Lambeth Step Forward Recovery Cluster is an accommodation based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission.
The role of our Support Worker play's a crucial role in fulfilling our customers expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Worker's are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers. An essential part of this role involves developing good partnership working with a range of professional's and maintaining excellent record keeping in line with our compliance management. More importantly, you will be required to oversee support planning, updating Risk Management Plans, and Keyworking. Applicants will need to be pro active and support our customers to enhance their lives.

What you'll do:
- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by Management staff
- Meet customers regularly for support sessions, providing emotional and practical support
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
- Develop support plans with customers to identify their goals, ensuring a person centred approach, enabling the customer to establish positive change
- Support customers to take care of their living environment, providing emotional and practical support to ensure customers enjoy a high quality accommodation
- Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
- Support customers to apply for benefits and manage their bills. Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
- Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

* Assessing referrals received by the service, within the 4-hour target, and providing rapid response to these.
* Inducting new customers, and helping orient them to the community and local area
* Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
* Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
* Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. Felstead Street is a CQC registered care home, which has a heavy focus on supporting customers with enduring mental health care and elderly needs. We provide 24hr high support to 24 customers both female and male. Our building is a purpose-built home on two floors, offering customers individual bedrooms and the use of shared communal facilities and gardens. The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust with the care contribution from London Borough of Hackney.
As a Support Worker at Felstead Street you will play an integral role in supporting our customers to making their lives interesting and enabling to manage their social, physical and emotional well being. Teresa House and Hamlets Way are two supported housing accommodations for adults with enduring mental health issues. Both services provide a high level of support to 16 customers on each service. Teresa House is a fast stream service where customers are supported up to two years while Hamlets Way is a slow stream service where customers can expect support for a minimum of two to a maximum of 4 years.
The service is under Look Ahead management since April 2015 and the buildings are owed by Notting Hill Genesis. As a support worker you will play an integral role in developing effective support and risk management plans. You will also support customers with aspects of their day-to-day living including but not excluded to; social and physical activities, medication, benefit entitlements, maintaining living standards, exploring employment, education and training opportunities.

We're looking for a Bank Support Worker Admin to join our human resources team located in Caledonian Road.
£23,933.00 per annum, working 35 hours per week on a fixed term contract of 3 months. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

Working alongside the HR Admin and Payroll team, to be responsible for the effective day to day running of Bank Support Worker payroll processes, effective utilisation of the Bank Support Workers, and use of Bank Support Worker portal to aid in the transfer to a new Bank and Agency system.

What you'll do:
To ensure the transfer of Bank Staff information to new Bank and Agency system.
To ensure we have accurate and up to date recording of bank staff on Bank IT system and HR system (iTrent)
To ensure ongoing compliance (DBS, Right to Work and training renewals) are kept up to date
To understand general availability of our BSW's to help managers find suitable bank staff for shifts.
To communicate key messages to our Bank Staff as needed.
To work with HR Business Partners and relevant managers if bank staff need suspending/removing from the bank system.
Work with Managers to review BSW hours in line with Working Time Directive and Overtime Policy to ensure excessive hours not worked
To complete BSW monthly payroll check and calculate salary top ups.
To work with BSW and payroll team to resolve payroll queries
To complete general administration of BSW references and confirmation of employment letters.
Any other duties as reasonably required within the role.
This role requires a basic DBS
