The employee will have a probationary period of three months, during which time the notice period is one week.

6. Location

The post is a hybrid role with the expectation that the postholder can work from Results’ office at Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, 6 St George’s Circus, London, SE1 6FE when required.

Currently, most Results UK staff are combining working from home with time in the office. 

7. Travel

Occasional International travel will be required. The post holder must be able and willing to travel to Global North and Global South countries.

Job Title: Programme Lead (Path Protection)

The Ramblers are looking for a proactive Programme Lead to help us open and protect paths, so more people can enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors.

This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.

You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.

Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.

Key responsibilities

· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.

· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.

· Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.

· Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.

· Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.

· Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with partner organisations and those working to improve access and reduce barriers to becoming active outdoors.

· Train and support volunteers – and promote the programme more widely.

· Provide advice and guidance to the public on path protection issues.

· Engage diverse audiences from communities facing additional barriers to getting outdoors, to senior stakeholders including funders and other strategic external partners.

· Directly deliver Path Protection events to support the continued development and co-production of the programme.

· Work closely with Nations Directors, Community Development Officers and the Fundraising team to secure the support required to sustain and grow the programme.

· Ensure robust risk management systems are in place to ensure the safety of participants.

· Ensure programme compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

· Review the programme annually to identify lessons learned or areas for development to drive continuous improvement.

The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC), a learned society, is a charity and company limited by guarantee and registered in the UK. ISAC is a federation of Member Societies and delivers education via a number of different modalities including an in-person congress, peer reviewed journals and an online academy. Over recent months, ISAC carried out a strategy review and is now progressing priority strategic objectives. As a result, an opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer to advance a number of priorities under a general “communication” heading.

The Communications Officer will initially be employed part time (0.6 FTE) on a temporary basis (12 months). They will be line managed by the ISAC CEO and must be able to work within a pre-existing team. Principle duties and responsibilities will be to assist the Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the areas of Member Society and Industry engagement. Additional duties will include helping to develop SOPs to operationalise  ISAC’s Communication Strategy, populate ISAC’s social media accounts, contribute to the redesign of ISAC’s website and provide cover for the CEO and Executive Officer, as required.

1.2.8 Facilitate discussions and negotiations as they develop.

The Communications Officer will:

1.3.2 Produce an external communications plan for the Society to include all aspects of communication if required to include a strategy (24 month cycle) for the newsletter.

1.3.3 Produce and maintain a database of E-mail addresses and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

1.3.4 Design, construct and disseminate a regular newsletter under the guidance of the CEO.

1.3.5 Take overall responsibility for communication under the guidance and supervision of the CEO.

1.4 Website

The Communications Officer will:

1.4.1 Provide recommendations on redesign and usability of ISAC’s current website.

1.4.2 Be responsible for updating the design and content under the guidance and supervision of the CEO / Executive Officer.

1.4.3 Work with the CEO / Executive Officer to establish requirements and access.

1.4.4 Act as the Society’s webmaster to update content as requested.

1.4.5 Proactively update the content on Member Societies, Scientific and Educational Meetings and Archives.

• Education to degree level.
• Previous experience in a communications role is essential.
• Previous experience working in international organisations is an advantage.

Across the UK, over 4 million children are currently living in poverty, driving increasing demand for essential items and support for families with young children. In 2024 alone, baby banks supported over 219,000 families, a 35% increase on the previous year.

And demand is outpacing supply. Many baby banks are being forced to turn families away.

Baby banks are community-led organisations that provide essential items such as clothing, nappies and equipment to families with young children experiencing poverty or crisis. They operate in diverse ways and often offer support and signposting in addition to the material goods, reflecting the needs of their local communities. Baby banks have grown rapidly over the past decade in response to rising levels of need. However, this growth has largely been organic and fragmented.

BBA exists to support, unite and advocate for baby banks: strengthening collective impact, unlocking national opportunities, and helping a fast-growing and diverse movement operate with greater voice, reach and resilience.

The Baby Bank Alliance (BBA) was co-founded by Purposeful Ventures, Save the Children UK, Little Village and the Bristol Baby Bank Network. Since its founding, BBA has built strong national partnerships, secured significant funding and goods for baby banks, and raised the profile of the sector through national media and corporate partnerships (including with organisations such as IKEA).

Currently incubated by Purposeful Ventures and Save the Children UK, BBA is now moving into its next phase: in Summer 2027 we will become an independent organisation and are on the journey to build the national recognition, scale and sustainability to meet growing need.

