About the Candidate
We are looking to recruit two exceptional candidates to the role of Alumni Engagement Assistant. This vital role will be the first point of contact for alumni, as well as having responsibility for alumni communications, engaging alumni with volunteering, and assisting with events.
The role would suit a highly creative individual with the ability to write compelling copy for external audiences, build strong relationships with a diverse range of individuals internal and external to the organisation, and with good initiative and problem-solving skills. You will bring relevant work experience or volunteering experience, which may be from the Higher Education or Not for Profit sector, or from a communications or customer service role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Insights and Evaluation team at Dementia UK in a pivotal role that promotes a culture of learning and evaluation across the charity.
As the Insights and Evaluation Advisor, you will lead and support evaluations that measure and communicate the impact of Admiral Nursing and wider Dementia UK initiatives. You will design and deliver robust evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, ensuring high standards of data quality, ethical practice and GDPR compliance.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, you will provide expert advice on evaluation design, data collection and analysis, to develop datasets that drive evidence-based practice. In addition, you will support Admiral Nurses to build their evaluation skills, enabling them to measure and communicate the difference they make to families affected by dementia. By embedding insight into projects and services, you will help turn data into meaningful action, informing decisions, campaigns and improving outcomes across Dementia UK.
To succeed in this role, you will have a First Degree and demonstratable experience in a relevant discipline e.g. health research and evaluation, health service improvement, public health and social research. You will need strong evaluation, research and project management skills including advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Additionally, you should be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to influence and advise colleagues at all levels.

About You
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. · Provide high-quality administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing Director and wider team, including diary management, meeting coordination, minute-taking, and general team logistics.
· Help develop and deliver fundraising materials across direct marketing and digital channels, gather content, and ensure assets are approved and shared with key stakeholders.
· Maintain and update fundraising budgets, process invoices, and support post-appeal reviews with external suppliers and partners.
· Contribute to digital activities by supporting basic analytics, user journey testing, and content creation for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, with opportunities to take part in digital innovation workshops.

Oaklands & St Kilda's is made up of two newly refurbished six-bedroom homes, located close to each other in Ealing, West London. We work with up to 12 young people at a time, providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Many of the young people joining us are moving on from hospital, stepping down from more intensive placements, or transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
Our team delivers 24-hour trauma-informed and psychologically informed support. You'll play a key role in helping each young person shape their own support and service experience. Everyone receives a bespoke welcome pack and is encouraged to personalise their living space, helping them feel at home from day one.
We place a strong emphasis on participation and co-production. Young people are encouraged to make decisions about their care, engage in partnership meetings, and take part in activities that build skills and confidence - whether that's cooking, budgeting, managing medication, or accessing education and work opportunities.
Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
This role consists of three weekly shifts from 22:00 to 08:00, with double cover for each shift.

Purpose of the Post
To work as part of our Homeless Services Team, providing tailored support to asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees, helping them prepare for life in the UK, avoid crisis situations, and reduce the risk of homelessness and rough sleeping. - Support with paperwork, applications, and referrals to statutory/voluntary services.
- Crisis prevention planning for those leaving asylum accommodation.
- Facilitate group information sessions at Lifeskills activities (e.g. football, workshops), covering:
- Rights and responsibilities after gaining refugee status.
- Access to housing and homelessness prevention.
- Health and wellbeing, including GP registration.
- Financial literacy, banking, and benefits.
- Employment and education pathways.
- Build trust and positive relationships with participants, creating safe spaces for learning and support.
- Act as a link between participants and local statutory/voluntary organisations, strengthening pathways into services.
- Support individuals moved outside Manchester to connect with appropriate services in their new location.

