We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Brighton - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 11,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

Purpose of Role
Group Facilitators play a crucial role in delivering a range of therapeutic sessions aimed at supporting the wellbeing of survivors of sexual violence. This role involves creating a safe and empathetic environment where survivors can heal and grow. The Group Facilitator offers empowering peer support, fostering a sense of community and understanding among participants.
Through these therapeutic sessions, survivors are empowered to regain control over their lives, build resilience, and navigate their healing journey. The facilitator provides valuable guidance, emotional validation, and tools for coping and self-care, and they serve as a compassionate guide, helping survivors of sexual violence find strength, connection, and healing.
Main responsibilities include:
- Leading group intervention sessions for male, adolescent, and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse, assault, and rape.
- Collaborating with the Group Work Manager and the organisation's safeguarding lead to effectively address safeguarding concerns.
- Documenting client interactions, participation, and identified risks using our client case management system and by adhering to organisational protocols.
- Formulating comprehensive plans for group sessions, further refine the group model, and conduct risk assessments when necessary.
- Prioritising ongoing monitoring and evaluation, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of outcomes to gauge effectiveness.

One-to-one delivery:
· Deliver a wide range of interventions, predominantly one to ones, embedding in a culturally informed and multi-agency approach to domestic abuse in the area.
· Ensure delivery is in accordance with tasks outlined in the RISE Domestic Abuse Perpetrator manual and process mapping.
· Adhere to relevant CIFA and other manuals and deliver programme sessions to ensure the integrity of delivery, which is overseen by the Advanced Practitioner and Team Leader.
- Apply specialised materials to support your delivery to racialised and marginalised communities.
Be responsible and accountable for working with Advanced Practitioner, Domestic Abuse safety advice and line manager to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.

Practitioners will comply with the appropriate audit standards when working with perpetrators in line with RESPECT or HMPPS’s requirements.

Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with service users to address their abusive behaviour.

Encourage and facilitate learning with participants on 1.-2-1 or group setting, including proactively working to elicit behavioural change and acceptance of their behaviour towards their partner, or ex- partner.

Work closely with other professionals to ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person. Apply RISE’s escalation procedures.

Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, mid-way reports, and End of Intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.
•
Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals and improve understanding on domestic abuse.

Ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention with a co-practitioner (if groupwork) in advance of the session.

Participate in and pass the necessary training to be able to deliver all interventions.

Assist or lead on the delivery of training courses.

Prior to delivering of Domestic Abuse Interventions, liaise and share information with RISE Domestic Abuse Safety Officers to ensure an integrated and culturally sensitive approach is applied to risk management.

Attend monthly risk review meetings with Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor and Senior practitioners to ensure effective risk management procedures are always applied.
Recording and administrative tasks:
•
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (attendance, feedback, mid-way and end of intervention reports) using systems provided and in line with performance standards.

Maintain an accurate audit trail of all relevant communication with partner organisations involved.
•
Complete specialist risk and vulnerability assessments, and reports as per templates provided.
•
Ensure completion of pre and post questionnaires in line with RISE’s Social Impact strategy.

About the role:
This role is based in the Victim Help Centre, in St Asaph, North Wales and working in liaison with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies.
- In this position you will contact Victims by telephone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment and commission a range of services to support identified needs if appropriate. You will refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers to deliver services to victims. You will also direct referrals to appropriate colleagues to allocate Victim Support workers for further support.
- You will identify and manage the victims immediate service needs and contribute towards risk assessment processes and following agreed safe contact processes and recording all contact securely.
- The nature of service required will vary depending on individual circumstances and specified outcomes will be achieved through building trust and confidence with victims who will be vulnerable and have complex needs.
- Level 4 Welsh Language skills and the ability to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

The AI Opportunity Fund:
The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.
This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. It requires strong project management skills, good grant-making practice and the ability to manage relationships with diverse partners. The Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance (the Alliance) is a group of organisations (Local government, A2 Dominion, Aspire, Connection Support, Elmore, Homeless Oxfordshire and St Mungo’s) that came together in 2022 to deliver single homelessness services across the county under one contract.
Services delivered by the Alliance include the city and county outreach services for people experiencing rough sleeping, supported accommodation such as the hostel O’Hanlon House, shared dispersed supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention services.
The Alliance is commissioned through a pooled annual budget of c£3.8m which all District Councils in Oxfordshire, the City Council, the County Council, and the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Services, contribute towards. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City are the lead commissioners of the Alliance.
As part of the initiative, the Alliance will deliver an ambitious housing led change programme which is seeing services remodelled to support and enable people to live in their own homes and fulfil their aspirations.

The organisation has two pillars: Programmes – which is direct delivery to young people from less-advantaged socioeconomic backgrounds to raise their aspirations and increase their access to opportunities, and Leadership and Advocacy - which covers the UK Social Mobility Awards; the Social Mobility Podcast, the Social Mobility List, our research function and a number of strands: core Making The Leap, your remit would be directly with the first three strands and your team will be responsible for generating the income for core Making The Leap.
Role overview:
As a member of MTL’s senior management team, you will take responsibility for the organisation’s growth and outward facing initiatives. You will lead and manage the organisation’s portfolio of social mobility leadership strands, and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will provide dynamic day-to-day leadership for the MTL’s directorate responsible for income generation, impact, research, communications and policy, and ensure the organisation continues to be an exemplar of innovation, integrity and collaboration. You will also be contributing to, implementing and monitoring delivery of the organisation’s strategic plan.
