What you’ll do

As the Research Tutor, you will support the delivery of the MSc Psychology and Trauma programme by supervising student research, contributing to teaching and assessment, and providing academic and pastoral support to ensure students successfully complete their studies in line with UCL standards.

• Research Supervision & Assessment – Supervise MSc research projects, advise on ethics applications, and mark student assessments (e.g. podcasts, dissertations)
• Teaching & Workshops – Deliver lectures, workshops, and potentially teaching on research methods or academic writing.
• Personal Tutoring – Act as the first point of contact for assigned students, monitoring progress, wellbeing, and study skills, and signposting support where needed.
• Collaboration & Programme Development – Work closely with Programme Directors and fellow tutors to ensure effective delivery and development of the research project component.
• Professional & Institutional Duties – Participate in meetings, maintain professional development, and uphold Anna Freud and UCL policies including safeguarding, EDI, and information governance.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will be a doctoral-level researcher with expertise in child and adolescent trauma, strong supervisory and teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports postgraduate students in completing high-quality research.

• Doctoral qualification (PhD or professional doctorate) in a relevant field (or near completion), with excellent understanding of psychology and neuroscience as applied to trauma in children and young people.
• Proven experience supervising student research projects, including support with ethics applications, research design, and academic writing.
• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including confidence in using statistical software such as SPSS and R.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tutor, mentor, and provide pastoral support to diverse postgraduate students.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing workload and deadlines while demonstrating inclusive practice and awareness of EDI principles.

Creative Support is seeking committed Waking Night Support Workers for an exciting opportunity to join our team under the Transforming Care Agenda using a Trauma Informed approach. We are seeking a highly committed, proactive and professional Deputy Service Manager to lead in the operational management of a specialist registered care home located in Witham, Essex. The service has been developed to meet the needs of people who have a learning disability and/or physical disabilities. The service supports 18 individuals in three detached bungalows. The accommodation has been carefully designed to meet the 24 hour needs of individuals that live there and has been rated as Good by the CQC. All tenants receive well planned, personalised support to enable them to be more confident and independent. The care provided includes aspects of intimate personal care, medication administration including epilepsy rescue medication, moving and handling and support with nutrition.

As the Deputy Service Manager, you will work together with the Registered Manager to ensure that the service remains of the highest quality, meeting all CQC and contract requirements and that this can be demonstrated through comprehensive quality and monitoring/auditing processes. You will ensure that the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner and that clients experience a fully integrated and seamless care, support and housing experience.

You will ensure that the personalized care and support delivery is in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling clients to continue to enjoy wellbeing, quality of life and community connections. You will promote and re-inforce a culture of responsive, person-centered practice and active support across the service, with relationships based on respect and unconditional positive regard.

The Bury Intensive Support Service has been developed to provide a bespoke supported living service for adults over the age of 18, with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health and complex needs. The adults accepted into the service have been identified through the Transforming Care Agenda.

This service operates 24/7, using a trauma-informed and case-management model of care, to provide support and opportunities for increased independence for three adults. We have developed a new and exciting role of Support Coordinator to provide operational leadership of the service in a sensitive and dynamic way. 

Staff members recruited will initially be required to work between our Registered Office, the service, and current care provision to ensure our service users experience a well-planned transition into their new home.

Our Support Coordinator role requires:

You will support the Service Manager in leading the team to deliver the highest standards of support, enabling service users to develop and enjoy wellbeing, quality of life, and community connections. You will promote and reinforce a culture of responsive, person-centred practice, and active support across the service. Strong working relationships will be built based on respect and unconditional positive regard. You will hold a caseload of, at least, one of the three individuals living in the service, with a clear focus on coordinating all aspects of person-centred support and record-keeping.

Creative Support is looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Support Worker to join our friendly and passionate staff team in Preston, Lancashire. At our vibrant supported living service in Preston, Lancashire we provide quality care and support to three active, fun-loving female residents with learning disabilities. Our residents love engaging in a range of exciting activities including trips to the seaside, visiting the theatre and cinema, and many more!

Your role will include:

-Providing personal care, administering medication and helping with other domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning

-Promoting service users independence and choice

-Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes

-Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest

-Part time hours to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service with a willingness to work sleep in’s, at a rate of £40 per shift

-Being a driver is essential for this role.

We are looking for candidates from all walks of life. No previous care experience is needed, just a passion for providing person-centred care and support and working in a bright, friendly environment! Full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
