We currently have a permanent opportunity for someone to join us as a Direct Marketing Officer - Regular Giving (Lottery & Lead Generation).
As part of this role, you will manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns across our Regular Giving programme. You will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate agreed income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. You’ll also be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

This new role will oversee the development and delivery of engaging supporter journeys across a range of channels for Battersea’s Challenge and Public events, as well as our Supporter-Led Fundraising audiences. It will play a pivotal role in maximising event and supporter-led fundraising income, ensuring every supporter has a positive experience and feels inspired to continue supporting Battersea.

Your purpose
To support school recruitment by analysing school and trust data, identifying areas of opportunity, and holding early conversations to understand context and check alignment with our membership criteria. You will qualify leads, progress straightforward opportunities, and help ensure schools receive clear information and timely follow-up. Your insight will support targeted campaigns, pipeline planning, and a smooth route into membership.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who combines thoughtful desk-based research with strong interpersonal skills, and who enjoys turning insight into focused, well-judged outreach. Hold early conversations with schools and trusts, using insight as a starting point but leading with curiosity, listening carefully to their situation and getting quickly to the heart of whether there is a good fit.

Act as a thoughtful first point of contact, helping schools understand Voice 21 and decide whether joining is right for them, rather than pushing them through a process.

Progress opportunities through the early stages of the pipeline, moving confidently from research to conversation to action.

Keep pipeline information up to date, recording what matters (context, motivations, concerns, next steps) so schools experience a joined-up and professional journey.

Supporting Business Development through research and segmentation

Turn data and insight into practical targeting decisions, building named lists of schools and trusts connected through MATs, clusters, Teaching School Hubs or local networks, so outreach is intentional rather than broad.

Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of generating revenue through partnerships, training programmes, or business development. You might come from membership organisations, professional bodies, charities, education or healthcare settings, or from B2B commercial roles with clear transferable skills.
You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.