Purpose of the Role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead the Baby Bank Alliance through its transition to independence and into its next phase of growth.

This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing national organisation — building long-term sustainability, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring BBA can continue to support baby banks across the UK.

The role is externally focused, with a strong emphasis on growing income, building partnerships and raising BBA’s profile, alongside leading a small, committed team. Working closely with the co-founders and incubating partners, drawing on their expertise and networks, will remain crucial in the transition to independence and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Income Growth

• Lead an ambitious approach to income growth, increasing and diversifying funding to support BBA’s long-term sustainability
• Build and secure high-value, multi-year partnerships across corporate, philanthropic and trust audiences
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, ensuring consistent progress from relationship-building to secured funding
• Oversee national funding and goods partnerships that unlock resources for baby banks at scale

Strategic Leadership & Independence

• Lead BBA’s transition from incubation to independence, shaping its future model, governance and direction
• Refine and deliver the organisation’s strategy, turning priorities into clear and achievable plans
• Ensure BBA has a clear and confident position within the child poverty and voluntary sector landscape

External Profile & Sector Leadership

• Build BBA’s reputation as the trusted national voice of baby banks
• Develop strong relationships with funders, partners, government and sector organisations
• Represent BBA externally, helping to grow awareness of baby banks and the role they play in supporting families

Governance & Board Partnership

• Work closely with the Chair and Board to ensure strong governance and accountability
• Support the Board’s development as BBA becomes independent
• Provide clear and useful insight to support good decision-making

Organisational Leadership & Delivery

• Provide clear, values-led leadership, creating a supportive and collaborative culture
• Work closely with the Exec Lead to ensure continuity and strong delivery during the transition period
• Put in place the systems, structures and ways of working needed for a growing organisation

Safeguarding, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

• Ensure safeguarding is appropriately embedded in BBA’s work, with clear oversight and proportionate approaches
• Champion equity, diversity and inclusion in how BBA works internally and supports baby banks across the UK

Financial Stewardship

• Hold overall responsibility for BBA’s financial sustainability
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning and resource allocation
• Ensure funds are used effectively to deliver the greatest possible impact

Person Specification

Essential Experience

• Senior leadership experience (CEO, Director or equivalent) within a charity or social impact organisation
• A strong track record of securing funding and building partnerships
• Experience of working with Boards and leading organisational growth or change
• Experience in child poverty, family support, community-based services, membership or network organisations, or closely related fields

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will: 

• Drive sustainable income through a mix of commercial partnerships, membership growth, and charitable funding
• Develop and lead strategic and commercial partnerships, from opportunity through to delivery
• Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of programmes across our core areas of work
• Grow and engage a diverse membership across commercial and health sector stakeholders
• Embed strong monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to demonstrate impact and inform decision-making

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who can translate opportunity into impact, income, and influence. 

Knowledge and experience 

You will bring: 

• A strong track record of developing and securing income through partnerships, sponsorship, membership, and/or charitable funding
• Experience building and managing commercial or strategic partnerships, including identifying opportunities and maintaining long-term relationships
• Experience designing and delivering programmes involving multiple stakeholders, sectors, and/or geographies
• The ability to develop robust business cases, including assessing opportunities, risks, and resource requirements
• Experience growing and engaging professional networks, memberships, or cross-sector communities
• Confidence working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Knowledge of the mental health, healthcare, design, or built environment sectors is welcome, but not essential.

We are looking for an Information Officer to join our busy and supportive team at an exciting time of rapid change in cystic fibrosis and the information landscape. Changes in clinical care, treatments and the experiences and needs of people with CF have led to a dramatic increase in the breadth and volume of information we need to create, at a time when trusted information is more important than ever.

To navigate this, you’ll need solid editorial expertise and a commitment to engaging with and empowering the cystic fibrosis community through the development of high quality, engaging, accessible information, in print and digital formats.

You will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including factsheets, booklets, clinical guidelines, web content and videos aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams. You will make sure that our resources meet the needs of our target audiences through sensitive and meaningful involvement with people with CF and healthcare professionals.

You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. An understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF TICK) is integral to the role. 

This position will involve working on multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, being proactive in your approach and creating reactive information to address emerging issues. Strong organisational and time-management skills are needed, as is the ability to work autonomously, and also collaboratively with colleagues in the team and wider organisation, and a range of external stakeholders.

* If London office-based, you will be required to attend London Head Office 40% of weekly working hours. If home-based, you will be required to attend the London Head Office for business needs as required. Please note this is a UK-based role and candidates will need to be based in the UK.
