As the Finance Manager (UK), you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day finance function. You will oversee systems and procedures, ensuring high standards of financial management and service delivery. You will provide management and oversight of the UK Finance function at both an operational and managerial level, acting as the final point of contact for all UK finance matters for staff and budget holders.
In this role, you will also be a key member of the WfWI-Global finance team, managing the relationship between the UK office and the wider global finance network.

About the team
This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.
The Operations team comprises the Director of Finance and Operations, HR and Learning Manager, Head of Finance, HR Officer, Finance and Operations Assistant and a part time Administrator. Payroll and IT support are outsourced.
About this role
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the Chief Executive at Impetus plays a vital role in providing high-level administrative and project management support to the Chief Executive and ensuring the smooth operating of the Senior Management Team (SMT). The EA acts as a key liaison between the Chief Executive and internal/external stakeholders, managing sensitive information and handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks.
This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer creative solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
Executive Support:
- Provide sophisticated calendar management for the Chief Executive.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the Chief Executive, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature.
- Prioritise and determine the appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect the Chief Executive’s style and organisational policy.
- Prioritise inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.

A Rocha UK is a unique Christian nature conservation charity, mobilising Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We are the UK member of the international A Rocha federation of Christian conservation charities, with sister organisations in 24 countries. A Rocha UK has a staff of 25 and many volunteers. We run nature conservation activities on our two reserves, advise a national network of conservation partners, inspire Christians to protect nature and act on climate change through our Wild Christian scheme, and run the popular Eco Church scheme for local churches. Purpose of role:
Increasing and diversifying the sources of funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. The Grants and Legacies Manager will play a key role identifying potential granting bodies, writing and submitting bids, and managing reporting on grants from a range of sources, including large foundations, and Church denominations. In doing so, they will work closely with other staff, especially the CEO, programme staff, and other members of the fundraising team. They will also manage occasional legacies and, as capacity allows, develop a proactive legacy promotion programme. About Chapter One
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. About the Role
The Human Resources (HR) & Administrative Assistant will provide support to the CEO, Line Managers and the wider team with a range of HR related and administrative tasks. They will work remotely and will need to have access to a reliable internet connection. They will report to the CEO.
This role is ideal for someone who wishes to pursue a career in HR, and Chapter One is willing to support the postholder to gain external qualifications. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and the post-holder must be permanently based in the UK at the time of applying and for the duration of their employment.

Main duties will include:

Role Overview

Key responsibilities
Programme delivery
-
Account and contract management of relationships with a portfolio of Delivery Partners and Grantees within your geographical location

Ensure that Delivery Partners and Grantees understand their programme and grant requirements and are successfully delivering against those
-
Support Project Managers in coordinating and administering a range of project activities through the project lifecycle including contracting, onboarding, monitoring progress, event management and delivery and data collection

Conduct visits to youth organisations engaged in our digital and physical delivery
-
Support the Impact team with monitoring and evaluation of our work as required, including data input and collection
-
Support the External Relations team with opportunities to engage media and politicians with specific projects.
Facilitation and training
-
Deliver engaging and effective facilitation, training and events across both digital and physical platforms.

Translate curriculum, content and workforce development tools into impactful delivery for youth workers and young people across both digital and physical platforms.
Network Development
-
Build knowledge of the provision of support for young people in your geographical location to enable you to act as an effective relationship builder, networker and connector

Actively engage individuals, organisations and specific networks that can support development of our delivery (e.g., employment networks, regional infrastructure organisations, Violence Reduction Networks)

Facilitate Delivery and Grantee networks and collaboration spaces as per the requirements of our youth work provision and network offer

Engage Delivery Partners and Grantees with our network offer and facilitate the embedding of our youth development content and workforce support tools

Identify opportunities to showcase excellent Delivery Partner and/or Grantee practice to the wider network through our internal and external channels

Develop regional network insights and intelligence and feed those into the development of our network offer
