What you’ll do:
- Own and manage the new product development (NPD) process for live and blended learning programmes.
- Lead the end-to-end design, development and pilot delivery of CPD courses and other learning programmes.
- Lead go to market (GTM) planning and execution for new and re-launched learning programmes to achieve RCR Learning’s commercial targets.
- Plan, undertake and synthesise market research and user testing activities to ensure new products are innovative, meet market demand and are financially viable.
- Lead reviews and redevelopment of existing short courses, ensuring products evolve to meet learners’ needs and market changes.

About AAFDA
Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) is a specialist national charity supporting families bereaved by domestic homicide and working to improve responses to domestic abuse, homicide and suicide prevention. We provide expert advocacy, training, and policy development to influence systemic change and ensure that lessons are learned after domestic abuse related deaths.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Training and Events Officer to support our growing training and development programmes and help raise the profile of AAFDA’s work across the UK. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone with experience in training, event management, and partnership development who is passionate about improving responses to domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Develop, implement, and evaluate AAFDA’s internal and external training programmes.
- Deliver AAFDA Training Programmes
- Coordinate and manage the AAFDA Conference
- Assessment of workbooks associated with AAFDA’s Level 3 Accredited training
- Produce high-quality training materials and resources suitable for live on line, and in person training. .
- Organise, coordinate, and deliver events aligned with AAFDA’s strategic goals.
- Support the development of an Induction and CPD framework for staff.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the domestic abuse and criminal justice sectors.
- Identify new training and engagement opportunities to generate income and enhance AAFDA’s impact.
- Stay informed on developments, research, and best practice in domestic abuse and homicide/suicide prevention.
About You
You’ll bring energy, initiative, and strong communication skills to this important role. You’ll be confident delivering training and engaging diverse audiences of all levels of experience, and you’ll have excellent organisational and relationship-building skills.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and current research.
- Experience designing and delivering training
- Training/Education qualification in training adults – minimum of Level 3
- Experience planning and running events.
- Experience of running a conference
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using digital tools.
- Flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally work evenings/weekends.

Purpose - what you will be achieving
The Programme Officer will be responsible for the administration and delivery of the Academy’s women in research programmes, including working collaboratively with external consultants that will facilitate the delivery of mentoring training and career development workshops. The role provides an opportunity for a person passionate about supporting the next generation of researchers to be involved in the delivery of our unique portfolio of programmes.
In addition, staff are encouraged to take part in cross-team projects, for example in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in our activities and to contribute to initiatives such as staff learning lunches and networking opportunities.
The Academy is an outward-facing organisation and as Programme Officer at the Academy you will have the opportunity to engage with a range of stakeholders including Fellows and senior academics, professional organisations and researchers.
About the role - what you will be doing
- Administration and delivery of the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN – women in leadership programmes
- Shared organisation and delivery of a variety of online and in-person workshops and events for the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes, with individual responsibility for developing and delivering specific events within the programme
- Working with professional consultants, who will assist in the development of the Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes and facilitate mentoring training and career development workshops
- Supporting mentees and mentors during the pairing process by monitoring the Academy’s mentoring portal and CRM system, managing the mentoring inbox queries and providing accurate and frequent reporting on mentoring uptake via the CRM’s reporting tools
- Liaising with the Business information team to raise programme areas that rely on CRM support and require improvements
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders, including universities, funding partners and biomedical and health researchers, to promote these programmes and to encourage participation
- Researching developments in programmes areas and the needs of discrete groups of aspiring biomedical and health researchers
- Producing published career development information, guidance and resources, both print and digital
- Raising the profile of the programmes to highlight the Academy as a leader in the field
- Monitoring and evaluating the success of the programmes and assisting with the production of high-quality reports.
- Coordinating communications activity, and may include newsletter and maintenance of relevant sections of the Academy’s website
- Liaising with Academy Fellows, stakeholders, funders and other professional bodies
- Updating Academy Officers, Council and Senior Management Team through papers and briefings
- Supporting the wider programmes and career team activities as required
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties that can reasonably be expected of this post

Out "Kitchen at the Stud" project is a new initiative funded in partnership with the Royal Borough of Richmond. The Kitchen is a fully refurbished resource at the heart of our Horticultural Service based in grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
The Community Garden is an extensive horticultural resource and the kitchen project is an integrated part of our developing programme of learning and skills development. The Kitchen Lead will work with the garden team in building the kitchen into both a publicly accessible amenity, a training resource, seasonal cafe available on open days and for targeted group dining in addition to exploring the potential for product lines for public sale.

As a Grants and Learning Officer, you’ll be helping us to deliver our ambitious, nationwide grants programme. We currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-30 year old creatives, and have a busy grants cycle to manage, alongside ever-increasing numbers of applications.
This year, we’re building and migrating to a new grants database and you’ll play an integral role on the project team. In addition, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of grants, and help with all aspects of the funding cycle. You’ll support applicants and funded partners, make funding recommendations, administer grants, provide feedback and support, and visit projects.

Key Responsibilities
Grant Making
- Relationship management for a diverse portfolio of grants within allocated areas or specialisms.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations.
Purpose of Role
This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.
In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits.
The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.
