Here's what the team will be looking for:
You bring strong experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues, gained through paid and/or voluntary roles. You have developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people with a range of mental health conditions and know how to communicate with empathy, dignity, and respect, fostering trust and engagement.
Your knowledge of relevant mental health legislation, including the Care Programme Approach (CPA), enables you to navigate complex systems and advocate effectively for those you support. You work in alignment with the principles of recovery, applying a range of recovery-focused approaches that empower individuals to take control of their own wellbeing and progress.
You are equally confident working collaboratively as part of a team or independently, showing initiative and leadership, particularly in the induction and support of volunteers. With good IT skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and the internet, you maintain clear and accurate records and communication. Your strong literacy and numeracy skills support effective reporting and documentation.
You demonstrate the ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour with calmness, professionalism, and a non-judgemental, anti-discriminatory approach. Flexible and reliable, you are willing to work unsociable hours, including early and late shifts and occasional weekends, to meet service needs.
You have a solid understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to respond appropriately to concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all

The Youth Employability Service 

CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET and those who have been Electively Home Educated. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.

The Team

The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and /or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills and Employability Adviser.

You will support a caseload of young people aged 16 to 18 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET with part of your caseload being Electively Home Educated Year 11 young people who may be at risk of becoming NEET. You will guide them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

Working across the West of the county, including Wealden, with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

This role also supports our Electively Home Educated Year 11’s with transition support to their Post 16 pathway.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, building trust and ensuring that casework is delivered with care and consistency. Your role will involve assessing needs, action planning, reviewing progress, and adapting support as required. You'll also act as a champion for relevant opportunities and resources—ensuring young people, parents/carers, providers, and wider stakeholders are aware of what’s available and how it can help.

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with NEET, Risk of NEET young people, who understands the post-16 education and training landscape and the importance of person-centred support. You will be a confident communicator and collaborator, able to manage a varied caseload and make a genuine impact on the lives of the young people you support.

About the role:

We are looking for a Clinical Transformation Lead to drive and deliver strategic and operational transformation initiatives across Princess Alice Hospice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service innovation. The role will also help us deliver on our ambitious strategy to support more people who need our services and expertise.

You will lead on the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical transformation projects, including our clinical strategy, working collaboratively and alongside multidisciplinary teams to embed sustainable change and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring the strategy aligns with our vision and objectives.

Engaging colleagues, volunteers, patients and families throughout the change journey, you will work with internal and external colleagues to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in clinical services, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.

About you:

You will be motivated, have excellent communication skills and strong leadership capabilities. 

You will have a degree or diploma in health, management or a related field, and a high level of experience in leading and delivering successful transformation or improvement projects.

You will have experience of working with complex data and will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills ensuring robust analysis and clear presentation of data to a wide range of audiences. You will have experience of managing projects and / or programmes in complex organisations and a track record of delivery. You will be comfortable with preparing reports in different formats, and be confident in reporting to executives and Trustees on delivery and impact.

The role works alongside clinical teams to lead, develop and embed changes. You may or may not be a clinician, but it is critical that you understand how clinicians work.

Handel Hendrix House care for and present to the public the homes of two of the greatest musicians to have ever lived in London: George Frideric Handel and Jimi Hendrix. The charity presents these buildings as an evolving celebration of Handel and Hendrix’s lives, sharing their music, stories, and collections as a source of learning, enjoyment, and inspiration for all. The museum has undergone extensive renovations, and expanded the museum’s footprint to create an engaging visitor attraction reaching at least 30,000 visitors per year.

This is a great opportunity to make an impact within as the interim Museum Commercial Manager. You will lead on all commercial activities at Handel Hendrix House delivering against targets for visits, retail and venue hire.

You will oversee the museum’s ticketing operations and merchandising offer, ensuring a seamless and welcoming visitor experience while maximising income through both admissions and retail sales.

The day-to-day marketing and digital activities will be managed by the Marketing and Fundraising Officer, however you will work together with colleagues to ensure that the Handel Hendrix House commercial offer reflects the brand and values of the organisation. Working closely with an external commercial events partner you will promote Handel Hendrix House as a desirable venue for hire, maximising income.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Excellent commercial acumen, with circa 5 years’ experience in a similar role or in a retail environment.
• Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving financial targets, with the ability to grow resources of the charity for greater impact
• A positive, people-focused approach with experience managing teams and building strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and suppliers

Overall purpose

The Employer Engagement Manager (EEM) will play a critical role in ensuring refugees supported by Breaking Barriers access meaningful, opportunities that align with client needs and labour market demand. The postholder will lead employer outreach and partnership building in priority sectors and embed consistent systems and processes that make employer engagement coordinated and impactful across the organisation. The EEM will support pathways, work placements, recruitment pipelines and workshops by ensuring employer input is actively embedded where relevant.

This is a strategic, hands-on role, the successful candidate will map and cultivate employer relationships, secure employer input into sector pathways, workshops and recruitment initiatives, translate labour market intelligence into programme improvements, and design the operational processes that enable Programmes and Corporate Partnerships to work together effectively. You will operate in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with the Programmes, Corporate Partnerships and Client Services teams but will not hold direct line-management of delivery staff.

The role is set up to be ambitious but achievable within 12 months. The priority is to build tested, repeatable employer engagement practice (relationships, processes, insight-sharing and measurable impact) that can form the foundations of a permanent employer engagement function if/when funding allows.
