Oxfam's Headingly Shop is looking for Shop Volunteers to help Oxfam’s fight to support the world’s most vulnerable communities.

We’re looking for volunteers who can give 4-8 hours (or more!) of their time in the shop each week, and we’re excited to welcome brand new volunteers to our stores!

Right now, we're looking for people to help in the shop in our stock room and with our ecommerce/online department!

About Alopecia UK

Founded in 2004, we work to help adults, young people and children affected by alopecia. This includes those with alopecia, as well as their loved ones. We are a small charity, with an annual income under £500,000, working nationally across the UK. Despite being small, we are the largest alopecia charity in the UK and have big ambitions to continue our growth and development, reaching more people than ever before. We agreed a new strategy in May 2025, and are committed to our key goal, which is to increase our reach, particularly in the communities that haven’t yet found us.

We have a fantastic and dedicated staff team (5.4 FTE) and board of Trustees. We also rely upon the generosity of volunteers, many of whom have personal experience of alopecia themselves. Alopecia UK receives no statutory funding from the government and is funded by community fundraising, donations, funding grants, and corporate partnerships.

The Alopecia UK Trustee Board are a group of dedicated volunteers who are committed to Alopecia’s aims.

The Trustee Board meets four times a year (two face-to-face meetings and two virtual meetings). Face-to-face meetings tend to be held on Saturdays from approximately 10am-4pm. Virtual meetings tend to be held midweek from approximately 6.30-8.30pm.

Trustees are encouraged to participate in charity campaigns and attend flagship events, e.g., our Big Weekend and Alton Towers trip. Trustees are not paid, but out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed. Trustees serve at least three years
 

We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and mission-aligned Funding Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will lead on identifying, applying for, and managing multiple streams of funding to support the delivery and expansion of our work. As a small charity with big impact, funding is vital to everything we do — from running support services to delivering education and campaigning for change. The Funding Manager will be at the heart of ensuring our sustainability and growth by securing the resources we need. You will be line managed by the Chair of Trustees, and work closely with the Treasurer and other trustees as needed to complete applications, manage current funding applications and report on grant outcomes.
 

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:

• Identify and research suitable funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and other grant-makers

• Lead and coordinate the writing and submission of compelling funding bids, applications, and proposals.

• Manage and track existing grants, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.

• Work with trustees (e.g. Treasurer and Chair) to gather financial and impact data for applications and reports.

• Maintain a funding pipeline and reporting calendar, ensuring visibility of all application stages and deadlines.

• Build and maintain relationships with funders, providing updates on Hidayah’s work and impact.

• Monitor trends in the funding landscape and keep the charity informed of relevant changes and opportunities.

• Advise and support the Board in developing a long-term funding strategy.

• To maintain clear records on the organisation’s shared systems (Google Drive).

• Meet regularly e.g. monthly or bi-monthly with your line manager to discuss funding applications and progress

• To check and respond to funding application emails promptly and within deadlines set for funding applications

What do we expect from the Funding Manager?

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience of successful fundraising from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders.

• Excellent bid writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate impact clearly.

• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

• Financially literate, comfortable working with budgets and data.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with others.

About TLDM Ltd:

TLDM Ltd is a Colchester-based social enterprise dedicated to tackling the most pressing youth issues affecting young people aged 11–16 in the UK today.

We work directly with secondary schools, youth organisations, and institutions to address:

• Safeguarding & behaviour challenges
• Knife crime & youth violence
• Online harm, social media & ideology
• Diversity, equity & inclusion
• Staff CPD, assemblies, and mentoring

The Role:

We are seeking a Volunteer Head of Sales to help drive our growth across Essex and Suffolk by building relationships with schools and youth organisations.

This role is ideal for someone with experience or interest in:

• Sales
• Account management
• Recruitment
• Education outreach
• Relationship-based selling

You will work closely with the Founder & CEO to help generate leads, book meetings, and support revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and research potential clients (secondary schools, youth organisations, local authorities)
• Build and maintain a simple sales pipeline (CRM or spreadsheet)
• Conduct initial outreach via email and phone
• Book discovery calls and meetings for the Founder
• Follow up on warm leads and past contacts
• Help refine sales processes and outreach strategies
• Track outcomes and report progress weekly

What We Are Looking For:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence speaking to professionals on the phone and via email
• Organised, proactive, and self-motivated
• Comfortable working in a mission-led environment
• Experience in sales, recruitment, education, or customer-facing roles is desirable (but not essential)
