Key responsibility:
- This is a dynamic role at the intersection of grassroots partnerships, evidence-building and organisational learning. You will play a key part in deepening our work with rights-holder-led and women-led partners, while helping design and coordinate Population Matters’ global grassroots network of partners, ambassadors and collaborators.
- You will help build and nurture relationships across our key regions, supporting the development of a connected, values-driven grassroots network that strengthens shared learning, collective advocacy and systems change.
- Working closely with partners, you will strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems, ensuring projects are ethical, evidence-based and grounded in lived realities. From developing practical tools to leading the collection of case studies, your work will translate complex impact evidence into clear, persuasive and compelling narratives for funders, media and wider audiences. Exceptional written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- You will collaborate closely with Fundraising and Advocacy & Influencing teams to develop an Impact Compendium and support appeals, while helping implement Population Matters’ organisational MEAL framework across all goals and programmes.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled training developer to join our growing charity, to develop two eLearning courses that support our goals to train school chefs nationwide. This role will transform our existing flagship Chef Educator programme into a bitesize eLearning course and create a new School Food Standards course, making high-quality chef training accessible, practical and engaging for every school chef.

About you and the role
We are looking for a creative and systematic Training Development Lead to help us develop two eLearning training courses to support school chefs across the country engage with professional development.
In this role, you will lead two key training projects. First, you will take the lead on a major digital transformation, evolving our existing flagship School Chef Educator programme, which is currently a 10-week hybrid model, into a streamlined, high-quality, eLearning training course. Working closely with the Chef Educator team, you will transform the course content into a bitesize, accessible online course that will be available nationally. You will work with school chefs to feed into the design, delivery, and pilot of the course, embedding feedback loops to ensure early improvements. You will work with our evaluation team to ensure the course meets our organisation’s goals, whilst embedding impact and evaluation metrics into the back end of the course design.
Second, you will lead the creation of a brand-new eLearning course focused on School Food Standards, ensuring every school chef has the tools to meet modern nutritional and quality benchmarks. The course will be made available to all school chefs nationwide and is therefore required to be accessible and easily digestible to all types of learners. This short course will provide the bedrock to understand the School Food Standards, to ensure compliance and improvements can be made nationwide throughout school kitchens.
Training for school chefs is currently not mandatory, nor commonplace, a core mission of ours to change, therefore the online-only courses need to truly meet the requirements of trainees, with every minute of training being practical, engaging and delivering high-impact.

Key responsibilities:
Your primary objective is to create two eLearning training courses for school chefs; School Chef Educator & School Food Standards. Your day-to-day will involve:

Audit the existing 10-week hybrid School Chef Educator programme and reimagining its delivery for a 100% digital environment.

Design and develop the end-to-end eLearning course for the School Food Standards, ensuring it is accessible, interactive, and compliant with English regulations.

Work with Programme Managers, Chef Trainers and the Chief Innovation Officer for content information and development of both courses.

Lead content creation, from scripting video lessons, designing interactive quizzes and self reflective tasks, and creating downloadable resources, specifically tailored for a time poor audience.

Develop learner journeys, ensuring it is intuitive for users who may have varying levels of literacy and digital literacy, and who may learn across desktop and mobile devices whilst on-site.

Work closely with our stakeholders, including school chefs, to ensure all content is grounded in the practical realities of school catering.

Test and iterate on course modules based on pilot feedback to ensure high completion rates and genuine skill acquisition.
Essential skills & experience:

Experience in developing eLearning training courses from scratch, ideally within a Learning Management System (LMS) environment.

Experience of successfully converting face-to-face or hybrid training into fully digital formats that maintain high levels of learner engagement.

Out The Box (OTB) – hands-on analogue mixing workshops in leading London studios, giving emerging producers practical experience with desks, outboard gear and professional engineers while bridging digital and analogue production techniques.

Bioregional Learning Centre (BLC) is a place-based systems-change organisation rooted in South Devon. We work with communities, institutions and landscapes to grow the capacities needed for a regenerative, climate resilient, bioregional future.
We are seeking a Bioregional Learning Manager to help design and run a new learning programme in bioregional practice and to coordinate the emerging Bioregional Learning Alliance – an international community of practitioner-educators.
This is a new kind of role. We’re not looking for a ‘finished article’ or a conventional academic. We’re looking for someone who is values-led, curious and organised, and who wants to co-create something pioneering alongside others.
The role
You will:
- Co-design and evolve a practice-led curriculum in bioregional learning and leadership (online and in-person).
- Plan and manage courses and events, including a South Devon learning pathway and international partner offers.
- Coordinate the BLA, supporting meetings, communication and light-touch governance.
- Build and steward relationships with practitioners, communities and partner institutions (including universities and learning centres).

Essential skills & experience
We expect you to bring most of the following:
- Deep alignment with regenerative, place-based and more-than-human ways of working
- Experience designing, coordinating or delivering adult / professional learning (formal or informal)

About the Role
This role sits within the team responsible for the professional, statutory and regulatory elements of youth work. Key Responsibilities
As a Learning & Development Officer, you will support:
- Delivery of local youth work curriculum commissions, from inception to completion.

- Development, adaptation and refinement of learning and development tools, templates, and materials.
- Gathering and organising insight, learning and feedback to inform curriculum improvement.

About the Role
This role will lead Trase’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning agenda. Working as part of Trase’s Impact Team, you will strengthen our evidence base on how Trase influences decisions of governments, businesses and civil society on commodity trade, building credibility with external stakeholders, including donors, and supporting the ongoing development of our theory of change.
Trase has made a significant investment over the last decade in developing an initiative-wide culture for learning and knowledge-based decision making including an established and regularly reviewed Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function and annual plan.
As we enter a new strategic period (2026 – 2030) we are seeking to further strengthen the MEL function and invest more in understanding how our data and intelligence influences decisions and the role of transparency in driving change.
Our work spans 6 outcomes with a focus on influencing decisions, priorities and building capacity of civil society governments and the private sector in key producer countries and export markets for forest risk commodities.
Responsibilities
1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) strategy and implementation (20%)
- Lead the development and implementation of MEL strategy and annual work plan
- Quality assurance and coordination of MEL inputs from across the team.
- Review and maintain MEL data collection and knowledge management tools.
- Build awareness and motivation for effective MEL across the team.
- Support the role of MEL in influencing the development of Trase’s theory of change, strategy and planning.
2. Monitoring and reporting (30%)
- Strengthen Trase’s monitoring framework including using new approaches to integrate qualitative data and better understand the significance of Trase’s contributions (including change stories and outcome harvesting) across our intermediate outcomes, long-term outcomes and impact goals.
- Quarterly progress reporting of outcomes and outputs for internal management.
- Support on donor reporting including drafting narrative reports and updating results framework.
3. Evaluation and learning (50%)
Oversight of biannual external evaluations and annual review of effectiveness questions across sustainability, impact, relevance, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support internal reviews and evaluations across Trase teams and partners.
- Strengthen Trase’s learning culture, supporting team leads on facilitating learning sessions, retrospectives and thematic evaluations on key topics and applying these lessons in planning and decision-making.