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.
We are looking for a Community Gardening Assistant who will support the Farm Lead and community development lead for Southampton in delivering the vision for the farm, the oasis academies, and its wider community by supporting the growth of the farms garden project, as well as community gardens across the city. These tasks will include:
· Delivering garden based educational and wellbeing boosting activities
· Working alongside our volunteers, young people, and adults with learning disabilities to care for the garden by planting, watering, and sowing.
· To work with Oasis Academies across the city, as well as partner organisations, to support the creation of community garden spaces to boost wellbeing across the city.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
· Relevant qualifications or experience in horticulture

About the role
Reporting in to the Global Head of Programme Policy and Practice, the Governance & Rights Lead is a key role designated as the single point of accountability governance and rights leadership across the organisation, aligning with Christian Aid’s organisational values and goals.
The post-holder will be responsible for co-developing a thematic strategy, collaborating with the Strategy and Learning Manager in organisational effectiveness, and with the Policy and Advocacy Lead in the Policy and Influencing division within the Impact Department.
The role is ultimately accountable for the delivery of the Thematic Strategy on Governance & Rights and for reporting progress towards this at regular intervals to measure success and maximise impact.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Governance & Rights Lead include:
- Co-develop, create and deliver a thematic strategy for the whole of the Governance & Rights thematic priority, including clear measures of progress and impact/success which are then reported against at regular intervals aligning with organisational values and goals.
- Lead as the organisational technical expert on governance and rights programming and collaborate with staff across the Impact and Fundraising departments so they are able to draw on governance and rights expertise – ours and our partners’ – in order to design, fundraise for and facilitate the delivery of strong signature programme work on governance and rights, maximising impact and income.
- Foster a culture of learning and improvement by identifying best practice among our partners and facilitating knowledge sharing across partners; by commissioning (or directly undertaking when appropriate) research and learning reviews to evidence good practice and course correct where needed.
- Build strong relationships with key policy and advocacy colleagues – particularly the Global Policy and Advocacy Lead for Governance and Rights –, focusing on ensuring insight and learning from programme practice feeds into, and influences public policy development, and provides evidence for advocacy materials.
- Collaborate with the Strategy and Learning Manager and the Impact and Evidence Manager to ensure appropriate evidence is being gathered and consolidated to measure and communicate the impact of our work on governance and rights and to adapt our signature programme approaches as necessary.
- Lead and build external networks so Christian Aid’s work on governance and rights is presented and promoted nationally and internationally, resulting in 1) an enhanced organisational profile within the sector to maximise our impact, 2) a portfolio of work that is innovative and in line with sector best-practice, 3) a pool of potential partners to engage and work with.
- Programme advisory and resource materials on governance and rights are developed on the basis of organisational values, goals, strategies, adaptive programming approaches, and informed by ongoing learning of Christian Aid

- Postgraduate or equivalent in International Development or relevant discipline.

Our work across Newcastle
Volunteering Matters play a vital role supporting volunteering in Newcastle. Since 2005, we have been operating Volunteer Centre Newcastle (VCN). This service provides a wide range of support around all things volunteering to 1250+ charities, organisations, and groups locally. Each year, we also support 2500+ members of the public who are interested in volunteering and need support to get started. We also lead the Home from Hospital and Community Support project where volunteers support older people with their transition home following a hospital admission.
In early 2025, we launched the Good Neighbours Newcastle project funded by Newcastle City Council. We deliver this project alongside our delivery partner organisation, Search Newcastle, with a second partner organisation scheduled to join in early 2026.
Good Neighbours project
We would all like to live in a place that has a sense of community, where people look out for their neighbours. The Good Neighbours project aims to foster a feeling of positive wellbeing and independence for those who may be socially isolated, or who don’t have many people around them, giving that “little bit of help”.
The project helps people in the community feel safe, supported, and more able to live an independent life, whilst preventing, reducing and delaying the need for formal support through Adult Social Care. It also provides people the opportunity to volunteer a little time, in a flexible way, to make a difference in their own community. We know volunteering can lead to enhanced skills, and positive wellbeing. Volunteers provide practical or social support, completing “one-off’ or short-term tasks, supporting a neighbour. This includes tasks like collecting essentials, driving someone to a GP appointment, helping with odd jobs around the house, light gardening, or checking in with someone for a cuppa and chat.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Project Manager to join our team in Newcastle. The right candidate would be someone with excellent knowledge of “best practice” in Volunteer Management and with experience of establishing new and exciting volunteering programmes.
This is a senior role within our Newcastle team so it is essential that the postholder is agile, can work flexibly, is an excellent communicator, and can build strong working relationships with a range of people.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Good Neighbours project, meeting ambitious goals, ensuring all volunteers and beneficiaries achieve positive outcomes
