To ensure that health and safety effectively contributes to the Trust’s strategic objectives, to embed best practice across the Trust’s operations, and drive compliance, identifying improvements, and creating a safe, sustainable workplace. The role requires a consultative, collaborative and pragmatic approach to finding solutions and appropriate measures to support the Trust’s day to day activities and improve standards.

Legal Services Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Services Lead to join the Chief Executive's Office. Your role is to provide general legal advice; to act as commercial counsel, assisting in reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, ensuring these are fit for purpose and to manage any potential commercial disputes.

Role Requirements

• Providing accurate, relevant and timely advice to the organisation on a wide range of legal topics that relate to the organisation.
• Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing organisational policies and procedures as well as providing in-house legal templates.
• Ensuring compliance with all laws, rules, regulations and statutory guidance that apply to the business including any changes that may arise from time to time
• Drafting, reviewing, and supporting with the negotiation of various commercial contracts and agreements including retail shop leases.
• Providing timely, accurate and commercially responsive advice to CEO, SLT, senior managers and trustees on both a formal and informal basis.
• Communicating with and managing third-party bodies such as regulators, external counsel or auditors.

• Providing advice on the effective management and protection of The Children’s Trust intellectual property.
• Providing advice on the effective management and protection of The Children’s Trusts employees.
• Providing support with coroner’s inquests including instructing external counsel, liaising with the Coroner’s Office and conveying legally privileged advice to the SLT and trustees as appropriate.
• Supporting colleagues with the development and implementation of a contracts management process, contracts playbook (set of standard templates) and central contracts database.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Since the charity’s origins, Caring in Bristol has been powered by the input of hundreds of grass roots volunteers from around Bristol. People give their time and expertise to all our services in different ways, ranging from casual volunteering shifts to long term in-depth consultation about our work in their communities. This role will work across the organisation to build, strengthen, and sustain a strong team of volunteers and community participants to support our strategic priorities. 

The postholder will be responsible for leading on all aspects of our volunteering and community participation programme, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing the assigned budget, as well as recruitment, induction, training, support, engagement and retention of volunteers.

Our Volunteers 

We utilise volunteers and community participants across all areas of our work to support and enrich the work we deliver. It is important to understand the different sets of volunteers we work with: 

Winter – over 400 volunteers come together each winter to run our Caring at Christmas day centre and distribute food deliveries across the city. Caring at Christmas has a legacy of over 30 years and relies on a range of volunteers from highly experienced to completely new to the organisation. Additionally, during particularly cold weather, Caring in Bristol volunteers support emergency shelters in the evenings and mornings. 

Food clubs – a small but committed set of volunteers help deliver our Bristol Goods food support programme. We have a fantastic set of regular volunteers at our Hartcliffe and city-centre food clubs with plans for a new location soon. 

Youth services –our accommodation project launched in July 2024, providing four bedrooms for 18-25 year olds each night. Our youth team also run group sessions throughout the week. Volunteers are needed to provide invaluable support to these activities to ensure the young people feel welcome and comfortable. 

Co-Production and Consultation Participants – our committed group of community members are essential to shaping the way we work, taking their housing knowledge out in the wider community. They are often used as a focus group for housing/policy consultations, supported by our Outreach Worker. This work is established in South Bristol, and we are developing a similar group in North Bristol. 

Community Advocates – This is an exciting area of work we wish to develop and grow over the next year; training up community members on Housing Rights and routes for support, empowering them to share this knowledge, signposting those in need of support so to prevent homelessness. 

Fundraising & Office Volunteers – we often have tasks that volunteers can help with which help the “back office” of the charity. This could include helping to organise events, fundraising activities, stuffing mailing envelopes, stocktaking our food store or offering specialist skills /advice. 

Person Specification 

We expect you to meet most of these criteria. However, we don’t expect you to meet every point and welcome applicants with transferable skills and an ability to apply themselves in a new context. 

• Experience of recruitment or marketing opportunities in the charity sector 

• Experience of leading and motivating a team of volunteers 

• Understanding of co-production approaches and a demonstrable commitment to empowering community members

• Demonstrable knowledge of the motivations for volunteering and the different needs or requirements that volunteers may have 

• Clear understanding of the legalities around volunteer management and health & safety

Mind in Croydon (MiC) is a charity concerned with the welfare of people with mental health problems living in the London Borough of Croydon and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Finance and Resources to lead our financial and operational functions and play a key role in supporting the charity’s mission and long-term sustainability.

As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you will oversee finance and facilities, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and Trustee Board to deliver accurate reporting, strategic budgeting, and effective resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, pensions, and reconciliations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and prepare annual financial statements in line with audit requirements.

We are seeking a results-driven Acquisition Marketing Manager (known at Guide Dogs as Committed Giving Acquisition Campaign Manager) to lead our Acquisition team and manage supporter acquisition across key regular giving fundraising products such as Sponsor a Puppy and Lucky Lottery. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing plans to maximise income, meet acquisition targets, and ensure the long-term success of our campaigns.

You’ll manage and execute direct marketing campaigns ensuring they meet income and expenditure goals. You will also line manage and lead a team of Officers and Executives to deliver these campaigns, collaborating with the Committed Giving Product Manager to support their development. Key responsibilities include contributing to the wider fundraising strategy, analysing campaign data to optimise return on investment, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products, as well as ideate new propositions for testing. Your work will help guide people with sight loss to live the life they choose.

We value in-person collaboration with our teams and those we support, so the ability to travel to our sites is needed for this role. We’re looking for two Place Leads to help drive our work in Stoke-on-Trent and East Staffordshire. Each role will be rooted in its local area, but both will work across the whole county, helping us build more connected, inclusive systems that support people to be active in ways that matter to them.

That means shaping how physical activity is understood, prioritised, and embedded, not just in programmes, but in policies, partnerships, and everyday decisions. What does this mean day to day?

Throughout the process you’ll be supported and challenged by our programme team, an external mentor from the sector and a peer coach to help you make the most of the year. About the Role

This is an exciting new role which will help the Methodist Church in Britain to embed in the life of churches its commitment to be justice-seeking. 

In 2024, the Church adopted a Strategy to embed the Methodist Conference’s Justice-Seeking Church Report in local churches, across the Connexional Team and throughout the life of Methodism. 

The Justice-Seeking Church Officer will shape and develop this work across all levels of the Church in creative and innovative ways, identifying opportunities and responding to challenges.  They will strengthen leadership for justice across churches, and enable collaboration across programmes and issues. They will enable theological reflection and will lead on shaping the vital emerging work around participation of people with lived experience of poverty.

You will be a member of the Justice Team but work collaboratively with many others. You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in the implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.

In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:

• Developing and embedding key areas of the Justice-Seeking Church strategy in churches and the Methodist Connexional Team

We are recruiting a Manager to lead a remote team of IPS Grow Fidelity Reviewers working across England and Wales. About You 

Skills, experience and qualifications we are looking for include:

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail.
