East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach which was developed to support people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. However, its application is far broader than only homelessness. It considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

What you'll do:

* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
* Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
* Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
* Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
* Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
* Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
* Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
* Managing customer referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
* Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
* Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
* Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
* Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc
* Taking on shift leading responsibilities by coordinating and leading shifts in the absence of a manager
* Being responsible for the handover of key information between shifts
* Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures
* Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills

About the role:

We work within a coordinated partnership response to violence against women and girls as part of the Angelou Partnership. Within the partnership ADVANCE provides independent domestic abuse advocacy and support for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.

The IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process specialising in working with clients at high risk. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Part of the role will to be to establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with services providing services to clients and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership. As a Core IDVA will work across the boroughs mentioned above, under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.

To be successful as the Core IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

To be successful as a Core IDVA, you’ll need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved in mental health services, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

• Proven effectiveness in stakeholder engagement, with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior audiences.

To perform this role, you’ll need the following experience:

• At least 6 years of experience in evidence generation and impact modelling within global health. Experience in the SRHR sector is strongly preferred, but not essential.
• Proven expertise in managing complex modelling projects and methodologies such as multi-sectoral impact evaluations in development contexts
• Experience presenting to diverse and senior audiences and have led meetings to facilitate insight generation and model development
• Experience with donor engagement and high-value project management, including reporting, and delivering strategic deliverables.

Formal education/qualification

In this role, you will provide efficient and compliant financial management support for our on-demand service, which is crucial for advising a diverse range of aid actors—including donor institutions, UN agencies, NGOs, civil society organisations, financial institutions, and the private sector—on integrating conflict and gender sensitivity into their strategies. The CRM Systems Manager champions and enables long-term customer engagement through the management and continued development of our CRM systems, primarily Tessitura. In this role you will research and develop new business opportunities in line with our funding priorities and manage a portfolio of statutory and grant opportunities and funders. This will involve working with senior managers for bids on their services and conducting both internal and sector research into VAWG, health and social care, advocacy and advice. You will be required to proof read and edit the wider team’s bids, record submissions on the CRM system, and prepare reports for the senior leadership team and funders.

We are seeking a Finance Officer with a keen eye for detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills, to take on purchase ledger and payroll administration duties in our Finance Department.   You will have either begun on the path of attaining a financial qualification or had some experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all purchases, payments and returns, including supplier invoices, staff payments (salaries, expenses and advances), project and contractor payments and credit card transactions.  Responsible for project reporting against budget.

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.
